The lady behind the counter was very nice. I paid in dollars for the coins needed for the machines. Within an hour, my clothes were washed, dried and folded. I walked back to the resort. Fantastic washing machines and dryers. She did have detergent to buy if needed. I had my own. Will be going back before leaving.

We stopped in late in Saturday morning and were relieved as much as we were excited when we arrived…read morebecause the name listed here is different from what's listed on the actual business. Sorry, I don't have a photo, but Yelp's directions here are correct. We were hoping for a same day pickup since we had an excursion booked the next day and weren't really sure when we'd get back. But naturally, this place does high volumes of laundry. The nice lady who works here said confidently that our laundry would not be ready same day but the following evening, Sunday, for sure. So she took my name and number and gave us a ticket. You better believe we came straight from the excursion after 6 pm on Sunday night. We were playing it fast and loose because we were leaving on Monday and had no idea if they were even open this late. They were! By some miracle, I took a photo of my ticket because I definitely did not have my ticket. This was helpful for them, because they, like any good business, rely on their system. Giving them your name to find your stuff is a last resort. They number the clothes by the number on the ticket making it easy for them and you to find it. I got my clothes, paid less than $5 USD for all of it, and hopped back into the taxi within 5 minutes. Here we are a week later. The clothes have been packed in my suitcase, crossed international borders and are now (admittedly) still in the laundry bag (they folded it so nice!). Every time I select an item from this bag I am intoxicated by the incredible smell of my professionally laundered clothes. I'm transported back to Playa instead of in line at AutoZone. This lavandería is extending my vacation one garment at a time! And yes we gave them darks, mediums, and whites. I asked about how they wash these. They separate all three types. Nothing came back discolored or shrunken. I'm in love. Planning my next trip back just for this service.

We were referred to Marco Alvarez from a community of expats living in Playa del Carmen, Mexico…read morethrough Playa.info. We were in desperate need to have our white leather sofa and oversized armchair reupholstered. The two pieces were cracked, peeling and unsightly to look at. We contacted Marco regarding his services through WhatsApp and email, and he immediately responded. We agreed on a date and time for him to consult with us regarding our upholstery needs. Marco and his beautiful wife Sonya, showed up at the appointed time and quickly assessed our situation. He and his wife are very personable and speak perfect English, for those of us that don't speak Spanish. We discussed fabrics, textures, and selected our favorite from his huge sample selection of swatches. We talked about pricing for labor, materials and pick/delivery. He and his wife took the two pieces of furniture that day, and explained they would have them back within one week. Marco called us this morning (7 days later), and told us he was finished with our furniture and asked if we would be available for delivery. We agreed on a delivery time, and waited anxiously to see the results of his work. When he arrived, our furniture was meticulously wrapped in plastic to keep it clean and dry. In a word, BEAUTIFUL. We were so impressed with his skills. Our furniture looked like we had just purchased it from a store showcase. AND, it matched the rest of our leather furniture perfectly. His cost was very reasonable and certainly beats the price of purchasing new furniture. He is very professional and provides exemplary customer service. We highly recommended him and will be using his services again. A million thanks, Beverly and Kevin Puerto Aventuras, Mexico
