They also had several Coors selzers that aren't available here. They had a fairly small selection of beer. I'll be back when I'm in Niagara Falls again.

Even though it's not right in the Clifton Hill area it is still packed with out of towners like me and locals. We actually had to wait for a parking spot because the lot is so full. Everywhere outside the lot you have to pay for parking, hence the traffic in the lot. The liquor prices aren't bad and they will accept USD, and credit. I'm not sure about debit, what I do know is they wouldn't accept my Discover card. Normally I use Amex but they're charging international rates, so the hell with them on this trip. Today I used cash and the clerk made the exchange and provided change in CA currency. I picked out a 200 ml bottle of Crown Royal which costly about 11 USD, not best, but still cheaper than what you're going to get at any restaurant here. I'll probably pop back in here one more time before we go to the NY side. I'm sure we will need another night out on the town, and that whiskey is unbelievably good on a cold night.

My cousin worked here while going to school and qualified for a govm't pension. I'm not kidding!! I've lived equal parts of my life on both sides of the border, so it is a unique spot as a visitor, and an extra stop as a local. I like picking up my beer at grocery store, gas station, corner store, etc, now-a-days. If you are driving across the border, stop at the duty free and pick up a case or a bottle for about half the price. One case or bottle per adult in vehicle. It is a crime in my family to show up at gatherings, without taking advantage of the duty free allotment. Of course, a beer store trip will still be a necessity.

I stayed at Hilton Niagara Falls , drank 2 bottles in one night and had to get more before heading back. It was a must. I had fallen in love. Well, I had gotten a few different ones from lake view and they were mighty delicious. I went to the one Ferry street, but they were all out of the Vidal grape wines. I had a whole lesson on different types while at the ferry street. Long story short, while at this store, not only did I grab 4 more Vidal's..... I grabbed 2 bourbon ice wines as well. I mean $20 cad was nothing in usd. The dollar was strong while I visited. Another lesson I got while at LCBO was how this place was ran by the people. It was very interesting. After visiting Canada, I am GRATEFUL for the price of alcohol back home. All my American and Mexican liquor was so cheap!!!! I felt so rich in Canada and I was so shocked to see skyrocketing prices for a simple bottle of Smirnoff vodka. It was insane. Hennessy? More like henny who!!!!?!?! The prices for Hennessy was mind boggling.

There's staff that are standing around the rows eager to help you find what you're looking for. Very friendly service here by all the staff. Prices are reasonable, especially for the tiny shot bottles in the front near the counter. They also have a NY Lottery counter where you can play your numbers or buy some scratch tickets. There was several options to choose from so you can say our bill was up there. They also have several types of wine options for you fancy people out there. Their wine prices range depending on the quality. I've always been told about the ice wine options and to try it before I go back to the states. The liquor here is super expensive compared to what I'm used to but if you could have the option to buy liquor from the duty free before coming into the country, I would highly suggest it! I will say the best thing about this particular LCBO is the service. I have had several staff members help me on my visits (mostly for gifts). Last time I was in I was looking for a good wine for my wife's uncle, he is a huge wine guy so I wanted to wow him. I couldn't make heads or tails of what to get him so I asked for help and they guided me through the different options. They knew tons about the different wines and eventually with their help I settled on a really nice red from Spain. Her uncle loved it and it was all thanks to their help. If you need to get your drink on I would hit up this LCBO, its the best one in town.
