Store surroundings were run down but it was still nice to be there. No 'curb' for the tires to run on...Went to the courthouse. A law enforcement officer told me the store had been closed for a couple of years. The owner still lived in the area but business was so bad he had to shut it down. The courthouse has changed also - unrecognizable now. Sad really. Still worth the visit to the store and the town.

So, I handed her my credit card (ugh, I really hate having to do that anymore), and went out to start pumping fuel. As I was filling my tank, I noticed that I could have saved 10 cents a gallon vs 1 or 2% from using a credit card (hits self in head; gotta get use to this cash discount thing on fuel down here). But, when I went back inside to pay, she hadn't charged my c/c yet, so I was able to pay cash after all. 8-) So, rather than my c/c bill having $17.77 ($2.359/gallon; but try to buy 9/10 cent worth of gas, and see what happens. Lol), and saving .17 or .34 cents after the fact. I saved .76 cents immediately. Granted, one can't buy much with .76 cents. But, when filling up every so often, it do add up.

They do carry jewelry, accessories, and clothing, but I wouldn't suggest getting any of the latter from here. Bottom is the basement and top floor goes to street level. After figuring out what to get, I used the self checkout but it was not showing the true sale price. I looked for an employee to help me and the sales associate Derrika was the only one around. She was amazing and helped me at the register. She was able to troubleshoot and figure out why the system was showing the wrong prices pretty quickly. She was also by herself at the moment, had to take a customer call who was rambling on about some issue that has nothing to do with Derrika, and was also actively making sure people around were ok. So my review is mostly for Derrika, she made me experience at this CVS very pleasant and I appreciate her service and dedication without losing her cool. Go Derrika!
