We were hoping for a same day pickup since we had an excursion booked the next day and weren't really sure when we'd get back. But naturally, this place does high volumes of laundry. The nice lady who works here said confidently that our laundry would not be ready same day but the following evening, Sunday, for sure. So she took my name and number and gave us a ticket.
You better believe we came straight from the excursion after 6 pm on Sunday night. We were playing it fast and loose because we were leaving on Monday and had no idea if they were even open this late. They were! By some miracle, I took a photo of my ticket because I definitely did not have my ticket. This was helpful for them, because they, like any good business, rely on their system. Giving them your name to find your stuff is a last resort. They number the clothes by the number on the ticket making it easy for them and you to find it.
I got my clothes, paid less than $5 USD for all of it, and hopped back into the taxi within 5 minutes.
Here we are a week later. The clothes have been packed in my suitcase, crossed international borders and are now (admittedly) still in the laundry bag (they folded it so nice!). Every time I select an item from this bag I am intoxicated by the incredible smell of my professionally laundered clothes. I'm transported back to Playa instead of in line at AutoZone. This lavandería is extending my vacation one garment at a time!
And yes we gave them darks, mediums, and whites. I asked about how they wash these. They separate all three types. Nothing came back discolored or shrunken. I'm in love. Planning my next trip back just for this service.
