Two years ago I needed to have my roof reshingled due to a storm. I contracted with Armour Roofing…read moreto do this work. Many of my plants got trampled and destroyed by the workers. My chain link fence got bent. Upon completion of the work, for several months I found nails in my yard. He offered to replace the plants and I said it wouldn't be necessary. They were perennials and I felt it wouldn't be fair to ask him to pay for something that would come back the following spring. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. I wanted to keep a good rapport with him and a good working relationship because I felt there was potential there and I was willing to give him a chance on another project. Last year he re-sided my house and put new windows in. There was a great deal of miscommunication. I found out I had to be very vigilant or I would have ended up with a different entryway roofline than I wanted, different doors and many other things. He built a new entry way which included a new front door. The door was pre-hung in a 2x4 frame, the door opening was 2x6. He claimed he did not feel comfortable with his skills to trim the doorway and asked me to get a separate contractor to do that work and he would reimburse them. I could not find another contractor who was willing to get involved in the situation. I asked Ryan to complete the previously agreed upon work, and he agreed. That was in May, as of August he still had not done so. He was paid in full before he even completed the work. I finally found someone who would do it because I wanted nothing further to do with him and didn't want him coming anywhere near my house again. Last evening I found one of the brand new windows, which were installed less than a year ago, was leaking. I had water running from the window frame down my walls, damaging the insulation and sheetrock. New windows should not leak. I got a local contractor to come over and immediately get it fixed so it would stop leaking. I contacted Ryan and explained the situation to him. I told him that I was having it repaired and I would submit the bill for the repairs to him for reimbursement. He stated he would not pay for that and it was not his fault. Do not use Armour Roofing! Poor work ethic, poor communication, poor follow through and completion, doesn't stand behind his work.

He was transparent on the price, the process, and the payment. His team workers came in and had an entire roof on in one day. That was new boards, shingles, vents, drip caps, and gutter guards. His team worked all day to get it done and ran out of daylight. The next day they cleaned up racking and using a magnet to make sure there were no nails on the ground. The Top Notch Roofing team were very efficient. Hands down best experience with a contractor.

How refreshing to find a business that actually stands behind its work! We'll definitely call again when next we need professional service.

They arrived that morning exactly when they said... which is not typical for many contractors. The work was excellent. They kept in communication with me and told me about some problem areas that were discovered during removal of the old siding. They could have just covered these areas up and moved on, but they wanted it repaired right, so they cut out the old wood, installed some new sheathing, and then sealed all the windows properly with Vycor (self sealing tape). They installed house wrap and then the siding the way it should have been done the first time. Based upon their attention to detail it is quite clear this siding job will last for decades. Very pleased with the quality of work and the entire experience. Even their cleanup was superb - they used tarps to catch debris and even went over the entire area with a magnetic sweeper to pick up any dropped nails. Cannot say enough about these guys - they work hard and deliver a quality result. E&C is now on my short list of contractors that I trust and use time and time again. My siding is now better than new and I hope I don't need a new roof anytime soon, but if the next big hail storm hits I can promise you I'll be contacting E&C without a doubt. Well done guys.
