Extremely Disappointing Experience - Poor Customer Service and Lack of Respect for Customers…read more I have been coming to Tire Kingdom for years and have trusted them with the tires on two different vehicles. Unfortunately, my experiences over the past six weeks have been so disappointing that I feel compelled to share what happened. On August 27th, I purchased two new tires for the front of my car. The staff decided I needed four new tires but had to order the additional two. Instead of simply installing the two new tires I purchased on the front, they moved my old tires to the front and put the new tires on the rear. When I questioned this decision, I was essentially treated like I didn't know what I was talking about. They insisted they had my safety in mind, but the way my concerns were dismissed was unacceptable. My husband was understandably very upset about the situation as well. I also paid for a wheel alignment during that visit. Since they moved my tires around, my car has been shaking worse than it did before. That is not the result I expected after paying for new tires and an alignment. Six weeks later, I returned to replace the other two tires, which were now on the front. To my surprise, the exact same tires were suddenly $50 more per tire--a $100 increase in just six weeks. When I questioned the price difference, instead of receiving a straightforward explanation, I was met with excuses and jokes. First, someone blamed it on "we voted for Trump." When I made it clear I was seriously asking about the price, they joked that the dollar amount changes every day. I pointed out that a $50 increase per tire in six weeks seemed like a lot more than ordinary inflation. Then came the explanation that I was getting Goodyear Eagle Sport tires. My response? That's exactly what I purchased last time! Next, I was asked if I was getting an alignment. I reminded them that my alignment was under warranty and should be free. Only after going through all of these explanations did they finally bring up tariffs because the tires were made in Canada. Maybe tariffs played a role, but the point is that I had to keep pushing for a legitimate explanation while being treated as though my questions were ridiculous. At that point, I should have taken my car and my business elsewhere. However, Tire Kingdom had already taken a nonrefundable deposit from me. If I went somewhere else, I would have had to order the tires again, take additional time off work, and make another trip--I already drive 45 minutes to get to this location. Because of those circumstances, I gave in and paid the difference, even though I did not feel the price increase had been properly explained or justified. What bothered me most wasn't simply the price increase. It was the complete lack of transparency, professionalism, and respect. I felt like I was being jerked around and expected to pay the bill without questioning anything. I am a paying customer, and I have every right to ask questions about the work being done on my vehicle and the prices I'm being charged. I should not have to argue to be taken seriously, especially when it comes to my safety and my money. After years of doing business with Tire Kingdom and trusting them with two different vehicles, being treated like a dummy on two separate visits within six weeks is unacceptable. I expected better service, honest communication, and basic respect. Unfortunately, this experience has seriously damaged my trust in Tire Kingdom. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because customers deserve better than this

After driving my 2002 Nissan xTerra without air conditioning for two Florida summers with what…read moreappeared to be 'a recent major oil leak', I decided it was time for a new vehicle. Sadly, I discovered that Nissan no longer makes xTerras! After test driving similar vehicles where driver visibility did not even come close to what I was used to with my xTerra, I decided to get the oil leak fixed. I made an appointment with the nearest Nissan dealership; and, was told that the rear main seal was leaking - repair cost: $976.25. Without requesting, the Nissan dealership determined that the power steering pump was leaking - repair cost $573.48; and, the steering gear box was leaking - repair cost: $2282.19. Total repair cost: $3,831.92. This grand total did not include an air conditioning repair. As Lady Luck would have it, I found a coupon for a 'free' air conditioning check; and, that's how I met Jonathon, owner of Certified Automotive and Performance in Punta Gorda, Florida. Before deciding to have Jonathon replace the A/C compressor kit, I felt that the major oil leak needed to be addressed; after all, I could survive without air conditioning; but, an oil leak? I don't think so! Initially, Jonathon felt that Nissan's diagnosis of 'rear main seal leaking' as the cause of the severe oil leak was incorrect. Jonathon surmised that the cause of the oil leak was coming from the oil pan which he felt needed to be resealed. Before deciding which diagnosis was correct, I got an additional quote on the repair from another independent car repair place located in Punta Gorda on Tamiami Blvd who I had used in the past. This mechanic's diagnosis and price was comparable to Nissan's. I returned to Jonathon with this conflicting information. Again, Jonathon crawled under my xTerra and reassured me that it was indeed the oil pan that needed to be resealed. With this confirmation, I decided to have Jonathon, who use to work for Nissan, repair the oil leak AND replace the A/C compressor and A/C belt. That was 9 months ago and I'm ecstatic to share that there is no evidence of an oil leak on my garage floor and I'm soooooooooo enjoying an air conditioned vehicle!! Nissan's diagnosis that the rear main seal was leaking was inaccurate. Neither the steering gear box nor the power steering pump were leaking and 9 months later were again checked by Jonathon who determined 'no problem'. Nissan not only misdiagnosed the oil leak issue but was going to charge 3.25 times more than Jonathon who also fixed the air conditioning problem!!! On August 21, 2017, Jonathon changed my oil. Without being asked, Jonathon checked the power steering pump and the steering gear box and determined that neither were leaking as 'diagnosed 11 months earlier by Nissan! Additionally, Jonathon checked my transmission fluid and sighted the date of spark plugs replacement. Jonathon reported, "Everything looks good!" Can't help but say how Jonathon 'goes the extra mile' when he cleaned both headlights and removed the partially peeled adhesive film from the driver's and passenger's windows without me asking!! My xTerra is at 171,893 miles and doing great! Plan on witnessing 250,000 plus miles with an honest and factory certified technician named Jonathon at Certified Automotive and Performance 270 Allen St. Punta Gorda, FL 33950 941-999-7872. It' tremendous having such a knowledgeable technician who knows my xTerra's history and cares! In deep appreciation, Catherine S.

I took my car out of the shop because after a $700 unearned deposit and 47 DAYS, yes 47 days, in the shop the brakes were worse. The left front brake actually locks up now, STAY AWAY. They promised, in WRITING, to return part of my $700 unearned deposit but then refused because I said I was going to expose their incompetence.
