I loved the jewellery and bought an exquisite necklace for a friend for under £10. The girl who served me was very pleasant and she gift-wrapped the necklace beautifully for no extra charge. Her sprawled out appearance reminds me of these exotic 70s paintings of Amazonian woman with lurid but beautiful painted blue skin and lots of make-up. But enough digressing - Tiny Shiny Things is a wee gem of a jewellery store, and to be hoenst I feel as though its cutesy name downplays the quality of the local designs that they have on offer.They play host to a number of homegrown talent including Sheila Fleet, Tiangus Jackson and the staple of the Rennie Mack collections. Sheila Fleet's jewllery is particularly striking as her simple, bold designs are also very elegant, with their curved contours emphasising their organic inspiration. This shop does sell Tiny Shiny Things but it should be furthering promotion of the amount of talented designers they host rather than whispering about it in a mousy fashion.

I browsed in here a few days ago and bought some nice greetings cards and a few small Christmas and birthday presents. There are some lovely scented products (the whole alcove smells divine!!) including candles, drawer liners and pot pourri. The jewellery, glassware and ceramics are expensive (some items extremely so) but unique I certainly haven't seen any of these anywhere else. Gorgeous tablecloths and other tableware too including a lovely rich red Christmas range, and many high quality Christmas ornaments too. To sum up, you need plenty of cash to shop here but you'll find wonderful gifts that really are 'out of the ordinary'.
