The cashier who greeted me was super sweet & friendly and helped me to get my order. I was able to pick out whichever bag of food was in their to go fridge and ended up getting elote chicken, honey garlic shrimp & another chicken dish. They all tasted pretty good and were a nice intro to the restaurant/meal prep business. I definitely would consider buying it again! My husband was a huge fan.

It's all good though, because Sebastian and Alex B gave me the lowdown, and couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating-- these guys are hands down amazing staff-- and they're going places! One is majoring in accounting and business and the other has his sites set on aerospace engineering... AND ladies, they know how to COOK! Pictured below is Alex B proudly holding out the turkey and spinach lasagna the two of them made "homemade from scratch!" All food is made on the premises, and is available for pickup or delivery, ala carte or via subscriptions (with a subscription meals go for around $110 for 10 meals, though there are various subscription configurations.) Meals change monthly, but Alex B said his favorites are "bang bang chicken and philly cheese steak"... and I'm super psyched to try my bang bang chicken, but my mediterranean meatballs look spectacular too! He recently merged with another food service partner to become Chefit, and I have already had two major food/health safety issues in my first order. 1. I have a moderate shellfish allergy and clearly disclosed it when I started the service. After taking a few bites of my meal today, my tongue started tingling and swelling. I dug around and found a whole, large, tail-on piece of shrimp under the noodles. I had to leave work early to go home to take medicine and tend to my physical needs. 2. I leave an ice chest with ice packs out for the delivery person to put the weekly meals in, but whoever delivered it left the lid open several inches and I had to throw out the top meal because it had warmed up to outdoor temperature after being exposed for a few hours. I messaged Chef Matt about these issues. He did apologize, but instead of rectifying the situation, he said I should find a different meal service. I told him I was disappointed with his response especially since I'd been a loyal weekly customer for so many years, and then I cancelled all future orders. I appreciate the apology, but this wasn't a simple mixup- these are two major food safety/health infractions, and the only solution I was given was being told to leave.

I've already received 3-4 excited calls from him about how it's hands down the best meal he's ever had at home and that the chef is very talented. And how happy and pleased he is and that he can't wait to try the rest. So far he really liked the steak with green beans/potatoes. Their wings are the best, especially the garlic parmesan wings. They have so much fresh garlic. Random cravings for it will come up often. Even my best friend was craving it, which lead to our most recent visit. Ordering online was easy. Sometimes the wait can be long, but having the option to order in advance is great and can help with that. Their chicken sandwich and fries are also really delicious. Will always be one of my favorites.

Before opening this storefront, they did catering from home. The shop had its soft opening on April 14, 2025, followed by its grand opening on May 18, 2025. Inside is a small shop with a couple of tables, plus some outdoor seating, and fantastic background music. I was listening to several nostalgic 80s songs, including 'Til Tuesday "Voices Carry," Cyndi Lauper "Girls Just Want To Have Fun," The B-52's "Love Shack" and Naked Eyes "Always Something There To Remind Me." The playlist definitely sets a good mood and happy vibe! Menu offers a nice selection of savory, sweet, and specialty empanadas, as well as combos, Peruvian classic street food for salchipapas (french fries and hot dogs), sides, and drinks. All the savory empanadas are traditionally baked, but you can request them fried. Frying takes a little longer since it's made to order. Their most popular options are the steak, chicken, and ground beef empanadas. They offer them in two different ways, savory or traditional Peruvian. The Traditional Peruvian Style includes olives and raisins inside, that's what differentiates the savory from the traditional. They have a combo meal for 1, 2, or 3 empanadas that come with your choice of 1 or 2 sides (rice, beans, potatoes, or french fries). The most requested side is rice and beans. I ordered Meatlovers Pizza ($4.50) which is their Empanada of the Month for August. The empanada is beautifully baked to a golden crisp, inside has seasoned ground beef, pork sausage, pepperoni, melted mozzarella, and pizza sauce. It even came with a side of pizza sauce for dipping, it's great! For dessert, I tried Cheesecake Empanada ($4.50) and requested plain cheesecake. It's only available as a fried empanada, and made perfectly golden crispy, lightly dusted with powdered sugar, so yummy, not too sweet, and delightful! They also have other cheesecake empanada flavors that are worth a try, such as strawberry, white chocolate, raspberry, blueberry, guava, chocolate, and pumpkin. Also not a fan of the Peruvian style ground beef and steak. Too much olive for my taste. The chicken empanadas were okay as well as the rice and potato salad. The beans were not a good taste. I selected four different meals to try; the chicken curry, the chicken lettuce cups, the surf and turf hibachi, and the barbacoa enchiladas. They rotate their menu so you can try different meals. They offer lean, bulk, breakfast, snacks, proteins and sides by the pound, and custom meals. They also deliver and offer a subscription service with discounted meals that can be paused if needed. I loved all of my meals. Usually meal prep compromises flavor for nutrition, but these meals are flavorful and addicting. This is coming from a girl who is the daughter of a chef and super picky about her food. I am so glad I found Pure Fit. I look forward to returning and trying other meals while also enjoying some favorites on a weekly rotation.
