The place has "trompo" in the name and in the logo, and you see it right there in the kitchen, but the pastor meat you get isn't from the trompo. The meat is tender and full of flavor and wrapped with soft homemade tortillas. Their salsas are great but I recommend the green one. I usually order 6 to 7 tacos but this last time I ordered and ate 10! You have to try this spot when you're in Calvillo. They open everyday at 4 pm and they close as soon as they sell out, which is usually around 6 pm. When it opens, you'll notice two lines --one to eat at the restaurant and the other for takeout. The service is fast and efficient whether you eat there or take out. Although it's small, I highly recommend to eat there to get the full experience.

The environment is responsibility of guests...you can request a song to a mariachi, trio, Banda...you name it. We wanted to request a couple of songs to the mariachi, but we did not know that there was live music that started around 10... And boy the singer was great!
