Friendly service, good selection of wines. Maybe needs more vintages. Overall it's a good store.
Very small location - doesn't have a good assortment of alcohol. Customer service is good.

The lady stocking the shelves was super helpful and friendly, which definitely bumped this up from 3 stars to 4. The place is not very big and kind of has a weird layout. The lady working the cash was super friendly also, although it might have been nice if she asked me before stacking all 16 tall boys in one bag, it was a little heavy to carry and would have been nice if it was in two bags. Overall, the location has the basics of what you need but probably not some of the more specific things you might be looking to find. The staff is SUPER friendly though which totally makes up for not having the ciders I was looking for.

I've wanted to go there for years, but never made it. What a shame I didn't go! It's a lovely place - big and inviting, with a lovely outdoor seating area (not today though, with the damp rain and cold). They have an inside area available for wine tastings for weddings. However, there were no tastings planned today, and now that they're closing, likely never again. No bottles are open now that they're closing. To celebrate their closing, Jabulani is offering what is left of their various wines at a discount. This is what enticed us today. I look forward to enjoying the wines we chose, and we wish the owners good luck in their retirement from Jabulani. Also good luck to the new owners, when they take over.

The selection of beers is off the charts, they have european, domestic, slavik, asian and a wide selection of local brands. I would guess that this location is probably about 1/5 the size of the downtown Rideau location, but with a much better beer selection. The staff overall is much more knowledgeable about beer, but one employee is deserving of Kudos. Dan is a wiry bearded man with dark hair and a love for beer that outshines most British soccer hooligans. He has taken the time to discuss his love for beer and order me said beers that he thinks i'll love. I live closer to multiple other LCBOs, but if you're looking for a great selection of craft beers and not just Bud or Blue, then i'd suggest you take the time to drive out. I look forward to the day when Dan gets his own store, as I will certainly drive the extra mile.

Once you get inside the store, you are greeted with an average LCBO store, which looks pretty similar to all the other locations. No. Do I even like beer? No. Am I a supportive wife? Yes. We like to do things together, so when he needs some beer brewing supplies, we go to Defalco's together. The store is well stocked. It pretty much has everything a home brewer would need. The warehouse section is dimly lit, but the place where you can brew your own beer (or make your own wine) is brightly lit. So if you don't want to buy all the equipment and just brew it there with their equipment, that's an option. My husband prefers to brew at home though, so our basement has lots of brewing gear, mostly purchased at Defalco's. Staff are pleasant. There's free parking on-site. Review #66 (2025)
