It's a locally owned store that has been around for a minute. The ladies working in the store were friendly and helpful. The store was beautifully decorated for the holidays, and they had several different kinds of cardinals. There were nativity scenes, decorated trees, decorative pillows with cardinals, just about anything you could want to decorate your home for the holidays, and to just decorate your home period. Something Special also has women's clothing. You can also get a lot of ideas on how to decorate your home, just from the displays they have. Right now they have a 30% off sale on Christmas items, I can't say for certain that it doesn't include things that aren't Christmas. She looked at me with a glare and said nothing. Ok fine, we don't need to be besties. Then she hears the cashier next to her giving the sales pitch for their credit card, so she starts giving it to me too because the elderly lady manager is behind her I guess so she needed to be heard doing the same. She followed with some sort of "save money today" and I laughed a little and said "no thank you" again because how much audacity do you have to have to push this to me when you just refused to even smile or say hello to me? So I kept my smile and decided to wait and see. Maybe she would end things well by saying "thank you when I was done". Nope. She GLARED as she handed me the bag. So I decided to say something because I'm tired of these young people in retail thinking they don't have to polite to customers. So I said very politely, "you know, you could say hello and thank you at least. You do work in customer service. If you can't do that then maybe you shouldn't work in retail." The elderly lady manager manager was standing behind her and surely heard what I said and I wanted her to hear me. The girl literally snarled her lip at me as I walked away. Idk why people like this even try retail. Go work stocking shelves at Walmart or the grocery store if you don't want to be polite to people. I will avoid stores who hire people like this and I think most people do. So I hope people read this and go elsewhere or many management will actually correct this situation but I don't have much hope
