Overall, I'm glad I decided to sign up for space here. I'm using one of the first-come first served open desks. I'm not sure if this is a new location, but it seems like most space (office and open desks) aren't in use much. First pros: - It's the perfect setup as an office, nice environment, spacious desks, good noise-level (everyone's quiet and I think they're playing white noise) - Nice, clean kitchen with free beverages--coffee/tea/hot chocolate, fresh/not tap water, sodas--and all the (not plastic/paper) utensils, plates, glasses you'd ever want. There are also fridges, microwaves, toaster oven, dishwasher. This is in a small open cafe-style eating area. - Printer, internet work no problem - The receptionist is super nice and was really helpful when I needed to figure out a few things - It's in a nice area with lots of restaurants and free parking across the street Cons: - This might be a franchise business? I read about it online, but when I came to this location for a tour, the prices were higher than on the generic website - COVID: no one is masking, the signs for precautions are pretty useless--e.g., stand 6 feet apart. The desk next to you is kept empty, but the one diagonal is open, so it doesn't seem like it would help you avoid infection. The overall facility seems like it's at 25% (?) capacity, so I'm less worried--but still masking personally. I'd start getting worried if it were 50% or more. read more

Nice space, but it's not coworking at all. This is just rental office space, no coworking actually goes on. If you want to rent an office, maybe come here, but it's just another Regus or whatever. They suggested I visit their Rockville space which they said was actual coworking - but it doesn't look like they care about that one at all. And as I mentioned in the other review - I was there to watch 10 of their interns posting fake reviews on Yelp and other sites. So keep that in mind as you read anything positive - it was probably fake-posted by them or their interns. I am very annoyed at them wasting three days of my time looking at spaces that they don't know how to manage. I am headed to Bethesda for a better space. read more

I telework most Fridays, but I had to participate in an hour long conference call on a Friday afternoon. Since there was construction outside my apartment building, and I didn't want to use up my cell phone minutes, I needed a quiet place to listen to this call. I was fortunate enough to run across a coupon for Launch Workplaces offering either a coworker desk for a full day, conference room for two hours, or a private office with a view of the Rio Washingtonian complex, the pond, and I-270 for half a day. I chose the office, it offers WiFi and they will provide you with a username and password. The office desk has a landline phone, USB cord, hand sanitizer and tissues, but of course you bring your own laptop. If you only want to listen to a teleconference like I did, they offer small private rooms with just a chair, phone, and a white noise machine to tune out any distractions. There is a kitchen area with Keurig and Tassimo coffee machines, a Pepsi soda machine, and refrigerators where you can store food. There are plenty of restaurants around the Rio, so you can order takeout and bring it back. There is also a parking garage nearby which is helpful during extreme temperatures or inclement weather. If you have a very small business with less than 10 people, and don't want to invest in expensive office rent, this could be ideal. There are mailboxes available, and there is staff on hand that can do copying, printing, scanning, faxing, and notarizing for a small fee. If you are a teleworker like I am, this is also ideal. Definitely stop by check it out, there are staffers on hand to provide a tour, you'll want to come back again and again. read more

I have worked out of this space for about 18 months now and really enjoy it. The staff is very friendly and goes out of their way. Great location at the Rio. For the reviewer who said it's not "co-working space", I don't really know what that means. You rent space here to do your job. Launch does offer plenty of get togethers and activities that you can take part in to meet other folks who work out of this location. All in all, very happy with Launch. read more

Excellent place to work! We worked here (in both a dedicated office and in the co-working area) for a couple months in 2015 then again for 7 months in 2017-2018. The environment is everything you want in a co-working space - quiet, fast internet, comfortable chairs, big desks, reliable printer, clean kitchen/fridge, coffee, filtered water, clean bathrooms, private phone rooms, lots of light, friendly staff, and interesting people. The location is ideal with lots of restaurants for lunch, a big lake to walk around, and plenty of free parking. Launch always has events on their calendar so you can meet other people in the office and it's not unusual for their to be free food in the kitchen for others to enjoy :) We're grateful we found Launch workplaces and are thankful they had space for us to work so we could be productive while in transition in Gaithersburg, MD. I am currently working in their Tyson's location and it is an ideal location to get things done. It is a short walk to the Spring Hill metro station, Walmart, and multiple restaurants. The Launch staff is very friendly and often host cool events which has been a nice way for me to network with other members. read more

Outstanding views from second floor of this modern coworking space overlooking Rio/Washingtonian lake. Nice, smart collaborative peeps; great free gourmet coffee and sodas, free parking and super accessible. Can easily find quiet areas in corners/nooks when needed. With its location, this place is the nicest hybrid space (has private window offices, too) in the DC area. Makes it easy to conveniently escape my home office routine. read more
