It's hard to put into words just how much I appreciate the help and guidance I have received from Rhonda Lazarus during such a difficult time in my life. My aunt was diagnosed with lung cancer on May 1st, she passed away on May 14th. Everything happened so quickly I didn't even know where to begin as far as getting my aunt's affairs in order on top of the tremendous grief of losing her. From the first phone call I had with Rhonda she was so helpful and has such a calm and caring demeanor, she was very easy to talk to and I could tell she truly cares. She came to the hospital numerous times while my aunt was there and was such an advocate in pursuing the best medical care for her. Then with the unfortunate passing of my aunt, Rhonda was able to guide me in all the right directions through this emotional time. Honestly, I would not have even known where to start. Rhonda knew all the right people to contact that would help in this type of situation. She referred me to an Estate lawyer, who is not only extremely knowledgeable- but also, fair and kind. I needed to get my aunt's house cleaned out and put up for sale. Rhonda was able to get me the help I needed with that process also with cleaners, estate sale professionals, and realtors. She has helped me every step of the way, even the times when I just needed someone to talk to and listen, she is a true-life saver. I am so grateful not only for her help but just to know her, because she is such a kind, caring, and compassionate person. Rhonda Lazarus took advantage of my Mother who had Dementia and has since passed away. Rhonda Lazarus fraudulently presented herself to Allegheny County Courts as a licensed guardian when she had no license, no training, no bond, no insurance and no knowledge nor ability to be a guardian. Rhonda Lazarus could not qualify to be bonded or to be insured because of her lack of qualifications. She lied about being bonded and being insured to the Guadian Review Board when she stated that she was bonded and insured. She repeatedly misrepresented herself to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Allegheny County Courts and my Family. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Allegheny County has no present requirements in place to protect against Rhonda Lazarus' fraudulent actions. Rhonda Lazarus' incompetence as it negatively impacted my Mom's medical treatment as Rhonda fraudulently took money from the Estate. She paid herself yet could not pay for my Mom's required medical needs and respond to the VA. Do not use Rhonda Lazarus' Services in any capacity. Seek any other viable options. You will regret it if you do. Rhonda is an incompetent fraud who has no ability or cognizant brain function. After my Mom passed, I filed a law suit against Rhonda and the lawyers informed me that they will not proceed because Rhonda is not bonded or insured as she repeatedly stated she was. There was no way to recover any of the thousands of dollars that were misused and mismanaged due Rhonda Lazarus' boneheaded decisions as guardian to the detriment to my Mom. This review is being posted as Public Service - DO NOT USE RHONDA LAZARUS IN ANY CAPACITY - RHONDA IS A FRUAD AND A VERY BAD PERSON. If there was a minus/negative star rating on yelp, then that rating would be what Rhonda would receive here. Rhonda Lazarus and Lazarus Services true rating minus 5 stars. This experience with Rhonda as the guardian has been a nightmare. My Mom is in heaven now and knows that God has a special place in hell for Rhonda. It is a sad reality that Rhonda Lazarus continues to misrepresent herself as a competent guardian. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is auditing the current legal processes to remove the ability to negatively impact an incapacitated person, as Rhonda Lazarus did to my Mom. The PA Court System is amending their current guardian requirements and laws to not appoint any guardian unless the potential guardian is licensed, certified, trained, bonded and insured so at the very least this will not continue to happen, as it did to my Mom. Until those changes happen, DO NOT USE RHONDA LAZARUS. Seek a competent guardian or better yet, seek to become guardian yourself. Clair M read more

Rhonda was a life-saver for our family. She was instrumental in assisting us with the care of my 92 year old Grandmother. She knew what questions to ask to assess the situation, listened intently and was able to sort through all the family drama to guide us to a healthy and safe solution. Rhonda has been enormously helpful as a care manager, and watched out for my friend's well-being. He stopped taking care of himself and his health spiraled precipitously downhill. While his friends and family rallied around him, the problem was bigger than we could manage--he was very oppositional. With his sister out of town, Rhonda stepped in to oversee his care, and improved his care (including insisting on a better mattress to help heal his bedsores) and kept everything on track. He had some serious setbacks at the skilled nursing facility he was staying at, and she caught mistakes that were made there and facilitated his transfer to a much better situation elsewhere, saving him many thousands of dollars. She accompanied him to doctors' appointments and advocated for him with his doctors and with the institution he's stayed at. She brought in a terrific psychiatrist for consultion and ongoing therapy. His health declined and he passed away, and again, Rhonda was right there, helping him--and all of us--through sad timeS. I recommend her highly if you want help navigating good care for your loved ones! read more

Ms. Lazarus helped me navigate care for my elderly mother while she was suffering with dementia in the last months of her life. She taught me how to better communicate with my mother verbally, and how to best provide care. On the occassions where I had Rhonda on speakerphone with my mom, she cut through my mother's fog and my mother responded extremely positively. My mom responded with joy and looked so happy during those conversations. Caring for someone you love at such a difficult time is very hard.
