My 1500 review is dedicated to PopRock Photography! I do want to preface this review and say that…read moreTonya is a good friend of mine ever since we met on Yelp. I had been meaning to take advantage of her talents behind the lens for the longest time, so my nephew's first birthday party was the perfect excuse to get some family photos in the books. Tonya is a total professional and will deal with a multitude of personalities, from crying one-year-old princes to (cough, cough) some people with more life experience and are set in their ways. Her photos are gorgeous and they really capture the moment. Tonya takes her experience as a seasoned traveler and really applies it to her work (and life in general). There's an ease of how she really can capture a person's spirit in a moment in time. I've also gotten to see Tonya's work with Weddings where I was the best man in a wedding in Charleston. Weddings, in general, are so stressful, but, more than one time during the weekend in Charleston Tonya really "saved" us. From being flexible in location shooting (June in Charleston.... everyone was sweating), to simple logistics of time and schedule. The pictures turned out amazing and the newly weds were super happy with all the photos. There was also a freak thundershower during the reception, but Tonya just rolled with the punches. Tonya has a really good eye for setting up her subjects for success. No matter what they are (food, people, animals, etc) she captures them all in the best way imaginable.

Whether it was Mal helping my wife while she was getting ready, or Alex helping close the tent walls during the reception and so much more. And none of that was their responsibility, but it certainly made a huge difference! We had so many people tell us just how awesome they were! When it comes to photography, Alex and Mal are hands down the best of the best. During engagement photos, they made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and had the most creative ideas for what would make the best photos. The same goes for our wedding photos and video. All three of them were very punctual and organized on our wedding day. At times, I felt they were doing more to keep everything on schedule than our wedding planner. Just like the engagement photos, the wedding photos blew us away with how amazing they turned out. Alex and Mal will always be our go to photographers for any future family events or needs! If you are able to splurge a little, definitely have Alex partner with Jorge for the videography. You will not be disappointed, and every dollar will be worth it! The video was amazing and we watched it over and over again the first week of getting it. Thank you all so much for an amazing experience.
