Maine lobster roll and Caesar salad
Joelle L.

Ok, I just had the lobster and I'm sad it's over. I grew up in New England for 30 years and would venture to say this is one of the best lobster rolls I've ever had. It's dressed with lemon and chipotle aioli. I was hesitant about the chipotle component but it was delicious. The roll was squishy and grilled to perfection. I got a side Caesar instead of fries, also delicious. In the spirit of full disclosure i went yesterday as well. My slight hangover thought the burger would be a good option. It's was. I got the classic with fries. I will be here for another two days and need to make some hard culinary choices at Latitudes. They have a salmon po boy that I may need to try. But I know there will be another lobster roll before I roll out. This gem of a food truck is tucked away in Carlin Bay Marina. Lots of picnic tables, beautiful view and many adult beverages to choose from. Lastly, the staff is BEYOND friendly! They dig my dogs too so you know they are good people! *the hours I found on different sites say they are closed on Sundays. They are not, score!

Went here because of the reviews online that this was the best food truck in northern Idaho. We saw the pricing and figured we'd splurge because, certainly, the flavor and quality would make up for the pricing. However... We got the chicken ceaser salad (3/5 stars for flavor/ it tasted more like ranch dressing though) chicken tenders (3/5 stars because this was flat, pressed chicken. Tasted similar to McDonald's nuggets. My starving teen only ate half of them and gave the rest away, then asked if we had anything to eat in the car). Kids hamburger (3/5 stars as, again, the starving teen only ate half of it and then was asking for everyone else's food.) We got the $20 spicy burger w fries. I'd give that 5/5 stars it was pretty darn good. The sauce was incredibly unique and delicious. Would I pay $20 for it again? Probably not. Someone got the wrap and they said it was "meh". I think the biggest disappointment was the shrimp. It was $17, did not come with fries or any other thing on the side... we figured it would be like a really fancy sushi roll or some thing. Instead, it was seven pieces of small shrimp- and I'm talking small, like, they didn't even use prawns.... I could've fit all of them in the palm of my hand. If we hadn't just spent $17 on them, we would've all been laughing hysterically. As it was, we were all just hoping that somehow the flavor would offset the shock of it all. Well, they were really really tasty! This is the kind of appetizer I would have expected to order in a fancy restaurant in Paris, France and I would've been delighted at it. But now we all have to go to another fast food restaurant to get more food. I would've given this place two stars, but I'm giving the third star for atmosphere since eating in a pier was amazing and the covered tables were perfect for the hot sun. One day we will all look back and laugh at this... but for now we are just still really hungry and wish we had gone somewhere else. The only way this was the best food truck in northern idaho would be if it were the only food truck in northern idaho.

Latitudes Restaurant consistently exceeds expectations! The food is professionally prepared to the highest standards and served with a generous side of hospitality. Be sure to make your reservation for the Thursday night Prime Rib nights. The best part of summer, in my opinion.

I always ordered the lobster roll and I'm so glad I tried something new this time.

The Order: General (burger) + Loaded Brisket Fries…read more First off... Online ordering... aka ScrollFest 2026... worked great, even if it felt like filling out a mortgage application. A heroic amount of options. I'm sure some folks love that level of control, but by the end I half-expected a personality test. On a phone? Absolutely unhinged. Desktop was survivable... barely. Pickup: Online said 30 minutes (6:23pm). Reality said "Nah, we're done already" at 6:09pm. Credit where it's due... glad I went down early so the food didn't turn into sad leftovers before I even met it. Presentation: Burger and fries looked good. No shame there. Instagram wouldn't have laughed at me. The General (Burger): Unfortunately... dry. Not send-it-back dry, but definitely "thank God for pickles" dry. The pickles did some real heavy lifting, adding the only noticeable zip. BBQ sauce and ranch were apparently present in spirit only... I saw a drip, but my taste buds never got the memo. Result: A decent burger. Not bad. Not memorable. Certainly not something I'd text a friend about like "BRO YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS." Loaded Brisket Fries: Flavor? Good. Sauce? Tasty. Execution? Eh. For $12, the portion felt a little "is this the appetizer?" The fries could've been warmer and better mixed... instead it was more like scavenger hunting for bites that had everything together. The deep-fried cheese curds were legit but borderline fork-vs-curd death match. That plastic fork never stood a chance. Outsides were pretty crusty... almost too committed to the crunch. Overall Verdict: Good food. Nothing offensive. Nothing that screams "come back often." If I'm nearby and hungry... sure. If I'm choosing a place intentionally... probably not. Final Score: 3.5 stars... rounding up to 4 because I believe in grace. Solid effort. Some wins. Some misses. No fireworks. Would eat again... but only if someone else picked the place and I didn't have to scroll for 10 minutes first Ambiance: N/A. Consumed at home where the lighting was good and the floor was not sticky.

First time eating here while visiting the state. Food was hot, fresh and juicy and very…read moresatisfying. Didn't realize till we arrived it was a food truck but it was a gorgeous day and plenty of seating to enjoy.
