So we were just passing through from Omaha ne to orange country Ca - so i stopped for the night in Pratt and in the morning got about 10 mins outside of town and my tire pressure light came on so I backtracked and came back to this Walmart. Called ahead to see if they were busy and the got me in quick!! They didn't carry my tire size but no big the nail in my tire was plugable. They got me on the road in about an hour :) I'm a happy camper and it didn't ruin my trip. Hopefully the patch will get me to Albuquerque where I can get a new tire. YAY WALMART you guys rock!

They may not have everything I want in terms of upscale groceries, clothing, and media, but they do a pretty good job and prices are fair. Also, my previous experiences with Wal-Marts have been in cities, where you get the dirtiest, nastiest, drug addicted, half-naked crazy people who come in and make you want to not shop there. This Wal-Mart, on the other hand, has a very respectable clientele.

Today was no exception, except I spoke to management today. So I place my order about midnight and it was ready before noon. I order 2 cases of water and some other items. They substituted my water for water that was about 40 cents more, also I canceled some substitution. Anyway I went in and found everything they said they didn't have. This is what upset me. I spoke to management and they said they ran out of the water from midnight to noon. But had 4 pallets that had half or more water on them around noon. I think I am done with Walmart. I know that it doesn't matter if I stop shopping there that they will make their money. But at least consider filing a complaint so things can get fixed. I doubt I am the only one that has problems with this store. So please file a complaint and let's change this Walmart.

I've been trading at the Dillons store in Wellington, KS, for years. During today's shopping trip,…read moreI went to the customer service counter to by a 12-game Powerball ticket. Sherry helped me. Since I have vision problems, I asked Sherry to fill out the ticket for me and specifically told her that I wanted "12 games." I noticed she was printing out 12 separate tickets, so I told her I wanted them all on the same ticket. She said, "Well, I should have marked 12 games on the card then. They'll be on separate tickets." I thought she meant 12 games (which is what I asked for) ... one ticket per game. When I got home and looked at the tickets, all 12 were for the same game. Why would I want 12 tickets with the same numbers for the same game? That makes no sense. "Twelve games" means 12 different, consecutive games. I called the Dillons store and talked to Sherry about it. She was very rude and refused to accept any responsibility for the mistake. I finally said, "Maybe I should just stop shopping at Dillons altogether." Her response was, "Well, if that's what you want to do." So, apparently Dillons doesn't care if they lose dedicated customers. And if this is the best service they have to offer, then I highly doubt if I'll trade there any longer. You've been warned.

Really though, I like coming to this Walmart because it reminds me of the one I had in my hometown growing up. It's tiny, has no true grocery section, and the design has some touches that are closer to the 80s than today. Those are plusses in my book. The store is well kept and carries a little of everything. They had quite a few things I don't even see in our big markets in Wichita. The service was nice and they even had a guy helping another guy carry out groceries. I never know what to expect in small towns. The thing I fell in love with was their rotisserie chicken. It is in the back by the meats and they also have fresh hotlinks and bbq ribs but the chicken looks like it was made my angels. Roasted to perfection from every angle. All of them looked perfect. At our huge local chain it their chickens are pathetic, with little roasting on the skin & not a lot of flavor and they are tiny. NOT here, the chickens were huge and they have a seasoning that is to die for. I should have bought 2 or 3 because when we got home my mother decided to cut half off and take it home. But at least I got most of the breasts and thighs. I will drive back the 20 miles to get more in the next week. Nice little small town grocery.
