Zook Photo - Photo by Zook Studios! Awesome right?! - Session Photography Near Me - Cornelius, North Carolina

Greg and Stacy, the creative and very talented owners of Zook Photo, have such an incredible gift for capturing the unique personality of pets! I was looking to have professional photos of my sweet pup, and from the moment we arrived at their studio, I was so impressed at how welcoming they made my fur-baby feel. Their conveniently located Cornelius place is both an elegant gallery and studio with beautiful props and backgrounds that will ensure your photo session will result in amazing photos. Everyone knows pets can be unpredictable, shy and/or difficult when trying to get pictures of them, but Greg and Stacy literally bent over backwards to get fun images using their photography skills and experience with animals. We had so much fun during the photo session, and I did not feel rushed at all. You can tell they truly love animals and want to do all they can to get gorgeous and expressive images of your beloved pet. I was pleasantly surprised that within a few days after the photo session, they invited me back to their studio to select my favorites to order with them. They have many options for you to decide how you would like your selected portrait(s) displayed. When I received my pet's image on the mounted wall art, it was absolutely beautiful! The quality and detail are stunning, and I love seeing it hung up in my home! (I ordered their Italian glossy acyrlic wall art product). I can't recommend Zook Photo enough for anyone seeking timeless, heartwarming portraits of their furry companions! Of course, they also do not just do pet photo sessions- but have several other gorgeous pieces of their photographs displayed in their gallery, too-  from couples, to families, to capturing bucket list moments and more. Their talent, teamwork, and product quality will absolutely impress you, and you'll be so glad you used them to create portraits you'll cherish forever! read more

My husband and I recently found Greg Zook through Pine Rose Cabins and he photographed our wedding. Simply put Greg is AMAZING! He has such a unique eye for pictures that fits right in with our style. He is extremely easy to work with and will make you feel extremely comfortable on your special day. The thing I loved most was he was right there laughing with my crazy wedding party and loved it when any of us had suggestions, especially when I, the bride, wanted to climb on a tree in mg dress :). Greg makes you feel like family and needless to say, we have made a new friend. There is a reason Zook has a five star rating. He is the best in the business. The pictures are absolutely gorgeous! I promise that you will not be disappointed by using Greg Zook for any event!! We love him and can't wait to find an excuse to use him again. Thank you Greg for everything! You're awesome! I first met Greg in August of 2012 when he posed as just another person in Big Bear but little did I know he worked very closely with my husband to plan the most amazing proposal. He captured one of the most amazing moments of my life and got the picture most girls dream about, the look on my face as I stared at the love of my life down on one knee asking for my hand in marriage. After the proposal we did an hour long shoot with Greg making me feel so comfortable and the pictures showed how happy my husband and I were. A few months later we contacted Greg and booked him to be our photographer for our wedding. We live in Southern California and our wedding was in Camarillo, CA. Greg and his wife Stacy made a trip out to Camarillo to see our venue to make sure he was prepared ahead of time for the shots we wanted on the big day. It was such an important thing to me that he did that so I was able to point out exactly what we wanted. I felt so confident in Greg and Stacy knowing that even though they are from out of town, they would be able to come and capture the day the way I imagined. Our engagement photos were part of our package. We knew we wanted our photos to be in the fall and back in Big Bear so we made the trip up the mountain in October. Stacy also does makeup and she did my make up for the shoot. I wanted a natural look and she did a beautiful job. She arranged for a hair stylist to be there as well for me. They both made me feel beautiful and I was very happy! The session turned out amazing. We went to several locations and got great shots. We then asked Greg and Stacy if they would mind going to my family's cabin in Fawnskin to get some photos and they were so supportive of the idea and drove up there for us. We got some of my favorite pictures at the cabin, they were beautiful and sentimental. Throughout this whole time leading up to the wedding Greg was in constant contact with my husband and made us both feel that the photography was the last thing we needed to stress about, as leading up to the wedding was becoming more and more stressful with each passing day! Come to the wedding day and Greg and Stacy did the most amazing job I ever could have asked for. They go above and beyond making sure that each photo is what you wanted. One of the many things that Greg did was stop and listen to what I asked for. If I wanted to take photos with my nephews and sisters he was calling for the people and made it happen. He was extremely respectful that we waited until the ceremony to see each other for the first time and worked so hard to make sure he got all our family, bridal party pictures, and pictures of the two us done within the cocktail hour. We have seen some of the photos and they are breathtaking. He captured the most amazing day of our lives and has become a true friend in the process. Greg and Stacy are amazing and I cant wait for them to shoot many more milestones in our lives. Thank you Greg and Stacy! Erin and Chris read more

Greg and Stacy are a real personable couple and did an amazing job with our wedding photos. What we asked for, we received. Our wedding was captured beautifully! Wonderful shots of my husband and I along with all the wedding party, family and friends. Greg followed through with our picture requests and stayed on task. Greg and Stacy from Zook Photography did the photography for our wedding on 9/23/17 at San Moritz lodge and the job they did was nothing short of phenomenal. My husband Clint and I got married this September at Pine Rose Cabins in Lake Arrowhead and we had the utmost pleasure of having Greg and Stacy Zook shoot our wedding. My husband and I got married in Lake Arrowhead on 8.29.14 and could not be happier that we chose Greg, with the help of his amazing wife Stacy, as our photographer! Not only is his/their work amazing but you could not work with more amazing, sweeter, genuine people. Oh and by the way people, they have won awards on Wedding Wire too!! I had a lot of concerns as I am not the most photogenic person. I get very very camera shy and it shows in a lot of pictures I take (which is why I don't take many lol!). I emailed Greg some of my favorite photos of his that I stole off his Facebook page so he could feel out our style. When we finally met in person he was beyond well prepared and knew exactly what I was looking for. He took the words right out of my mouth when describing the vibe he got from us. When Greg and his wife showed up on our wedding day, they were right on time and came with the biggest smiles on their faces. He made me feel like every bride should on their special day, like a queen. He was so focused and excited about his work and it only helped me feel more at ease because I was really nervous to get photographed! I told Greg about one of my biggest photographing issues, and insecurities, my double chin :( and although he denied I had one (sweet guy) he gave me a quick lesson on how to pose to hide that part of my body. And as a result, almost no double chins! Of course I have some in my candid photos and that is ok and there was nothing he could do about those lol. But he never made me feel embarrassed or self conscious. He only wanted me to get the results I wanted and that is another reason we are so damn happy we chose him. The professionalism, yet genuineness, of this guy makes all the difference. We just had our meeting with Greg and his wife last night to view all of our pictures. I cannot stress enough how BEYOND satisfied we are with the results. There was one picture where my husband and I were posing and my sister's dog photo bombed the picture with her butt and when I told Greg how bummed I was about it, he edited her out and emailed me the new and improved photo BEFORE I GOT HOME! You can tell this guy loves what he does. I will be uploading some more of my favorite photos from Greg soon. My computer is being fixed tomorrow so I will have to wait a few days to get them off the flash drive Greg gave us! Thank you so much Greg and Stacy! I will highly recommend you two to anyone in need of a great photographer! We know who we will be hiring when in need of a maternity shoot...! read more

Greg and Stacy did my wedding up in Big Bear last weekend. The two of them are such a great team and worked so well with the bridal party, guests, and videographers. They kept us laughing and smiling during all the pre wedding pictures, traveled all over Big Bear to get great shots, and did not leave until they knew my husband and I were happy. To top it off we got a first look of some of the photos the next day! I have gotten sooo many compliments on the few pictures I posted on FB. They truly are incredible. Greg turned a little rain into an amazing photo shoot! I would recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding photographer, they were worth every penny. We utilized Zook Photography for our wedding day on 10 - 22 - 2017. Arrowhead Pine Rose Cabins venue has Zook Photography on their preferred vendors list. Greg and Stacey are amazing. We had a family session in big bear and they were really a dream to work with. Greg was able to capture some incredible shots of our family. Stacey was so sweet. She even took care of our little one so Greg could capture a few shots of just me and my husband. Taking pictures of a little one can be stressful but Greg and Stacey were very accommodating and really fun to work with. AND they returned our gallery TWO days after our shooting! Like WOW!!! Hiring Zook Photography was the best decision I made on my wedding day (aside from marrying my husband). If I had to relive my wedding day, there a lot of things I would do differently, but hiring Greg Zook is something I would do again in a heartbeat. When doing my research I was looking for beautiful and artistic photos, Greg Zook definitely fit this criteria. There are a lot of things that I didn't realize were important and thankfully I found them all in Greg. He made us feel so comfortable, he made our family feel important (and beautiful), he hid into the background at the right moments but he didn't miss a single shot! He was LOVED by all our vendors, they said they had never worked with a better photographer. We purchased a few framed photos from Greg and they are so artistic and original we get tons of compliments from visitors, they are more than just pictures of us, they really bring me back to that amazing day every time I see them. read more

Greg and Stacy are amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We knew when we looked at Zook's website they would be the photographer for us. Phenomenal pictures. We entertained the other sites but we kept saying, "nope, Zook!" after each gander. We were so glad we made this decision. My husband and Greg have the same personality which made our working together a breeze. We had some eclectic taste for our video and photos and that came through working with a photographer who "got us." We had 2 meetings before our wedding. One at Pine Rose to go over the contract and once again when we decided we wanted to add the video and a bigger photo book. We met for a casual lunch and had a blast and that is when we really knew we made the right decision. Another follow up call before the wedding and we were on the same page. The day of the wedding was as planned and so far our "first looks" pictures are beautiful. Can't wait to meet up again to hang out and see the rest of the pictures. I honestly think we made some friends in this process because we mesh so well when together. Looking forward to future hang outs and picture sessions. read more

Greg Zook did an amazing job with my recent proposal. He worked with me in the weeks leading up to the engagement and helped me pick the perfect spot in Big Bear, where I was going to propose to my girlfriend. We planned exactly how it was going to happen and Greg made sure that the photos were going to be candid. Also, his communication throughout the whole process was great. We talked on the phone several times and emailed quite a lot. He was really interested in making this the best experience for my Fiance and I. Now to the pictures. The pictures came out amazing. Both my family and my fiances family were really amazed with how the photos came out. Greg even gave us a handful of preview photos the same day of the engagement, so we could show our friends, family, and post on social media. Thanks Greg for doing such an awesome job. We really enjoyed the experience and the photos will be great to look back on in the years to come. Thanks again. read more

Choose Zook Photography. You won't regret it. My wife and I had our wedding at Pine Rose Cabins in Lake Arrowhead, with Greg & Stacy Zook. We struggled a lot to choose our photographer - after all, your wedding is an extremely rare and special event. We initially choose Zook because we could tell from the pictures we saw online that Greg has a fantastic eye for creating amazing imagery, and we were not disappointed. We could not have anticipated how amazing the pictures really turned out. Greg & Stacy managed to deliver a great style that included images both artistic and traditional, many of which we can hardly believe have us in them -- they look like something you'd see in a movie or an art gallery. One of them was so good, we couldn't help but order a large framed print of it the moment we saw it, so we could hang it over the fireplace as the central picture in our home. As if Greg & Stacy's professional and beautiful photography wasn't enough, they are great people and were tons of fun to work with. I always expected that the time spent with the photographer, walking around the woods and posing, would be a frustrating part of my wedding. But Greg & Stacy did more than take great pictures, they made the time we spent with them fun and really helped make our memories of our wedding wonderful. In the weeks and months since our wedding, they've worked around our hectic schedules to get the shots finalized and to get our incredible wedding book done. I am extremely grateful my wife and I chose Zook Photography. You should choose Zook, too. You won't regret it! read more

I don't even know where to begin. Greg and Stacy are an amazing team!! From our engagement pictures to our wedding. They were always there for any questions or concerns I had. I was able to share with Greg the different looks I wanted in my photos and he did a great job a reenacting the images in our own way. There were so many amazing engagement and wedding photos, I am having the hardest time just narrowing it them down enough to print and hang in my house. We also did a video package through Greg that was so amazing to watch. My wedding day went by so fast that I really don't remember much of what happened. Not only have the amazing photos brought back lots of memories but watching the video gives me butterflies again!! I posted a couple of Zook's pictures on my facebook page and had people begging for more before I could even post more. Every time I show off my photos, people are obsessed. Greg and Stacy are so amazing and so are the photo's that they produce!!! I can not wait to work with them again on our whatever our next big adventure may bring!!! read more

Greg and Stacy Zook are true professionals, but more importantly, they are great people to work with! Our family photo shoot was in Big Bear CA and we are from Vegas so we had to have much long-distance pre-shoot communication, and Greg accommodated me beautifully with that. He directed us creatively and patiently, using his skills to capture the spirit of our family. His work will grace the walls of our home for years to come. read more

Written from my mother's perspective, posted by me, the bride: After receiving my daughter's wedding pictures this past fall, we realized that during the pressures and fast pace of the day, we missed some photographs that I wanted to have in my daughter's wedding album. There weren't too many pictures of me, the MOB, and my daughter together as we prepared for the big day. Upon a recommendation from my daughter's wedding dress designer, I contacted Greg Zook to see if he was available for a photo shoot to capture the details of my daughter's dress (especially the bustle) and also to capture some other fun photos of her and me together. As I explained the circumstances to Greg, he immediately caught on as to what my intentions were of another photo shoot. Greg and his lovely wife, Stacy, were available and we met them at the OMNI hotel in Carlsbad, California for the photo shoot. Greg was able to be come up with some unique ideas and take some fabulous shots of my daughter and her dress. He is unbelievably creative and is able to create stunning photos through the use of lighting, the natural beauty of the surroundings, and his experience. Together these elements led to a wonderful experience with outstanding pictures. Greg was receptive to my wishes and, in turn, he was able to get all shots we wanted and then some. His promptness in returning my calls, making the arrangements, and his attention to detail made the experience so much more fun and rewarding. He was true to his word and very understanding in what we were trying to accomplish. I highly recommend Greg and his wife for any type of photo shoot. He has a keen eye as to what can make an ordinary picture into an exquisite one for any wedding album. I was very pleased with our final pictures from our after-wedding photo shoot and now have pictures of my daughter and myself in some touching shots; Greg was instrumental in achieving these wonderful memories. Zook Photography was a suggestion by Pine Rose. My wife to be and I didn't know what to expect. As we all know, pictures of a wedding need to be perfect. We excepted the advice and went by chance. The wedding book he put together was perfect. Greg told us we can change any photos he suggested. Both my wife and I agreed that his suggestions were perfect. Absolutely no changes were needed. At the end I'm pleased to say Greg and his lovely wife have become our friend. Thank you Zook Photography for making our wedding the best! Cheers! read more

Greg and Stacy were more than we could've hoped for, for our wedding. We had a packaged deal through our venue with another photographer, but were not happy their photos. My husband and I both work in post production for commercials and film, so we are very savvy when it comes to imagery. We had requested hi res photos and specific file formats and were denied. Then, we were referred to Greg. We had a budget in mind with specific moments that were important to us to capture. Greg and Stacy nailed it and went above and beyond our expectations. He worked hard to make sure our lighting was nicely accounted for, worked with us to get exactly what we wanted, and captured so many photos of our day today - truly amazing! We are so lucky to have found them! As an additional bonus, Greg and Stacy were very detailed in organizing and giving us the images we had talked about at the beginning. They really listened to us and it felt like a true collaboration of artists :) He had great suggestions on locations to shoot and did a great job with some of the processing as well. We really felt well cared for. Don't miss out on them! read more
