The entire claim process was unusually long, lasting months, in which I had the impression that they were looking for anything that can possibly use to deny my claim. This experience felt more like a court cross-examination than a process to understand what happened and shed light on the coverage and claim process. Finally, the company found something they thought would allow them to deny the claim. When I reached out in an attempt to communicate and clarify the situation, all I received was radio silence. Not to mention the "something" they found was dubious at best. An insurance policy, as I understand, is designed to give you some peace of mind in an unexpected situation in a perhaps unfamiliar circumstance. However, in this case, I find myself in the extraordinary position that the claim itself has become more challenging and difficult than the accident it was supposed to shield me from. Naturally, this leads to the question of whether there is any positive value to having and paying for this insurance from Crawford/Broadspire in the first place.

When I switched to Allstate, they took the time to gather the proper information, and quote me correctly, also finding Phil's mistake. Something Phil block won't do, nor take responsibility for. If you're looking for an expert that cares, it isn't here. Go to Allstate and they'll quote you correctly. Phil refuses to make the situation right and send my policy through underwriting as a condo, and not a single family home, and refund me the overage I paid for years.
