I remembered Junior and his team and reached out. Junior is great to work with, coming out to do a personal evaluation of my property's needs. I received a detailed estimate prior to the start of work, and found it very easy to get my questions answered by email. Junior's team did an amazing job sprucing up my front yard! I had them sod, trim my large tree, pull out a nearly-dead evergreen and replace it with a baby version of the same kind of tree, trench my downspout gutters, and install new hydrangea bushes. This on top of pulling out a stubborn tree trying to grow between my patio bricks at the back of the house plus cleaning up the back garden patches. He will show up and take your money. He and his crew will show up and do a day's work, and then you'll never see him again. He will tell you he's coming back to finish the job, but he will never show up even though you've already paid him. He did the same thing to two of my neighbors. Do not use him.

We had several local businesses come out and bid and even though Tri-State was not the least expensive Roger knew what he was talking about and gave a fair price. The cheaper alternative would have required a lift that wouldn't have fit in the space, so I'm thinking the cheaper bid would have become more expensive when it came down to it. Anyway, Roger and his large crew showed up 15 minutes early, checked in with us, and got to work. They had one climber, who I watched move and check his ropes every time after he made a cut, and the rest of the guys kept busy cutting the sections on the ground and hauling the pieces out to their wood chipper. Roger even offered to get rid of some other junk branches (from the slow death period) that we'd put in the back yard. I am impressed with their attention to safety, work ethic, and end result. Chris was the only one who had read what I wrote. His wasn't quite the cheapest bid, but I had confidence that he cared enough to do a good job - and he did. It was money well spent. I was amazed how quickly they worked, and how careful they were about doing exactly what I'd said I wanted. Chris was very accommodating in coordinating with my dogs. There was one error, in that they delivered the wrong thickness of planks. Despite the work involved, Chris cheerfully swapped them out for the ones that were specified. I would have no reluctance about working with Chris again, and have already recommended him to friends.
