I can tell that this location is better then average as well, when I grabbed the bottle I came for, one of the staff members on the floor ran over to have a conversation with me about whisky, which regions I enjoyed, a really heartfelt conversation. parking is on the street but you have to pay, and the city aggressively monitor's it, the LCBO has free parking underground, but not too convenient for someone who just wants to get in and get out. transit options are the 61 avenue road north bus only, any other transit option comes with a heck of a walk i'm never in this neighborhood, but I would definitely go out of my way to come to this location again

This store is one of those locations where you go in, order and they roll it our to ya via the rails. Good selection considering such a small store front. Sometimes, it gets super slow. 2 counters on the left side and 1 on the right. The right side is mostly used for returns, but more often than not, only 1 cash counter is operational!! WHY?!? Busy on the weekends and ridiculously congested before a long weekend. (Is this the only Beer Store in 5 mile radius?) Staff? Not the friendliest of the bunch, but they get the job done and I can get out with my ice cold 24s!! Single cans are sold here too for you single can lovers! The entire experience was fun,…read moreeducational, and most importantly, I got 30 bottles of wine out of it for $150 (using a Groupon). That's $5 per bottle! And it's really drinkable stuff!! The wine we made was a 6-week Malbec. We chose it, even though it cost slightly more, because the owner (I assume) Russ was super nice and let us try a few samples and we liked that one the best. He was really fair about letting us try things in the entire price range and was never pushy about up-selling us on the more expensive stuff, we chose it entirely on our own. I think it tastes as good as most wines in the $10-$15 range at LCBO, which is what I usually drink. We also have picked up DIY 2L beer kits ($6) from here in the past, which I also highly recommend. So simple, just drop a vial of yeast into the bottle, leave it on your kitchen counter, and in 7-10 days, BEER! We already have our next batch of wine picked out so I can't wait to go get it made.

So I decided to place an order, for a large ticket item, I'd been eyeing for a while. They confirmed the order and I was excited, they had a comparable price and the expected delivery date lined up with the completion date for a batch I had running. Well the delivery window came and passed, so I reached out, took two emails and 3 days to get a response from Zack, who apologized, and said he would get back to me with an update... Another week passes and no follow up. Placed a complaint with their pay service provider and then got another response from Zack, again apologized but this time saying they didn't have my item and they where waiting for the another shipment next month and offered a store credit (if they can't fulfill orders they already have taken payment for - why would anyone order more from them?). So curiously I reviewed their website and they were selling the same item I ordered but in a different package & they advertised as being in stock. I offered to take this in exchange for what I paid for and they could apply the offered store credit to cover the cost difference. Thought I was being reasonable and wanted to avoid having to fight for a refund and the nonsense of having to wait weeks for it to be credited back to me. Almost a week later, Still no response from Zack or the Toronto Brewing Company with either confirmation that they accepted my resolution (with tracking details it has been shipped) or that they have started to process my refund. HOPEFULLY THEY DO THE RIGHT THING AND NOT SCREW ME OVER - I hate having to write negative reviews... Will update if a positive resolution is reached.

Currently I am in my 6th month waiting for order fulfillment. Original delay was 2 months, so we are officially 4 months behind schedule. This rating doesn't take into account the delay for my order - i think that is out of their control since it was a backorder item. The reason for my 1 star review is there has been zero communication up to this point from Toronto Brewing. I have reached out multiple times through every channel available to me trying to get an answer about the status of my order, reason for additional delays, anything. Up until today I have been completely in the dark for 6 months what these guys have done with the 2500 dollars I have given them. 2 months ago I was mad. At this point im starting to feel like im getting scammed. The only way I have managed to talk to someone is by phone (despite sending multiple emails they haven't replied to a single one yet) and ive gotten through multiple times by phone, but the conversation every time has been "Oh yes. Sorry I have no information for you, but we will contact you in X days and make sure this gets dealt with" Guess how many times they have called me back? 0 Today I called them repeatedly until they finally stayed on the phone with me to give me another "We will call you back with more info in 2 days" 15 days ago they said "We will call you back in 10 days" Guess they forgot again hey? I will honestly be stunned if I receive a call from them at this point. This is the 5th time they have given me an answer like this... they have returned my call 0 times. We could include the emails I've sent them too, I think 6 of those, to which they have replied... 0 times. I will be posting this review as many places as I can. Toronto brewing if you see this and reply - there is nothing you can do at this point to change my mind. I have extended multiple opportunities for you to stop this incompetence. You have failed. At this point if my order shows up with the right items I will be surprised. I just hope the agonising time sink of chasing this company around making sure they dont scam me will be over soon.
