    Comp chips. Excellent salsa
    Tim S.

I'm very happy to say we found a good food option in town. We were staying at a cabin in the country nearby for a weekend and wanted to "go into town" and have something for dinner one night. We had looked and couldn't find much, so figured to drive around and see what was open. Laredo Mexican didn't look like much from the outside but we decided to go with it. We got a booth right away and service right after. A nice fella helped us get a couple drinks and some suggestions on the menu. The drinks were solid. The appetizer, queso fundido, was not right. Good news they took it away right away. The chips and salsa were excellent though. I got the fried burrito and my gal got the shrimp fajitas. I wasn't enjoying my meal that much but hers was very good. Mostly it was nice to get out. The ambiance was nice actually. There was some Mexican Ranchera music playing and the staff was always at the ready. It wasn't amazing, but it was a great stop, and maybe the best spot in town righty now.

They always start you off with fresh chips and salsa (and you can upgrade to a variety of different salsas for a small extra cost). The drinks are consistently well-made and never disappoint. Our go-to appetizers are the street corn, queso fundido, and the guacamole, everything tastes super authentic and full of flavor. We usually order our absolute favorite: the Monterey tacos (a must-try that you can only find at Agave Azul). It's basically a steak taco wrapped in a cheese tortilla, served with rice on the side,so good!!! This time, we switched it up and tried the steak fajitas, shrimp tacos, and taco salad, and every dish was delicious. And we can't forget the margaritas! high quality, perfectly balanced, and they definitely hit just right. We'll 100% keep coming back. This is our go-to spot for Mexican food in the area!

Whether you go for the Churros with cajeta or the rich five-layer Pastel de Chocolate, you're in for a treat. Definitely worth a visit!

Disclaimer: this review is for the lunch buffet only…read more I went with my family to try the $18.49 all you can eat lunch buffet. This was my first time experiencing a buffet for hispanic food and for this price point in Orlando, this is an amazing value deal. The server regularly brought us out silverware, napkins, and refilled our water. The place is decorated very fun and plays latin music which was lovely Not only was there an unlimited assortment of lunch foods, but an entire bar of fresh toppings for tacos (or rice bowls) and made to order desserts which were included for free! Not everything on the buffet line was the best but given the amount of options, price, and how good the great items are this is still worth a five star rating. I unfortunately did not take pictures of the food before I began devouring everything in sight to the point of near-collapse, but I will do a quick rundown of the buffet highlights: The best meats were the fajita steak, chicken, and shrimp made fresh in cast iron skillets, as well as the chicken lengua which was super flavorful and tender. The mexican rice, beans, fajitas, plantains, and street corn were also excellent. Fresh quesadillas, chips, and corn tortillas on standby with homemade queso and salsas. The flan and mini churros were the best I've ever had. Super rich, decadent Carmel flan. Mini churros hot and crisp on the outside, filled with a gooey soft milk chocolate center. They were delicious. Items that were disappointing: the tamales, mini chicken flautas, and beef chimichangas were just okay, lacking the seasoning and flavor that other dishes had. The beef barbacoa was not as tender or flavorful as the shredded chicken surprisingly. The mixed seafood was itself a mixed bag with some shrimps / scallops overcooked to much while others were perfectly cooked. The chicken mole and beef tri tip were room temperature despite sitting on hot plates. The tri tip also varied widely in doneness throughout the slices and not super tender. The rice pudding was pretty standard, and the tres leches cake was weird as they crumbled the cake into pieces before soaking it.

The server was extremely friendly and accommodating. He made sure to get the chips and salsa out quickly to help my hangry children. We were only able to order cheese enchiladas. But they were really good. The red sauce wasn't the typical tangy and spicy enchilada sauce, it was a bit sweeter (possibly a mole type sauce). Definitely plan to come again when the kiddos are in a better mood and try more of the menu!

There are plenty of Mexican restaurants in the area where we can choose to spend our hard-earned money and, just as importantly, our time, so unfortunately this first experience was disappointing. When we walked in, it was hot and humid and smelled like Fabuloso cleaner. I asked the host about happy hour and all she could tell us was that it ended at 6. We were seated, and several minutes passed before our server greeted us. We ordered drinks and asked for a water as well. We were ready to order our food, but first I asked her to confirm whether burritos were $12 that day, since their Instagram has advertised $12 burritos on Wednesdays as a daily special since June. She seemed unsure and said she would check. About 10 minutes later, she returned with our drinks and asked if we were ready to order, but never gave us an answer about the special. I had to ask again, and she then confirmed that the burritos were $12. We ordered our burritos along with a side of maduros. My husband had just gotten off the golf course and was very thirsty, but his water still hadn't arrived. Our server wasn't coming back around, so when the host walked by, he politely asked if she could please get our server. Unfortunately, she seemed to forget and went back to the host stand. A few minutes later, our food arrived, but we still had no water, silverware, or napkins. We waited a couple more minutes until we finally saw our server and had to ask for silverware and napkins so we could actually eat our food. She brought those over along with the water. We were already halfway through our meal when we saw her walking by again and had to remind her about the maduros. She said, "Oh yeah," checked on them, and finally brought them out. The food itself was okay, but the service was extremely inconsistent and inattentive. We shouldn't have to repeatedly track down our server for water, silverware, napkins, an answer about an advertised special, and a side dish we ordered. I really wanted to enjoy this place based on the reviews, but for a first visit, it unfortunately didn't leave us feeling like we would choose to come back, especially with so many other Mexican restaurants in the area competing for our business.
