The burgers are excellent. I recommend following their Facebook page to see & learn about other options (an example for this particular Saturday night is chicken, steak and walleye). I've heard their fried chicken is very good too, when it's on the menu. You order from and pay at the counter in the back of the Eagles (we typically enter through the back door by that kitchen). They'll call your name when ready. Someone will come by as well and take any drink orders. There are a bunch of long tables in the back and visitors under 21 can eat back here when serving food - otherwise this is a 21+ bar.

I've visited a few times…read more The dining room is very comfortable maybe slightly dated. The WiFi never works. Nobody knows what the password is? The menu has lots of variety, mostly German recipes, however, there are other items. The food is excellent and very expensive. There is nothing under $13.99 and they charge 50cents for a small slice of lemon! That's nickel and diming, Service is inconsistent - great one time, not so great the next time. The exception is the owner, a tall German man, serves the meals and is very friendly. If he were not the owner, I'd tip him. Nice restaurant that I will visit again however not often as it is quite expensive.

Their menu is extensive, with burgers, poutine, milkshakes, twisters, yogurt, lemonade, etc all available. I'll definitely return here in future road trips to the area simply because of the variety available here, I didn't end up trying everything I wanted to at all. For this visit I had the mozza mushroom burger with their original freshly squeezed lemonade. I'll admit, the burger portion isn't the biggest, but it was certainly quality over quantity in terms of its juiciness. Their lemonade though, oh my goodness it was delicious, and it was definitely squeezed with fresh lemons. The outdoor seating can get infested with flies, which is something you'll have to live with if eating at those bench tables. Otherwise though this is a stop that I highly recommend if you're in Morden.

We were surprised to find that both steaks were extremely tough. They were cooked perfectly to medium, but the quality of the beef was obviously very poor. The server, supervisor and manager were all very apologetic and even replaced our steaks in the hopes that the second try would be better. No luck. The replacement steaks were just as tough. It seems like Mr. Mike's is buying very poor quality meat. In spite of the terrific staff here, we won't be customers of Mr. Mike's again.

We prefer our burgers with lettuce and tomato so we figured we would start with their buzz burger. The french fries are very good. We just had a Sprite so, Sprite is Sprite. They have fairly dense buns for their burgers, the burger meat is about like McDonald's, the slice of tomato I had in my burger was a seemingly not fully ripe crunchy and. The Oreo flurry is made with pulverized Oreos. There are no chunks of cookie in there. My peanut butter sundae was pretty decent. Perhaps Mondays are a bad day for burgers. In the past, we had ordered chicken fingers and they are quite good. While we enjoy Syl's, this trip was a little disappointing particularly because we were there for burgers. It was plain and not very flavourful. We will have to try again. Being a Monday, it was fairly slow there and perhaps that had something to do with it. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
