Checking the area, we found this hotel right next to the train station. The proximity to the major sights was too good to pass and the price for the room was really reasonable. The path to the hotel from the train station is very easy. Take a right out of the station and the hotel is located right on the next bloc. Escalators will take you to the lobby upstairs. Walk through the lobby door.... and here you are! The staff was super friendly and even though we arrived very early.... around 11 am.... they got us a room. I understand that European stand is an afternoon check in. But most hotel have been very accommodating. The bar looked very inviting and the path to the room easy. Remember European standard for sizes. If you are used to travel with large American size bags, the elevators and rooms are fairly small. So, you will have an issue.... trust me! We got to the room and it s a simple format with no amenities. There s a shower gel for the shower and sink soap. There are no tissue box or coffee/ tea station. This hotel has a small pool on the first floor and no gym. I understand they offer a nice breakfast buffet but we would rather find a nice bakery on the way to the sights.

This is a must restaurant to visit by virtue of the beautiful neighborhood with cobblestones narrowed streets that open onto this empty plaza that turns into outdoor festive rows of old fashion checkered table cloth covered tables and the hand written menu on a chalk board. The service is absolutely merveilleux with the wine and pickled cornichons and olives is another nice touch. The salmon with carrots, green beans and the beef stew were succulent and delicious. For dessert, the classic French crème brûlée topped it all. And by this time, the sun has set, the overhanging street lighting covers the whole plaza and we are in a small French neighborhood dining on the street!! The atmosphere is just parfait!

It had all the little cutesy things you see scrolling through pinterest and tumblr and then some. I kept going back and seeing little things I didn't see before. I ended up getting cards, cute pencils, wrapping paper, luggage tags, sunglasses - all for under 15 euros. If you are ever in Nice, you have to check this place out!
