But they had jumped their prices up substantially. So, I was searching for a barber or stylist 1, that didn't cost an arm & a leg, 2, had very good reviews. Hicks Manor Barber Shop met that criteria. I stopped by in the afternoon. Only had to wait about 10-12 minutes for a barber. The gentleman asked how I wanted it cut and how short. Chatted a bit while he cut my hair, pleasant conversation. Done in short order and looked great. Main test was what my wife thought. Passed with flying colors! Very happy with the finished product, the price, the time involved and , it was close to home! After a few failed attempts at the other barber shops around town, I decided to take a chance on Lisa's and I have zero regrets. For once, someone LISTENED. The other barbers would nod their hair in agreement and then give me exactly what I didn't want. Lisa's bright personality and love of her craft made the experience all the more better in her classy, small and very clean barber shop. I told her exactly what I was shooting for in the long run and she tailored my cut exactly for that. She is by appointment only, but it's to your benefit. It's only her and it amounts to a personalized experience where you're always comfortable.
