Im so in love with our house! I so love the people who made this happen. I love the Rymals, Aaron in Finance, the Architects, and the entire field Office from the Project Managers to the awesome Customer Service Reps! Thank you!
This was our first build. Im so glad we had Craig and Cheryl hold our hands through this whole process. Being our first build, it required a lot of home work on our part. It began with a meeting with Craig and letting them know what we wanted in our home. Of course at this time we were not ready to build, but we did touch base with them every time we were in SC.
Fast forward to 2017 when we gave Craig the go ahead to commence drawings for our home. After many changes going back and forth to get our home just right and with advice from the Rymals who were extremely patient with me and my need for symmetry, a final decision was made. We had kept in constant touch with Craig and he with us.
Prior to even digging a hole in the ground, it was contractually necessary to make our selections. My husband requested Cheryl to send us a list of all the appliances, fixtures and fittings etc that was going into our home. We reviewed and reviewed again where every door, every switch etc etc was going. We visited a Ferguson Showroom in our home State and researched what was going in and decided at that time what would go in our home. It pays to be prudent and research. It prevents poor outcomes down the line! This is OUR home therefore the onus is on the Owner not the Builder to ensure this is what we wanted. I was very happy that we would have the expertise of Cheryl Rymal.
On selection day, we visited the different Vendors and with Cheryl's expert opinion, we were able to make our selections very quickly. This lady knows her stuff. If you dont want your house looking like a science experiment, listen to her. She doesnt impose her opinion but has done this for so long, that her experience is a very important and valuable asset. Of course this too comes free of charge. Ive seen other builders send their clients with the drawings to the Vendors and leave them to their own devices! The key here was that we ACTIVELY PARTICIPATED in our home at every stage, even before a hole was dug. PERSONAL CHOICES=PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY. I think we still hold the record for the fastest selections made! We were kept abreast of all aspects of the build to include pictures. No one else does this! When we came in for our electrical walk through, it was extremely cold, yet we had everyone involved out here to help us through this. Small changes were made and every request was graciously accepted.
On moving day, Mike was here to help us with the walk through. He patiently answered all our questions and instructed us how to start the punch list.
Im going to step on my Soap box now. This is where I disagree with those who become perennial whiners and complainers after the build. Yes, things happen. We dont live in Utopia. I also dislike those who fault the Builder for their own poor choices. This is dishonesty! Remember, YOU made those selections, not the Builder. Remember YOU signed off on YOUR selections! There is something to be said about the lack of integrity of those pinning the blame on the Builder, for their own poor choices. You have the opportunity to take charge of your selections and do your own research. I also find it duplicitous to now have the Builder pay for YOUR bad choices. CR-Largo homes bends over backwards to fix issues that crop up. All you perennial whiners, I dare you to walk in their shoes, do what they do and see if you can execute it perfectly with nary a complaint!!!!! There will always be those who incessantly whine and complain no matter what is done for them, will never be happy no matter what. It must be hard living life that way. I have a hard time believing that the stringent building inspectors who inspect every step, not see faulty wiring or poorly hung doors or anything that would jeopardize safety! These kind of people know if they bad mouth the Builder, they get what they want. That's duplicitous behavior and is disgusting! Off my soap box.
I am here to tell potential clients, to look past the noise of complainers, step aside from the rhetorical gymnastics being performed and go to a home these folks build. Please talk to the home owner and get an honest opinion. See what beautiful homes they build. Emotions aside, the facts will always become a game changer. We had a choice of Builders and what CR-Largo offers as standard in their homes, is charged at an exorbitant rate by their Competitors. They also build to a higher standard than what is required by the County. This was evident in how many anchors were used in the frame and the quality of hurricane clips used. We are very happy with our home! Its a magnificient build, done by folks who truly care every step of the way.
