I had a great mezcal cocktail, tuna and fideo seco appetizers, and the bass entree, plus affogato for dessert. Everything was awesome, but I think the highlight was the esquite sauce on the fish. It was creamy, crunchy and spicy, all at once. The service was outstanding and I got to hang out in the garden for a bit after dinner.

I came between meals but there was still a few people waiting outside. You grab a number before and wait to be called. Everything inside is very fast paced. Definitely a place to visit for a good and cheap meal! Staff was super friendly and went with my poor English pretty well. Also easy to pay with a card. Highly recommended in the Zona Rosa!

I would've thought Mexico City had great food in general, but that wasn't the case. Was there for four days, ate many meals out and this was the only one I really enjoyed. Too bad the place was so hot and stuffy. It was cooler outside than it was inside. All they needed to do was open some windows. Service was great though.

That said, I really appreciated how clearly those items were labeled--it set expectations upfront and made ordering easier given our schedule. The space itself is beautiful with an open, airy ambience that immediately sets the tone. We were started off with complimentary crispy tortillas served with both red and green salsas--a simple but very welcome touch. For food, my kids ordered the lime soup and the penne al chipotle, both of which they really enjoyed. My husband and I went for the tortas: he chose the Bacalao a la Veracruzana and I had the Cangrejo de Concha Suave. Both were delicious, with a unique twist on the classic flavors. My husband also had a cocktail that he loved. Overall, a solid experience with great food and atmosphere. This is definitely a place I'd return to when I can slow down and savor it properly.
