I arrived early before the crowd got bad. My first impression was very positive, as it looked very modern with nice washers and dryers and had very nice tables and chairs. The prices were higher than what I'm used to paying in my area. I pay 2.25 here and theirs were 3.00. I thought, well that's not bad since they're new washers, but I didn't realize that 3.00 was for cold water! When I pushed "hot wash" it jumped to 3.50! So that's quite a bit more than I pay here. Also, the dryers in the laundromats up here give me 7 minutes for 25 cents. Down there I had to pay 50 cents for the same amount of time. For management's information, I used 3 washers - #3, 4, and 5. I had whites in #3 and 4 and 5 were colors. I put my liquid detergent in the correct slots that were indicated in all 3 washers. I noticed that only #4 had suds! 3 and 5 were just sloshing clear water around! It's a mystery what happened to the detergent I put in 2 of the washers, but I knew I had wasted my money because all they were doing was getting the clothes WET! When I removed my whites, it was very obvious that they weren't clean and I had even added bleach! So I wasted a lot of money ($15) wetting and drying dirty laundry that didn't come clean! I'll have to rewash everything at a different laundromat in my area and I won't go back there!

And aside from it spitting a few coins on the floor, it also only gave me $17.25. Add that and how expensive these machines are , it's just a total rip off. And everyone was very right about this place having roaches !!! And I absolutely hate these front loaders, they never fill up with enough water and doesn't wash the clothes thoroughly.

Once the machine starts there is no stop button if the laundry detergent package got stuck in the door(which it did on five of the washing machines). Also when I got change for a 20 Quarters, yeah each time I got about four dollars less that my 20 I put in. What a disaster. I will never be back. Oh and one more thing some dryers ran cold no matter if you put them in white high heats or not. So I had to stand by them and feel which one got hot and move them if they weren't. Such a terrible experience. Most ghetto experience ever.

I hadn't been to a laundry mat in decades, but our dryer went out. I wanted to find a clean, safe place to dry clothes and possibly do laundry in the future if need be. A little over a month ago, I visited A1 Coin Laundry with several loads of clean, damp clothes and a bunch of dollar bills. This was a futuristic world of washers and dryers! Even the coin machine was Hi-Tech. I jokingly told another lady there, "I act like I've never been out of the house!" I had no clue how to use the dryers, put my clothes in the top machine, yet turned on the bottom. ‍ It was a mess. lol Aside from my own incompetence, the laundry mat itself was awesome. It was so clean. It was set up comfortably for patrons. I like the fact that there's someone monitoring cameras if there's not an attendant there. Knowing that makes me feel much safer, especially if I happen to be alone inside. It prevents vandals and loiterers. It's probably posted on the door or wall advising patrons they're subject to recording or surveillance while inside the business. Anyway, I enjoyed my experience doing my clothes at the laundry mat and plan to go back in the future as well as tell others about it. They will try to have you arrested for trespassing even though you are a paying customer if you use their restroom too long. They are rude and don't know how to apologize for embarrassing a customer. Knoxville has many laundromats and this one is ran by creeps who monitor your bathroom usage. Pick somewhere better than this place. Update: The owners of the establishment have decided to harass me over text message and are currently threatening me further. Please leave me alone, and stop harassing me. This establishment played an embarassing warning to the entire establishment because I was in the restroom for approximately 5-6 minutes that threatened me with police action because I was in the restroom for an extended period of time. I was in the establishment for an hour and a half approximately, and in that time I mainly worked on my laptop doing spreadsheets and emails. My clothes were still drying and I needed to use the facilities. I did call to complain about the warning, and managment escalated instead of descalating. Knoxville Police were called and did show up while I was loading my laundry in my car and patted me down in front of the establishment to where all they found were three dollars in quarters, a $20 bill, my wireless headphones and car keys. The police suggested I leave or be cited for trespass. I was finished, had no reason to continue to be there and left the premises and do not plan to return to this establishment ever. I stand by my review, I have used this place multiple times recently, and have used this place as far back as 2014 or so. A formal apology from the establishment and a return of the approximately $7 I spent to do my laundry would go a long way. Also, they watch remotely, can play any alarm at will and have a PA system in house. See the response to Jeff Van Natta on Google for further reference. " I was the one watching the cameras remotely that night. I played the closing announcement an additional two times for you specifically. 6 minutes before closing I got on the PA system, again remotely, and asked you not to put money in the dryer. You still did it. We did not receive a refund request from you." Using the owner's own words they absolutely were watching me. They saw I was a paying customer and that I had been there for over an hour and a half and still did that intentionally after I went to the restroom. Absolutely unacceptable behavior from these people.
