everyone was wonderful talking me through each step of the process. Dr. Maw talks you through the entire procedure. I would definitely recommend this to my family and friends. read more

Lasikplus is great if you don't care how you're treated if something goes wrong. I could immediately feel something in my eye when I woke up from the post-op nap. They confirmed during the follow up that a strand of "something" fell into my eye during surgery & that the surgeon had re-adhered my cornea back on over it without checking to remove it first & was causing some inflammation. In order to remove it they'd have to reopen my cornea to wipe/flush it out. They told me they could not get me in to get it out for at least 2 weeks post op even though they got me in for surgery (aka to take my money) only 3 days after the initial consult. I called 1 week post op to see if I could get in earlier because I could feel something in my eye every minute of the day on top of a thick red blood stripe on that eye that was not clearing up at all whereas the redness was completely gone from the other eye. Their response: "try refrigerating the eye drops instead." Finally at the post op appt to get it out, the surgeon was unaware I was there to get it removed. They then made me pay for the additional antibiotic eye drops needed when they gave them to me for free the first time. They claimed the red stripe on the eye was not related but coincidentally began to clear up almost immediately. To remediate the situation, they offered me a free T-shirt read more

Just so everyone knows the $250 per eye is a scam you're going to pay 4500 no matter what. Don't fall for it and waste your time.

My husband had this done yesterday and we are back today for the follow up! The staff and doctor have all been amazing! Everyone is so helpful and have been so caring through the whole process. Definately recommend this place! 2 weeks before procedure nurse called to confirm and answer questions, 2 days before doctor called to answer questions and morning after doctor texted to ensure he was still feeling well. We have had a great experience! read more

I had PRK surgery a month ago. I have no regrets and would do it again in a heart beat! The first week after surgery was a lot of recovery time, but well worth it and the people at LasikPlus helped with what to expect on post surgery side affects. Would I recommend LasikPlus to a friend? Absolutely! read more

I am 5 days post-PRK surgery. I went to my post-op appointment today. Before my contact bandages were removed, I could see 20/50. After they were removed, I could see 20/30! My vision before the procedure was -6.0 or approximately 20/500, so this quick improvement is phenomenal. PRK recovery is a bit longer than LASIK, but the results so far are very worth it. LasikPlus in West Des Moines has been marvelous to work with from the first phone call and through each appointment and contact I've had with them. Thank you for renewed vision, it's a life-changer! read more

Dr. Maw and the rest of the staff here are amazing!! They were so professional and everything we experienced exceeded our expectations.

I was hesitant at first, because the price was a fraction of what other eye clinics were asking for Lasik, but after doing my homework, I decided to go through with the procedure. I am one day post-op and I am so happy with the results! Everyone at the office was extremely professional and kind. I was very nervous for the procedure, but Dr. Maw talked me through the entire process. Anyone who is considering paying more than double the price at some of the other eye clinics, think again. I am so happy that Lasik Plus has made this procedure, that would have been unobtainable to me, a reality! Thank you!! read more

Friendly staff, and over all great experience. They don't pressure you to have Lasik done at your consultation. Very detailed when going over everything, Dr Maw was extremely nice and has a very soothing voice and walks you through step by step in the procedure. I had my procedure at 845 this morning and it's 430 now and I can see when I wake up, it's absolutely fabulous, best decision I made! read more

Wonderful staff with exceptionally trained doctors and surgeon Dr. Maw! I went in to see if I was a candidate for Lasik and Derek helped guide me through all the tests and then I went in to do the final eye tests with Dr. Kemmerer who told me I wasn't a candidate for lasik but I was for PRK. The procedure was explained in full detail to me and then I was taken back up to the front to Derek who explained pricing to me which was pretty much what you would expect of a surgery but still surprisingly reasonably as far as most lasik procedures I've heard of goes. I didn't feel pressured to make a decision right there and there was absolutely no sales pitch which was wonderful. After thinking it over for a few days I booked my procedure with Dr. Maw who after booking the procedure, I got a text message from telling me who he was, his credentials, asking if I had questions, and so forth which helped put my mind at ease! The day of the procedure the staff did excellent at explaining post operative care to each patient (I had a little time before I went back to the room with the Dr). The procedure was very quick and Dr. Maw explained everything as he was doing it and was very patient with me being so nervous and jumpy (even though I really didn't need to be). I'm now 8 days out from my PRK procedure and I can finally see without glasses or contacts for the first time since kindergarten and I couldn't be happier with how I was treated at LasikPlus! I will definitely be recommending this facility to anyone I come in contact with! read more

Don't go there!!! I went and day of procedure they changed the procedure. IF I had done it I still would have needed reading glasses, I can see both distance and up close with a 2.5 reading glasses from Walmart. Very pushy people there to just do it. Please use caution and see a regular eye doctor. read more

My husband had the worst experience here. He had crazy reactions and blindness for about a week. His recovery time was around 8 months and his eyes are still very sensitive to sunlight, car lights and wind. Bad experience. read more

I had an amazing experience. No pain, very little discomfort, and now I'm seeing better than 20/20. Highly recommend. Save your pennies because the price is what you would expect, being a surgery and all, but its easy to justify for perfect vision. read more

The staff is incredibly friendly and willing answer all of your questions. Scheduling is pretty easy to work with too. The part I appreciated most was being walked through the producer beforehand and during. read more

Great experience. Had my consultation with Derek & he was so kind! He was very thorough & made me feel like I was their only patient. I met Dr Maw on the day of my surgery & immediately felt at ease. I had an exceptional experience at the lasik plus out by Jordan creek. The staff is all extremely friendly and helpful. Derek is on who helped me a majority of the time. They made the process extremely easy. When I went in for my initial consultation Derek went through all of the options with me and gave me his card to contact him directly with any questions. I was nervous for the procedure but the staff there go out of there way to set your mind at ease and walk you through the entire process. I felt the customer service is exceptional. I also appreciated that whenever I come in for a follow-up apt the staff knows me by name. Having this procedure was the best thing I ever did. I was so happy with the results. I just wish I would have done it sooner! I will recommend lasik plus to everyone read more

Amazing experience all around. Great results, wonderful staff and doctor even called on personal cell. Best experience ever!

I loved the staff and Dr. at this location! I've wanted LASIK eye surgery since I can remember so I decided to look into it again now that I'm old enough. I chose the West Des Moines LasikPlus because of the high reviews and I definitely made the right choice. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgable right down to the financing. My first appointment was a week after I called and the actual procedure was scheduled for my first weekend off of work after that, which was much quicker than I expected. My entire appointment took an hour but the procedure only took about 15 minutes but it felt like 5. I woke up after my nap when I got home and I could see even more perfectly than with my glasses before! The burning and watering stopped right around 6 hours. I would definitely recommend scheduling a consultation at this location if you are getting sick of messing with glasses and contacts! read more

I just had a touch up done after 16 years of great vision. Process was simple. The actual procedure was less than 5 minutes. Lift the flap then laser. I have now have near vision in one eye and far vision in my dominant eye. I can't believe they honored a lifetime vision correction contract I purchased 16 years ago. read more

I had an enhancement done yesterday after having Lasik about 6 years ago, and the process is just as smooth as the original procedure. Less than 24 hours later and im feeling great. The staff is excellent and gives you full disclosure on what to expect and the drops to use for the easiest and best results. I would recommend lasik, specifically LasikPlus to anyone! read more
