BULL***T! Nothing could be futher from the truth. Not only did I pay him every penny (have all the venmo receipts to prove it), but I am the one to had to chase him to catch up. Cleanup was a 2-part job, weeks apart. Rather than paying 50% each time, he asked that when I paid for the first half, that I advance money toward the 2nd half. Then, he didn't want to do the work. His behavior was very erratic the entire time. That combined with desperation for money makes me suspect a drug problem. He would message me and ask when I was going to pay him and I'd have to send him the screen shot reminding him that I paid him when he was here! As for all the sudden 5-star reviews: As of today, there are ones such as someone from Buffalo, NY with 3 reviews. Someone from Spokane, WA who has no other reviews, etc. Bernardo has trouble showing up to Queens (which is where he lives). Mike gets one star because of how he was early on because otherwise I'd give a zero if I could. I've struggled with posting this because he is a small business but after seeing other lawns throughout the spring, summer and fall, I decided to post. We searched the neighborhood for the nicest lawns and landscaping and kept seeing signs for Mike and Marco. We called and he showed up the next day. He removed a ton of landscaping rocks and excess dirt from our backyard cleanup. The lawn looked great to start but as the summer went on his guys destroyed my lawn. Coming from the nicest lawn last year to this was horrible. I called him and texted with no response. I also asked my wife to call because I thought he might be screening calls. I spoke to his guys who pretended to listen and did nothing and actually broke a sprinkler head. I decided to fire him and he finally called back and sounded unfazed. I called my old landscaper right back and will never make this mistake again. It's sad because the houses he handles are bigger and have more landscaping than mine. I guess stealing our money was just fine for him. Edit: because you can't reply, yes you did respond back after numerous calls and texts. You finally called back when I left a message and canceled your service and I thanked you because I was being nice and don't like to be rude.
