Horrible horrible horrible. I'm extremely disappointed in this years lights. Last year there were a lot more lights, more food to choose from, more fair rides, and acrobat show was free. They charge more for less now pretty ridiculous. I had taken a few people to it explaining how great it was from last year. This year we were there less than an hour and seen everything. People didn't look happy or excited looking at the lights because it was poorly displayed this year just thrown together looked cheap. $18 per person is ridiculous and $8 extra for show. $10 for parking! Ripping people off. The website looks like it'd be a great event false advertisement. It all around sucked! Waste of money will not return when it ever comes back. Save your money! read more

Very disappointed- I had read all the great reviews,seen a ton of pictures of what appeared to be awesome light displays-had been to the drive thru lights in Tempe at Christmas and was left blown away by the time and effort put in there but this wasn't remote close. First off this event has a ton of different pricing most of it not cheap enough for what it really was. Groupon was showing this should be $30.00 a person and was currently charging $20.00 a person. If you go to the lights web site it was $25.00 a person but they had a special for $17.00 a person if you went in Tue,wed or Thur. They apparently also have a can drive where you can get in with about $2.00 worth of can food donations. We didn't know about the cans until it was to late and ended up spending $53.00 for tickets then another $10 to park for a place we spent approx 15 minutes. Not being from the area we were really unprepared for where this event actually took place-it was an interesting drive in and not someplace we would come back to. I was surprised given I believe there are the state fairgrounds. The lights had no real theme or direction and were very worn down. Lots of dinosaurs for some reason which really didn't fit the "lights of the world"theme. The carnival rides looked and sounded almost as worn as the lights themselves. The poor sea lions (a show that was supposed to be a bonus)were kept in these tiny pools and we felt so sorry for them. Needless to say we were in and out in about 15 minutes and would never do it again. Just not our cup of tea apparently. read more

Pretty disappointed with the relocation to the fair grounds. Last year was my first year in attendance and it was a major holiday highlight as well as a fantastic date option. The Chandler location was more intimate and seamed worth the pricey admission. The acrobats were amazing last year, however they charged an additional fee for the show this year. Considering the disappointment of everything else there this year, we opted out. Sadly, I'll be looking for another light show for next holiday season. read more

I was disappointed with it this year. It seemed much smaller and now they milk you out of money every way they can. $10 parking $18 ticket, and then you have to pay $8 separately for acrobatics. The acrobatics is really the only reason to go because the lights you can loop around and see in 15-20 minutes. Not to mention the food, they don't accept cash or card, and who really wants to bother with getting a food card there. It was much nicer the prior year. read more

Was super excited to attend but was disappointed. I got our tickets for $14 each (there were 4 of us) n $10 for parking. My co workers also told me they spent 3 hours here and how awesome the lights were etc so perhaps I had way to high of expectations. The light displays were nice but nothing spectacular etc.. perhaps if you have kids w u, then this place would have been fun but for me I could have just drove thru my neighborhood to look at lights for free. I don't understand all the negative reviews. Yeah I guess admission is a bit overpriced for adults ($25, $15 for kids) but it's still a cool place that is unique from anywhere else. The whole place is filled with lights and most of the workers here seem to be from China, some don't even speak a word of English. The acrobatics show at 7pm is an amazing show filled with some great stunts and flips done by some extremely talented Chinese people. The carnival wasn't the best, it only had rides suited for little kids. There was only like 2 rides that I could see an adult enjoying and they weren't that great. There are some people selling food that accept credit cards as long as you spend over $10. There's a Dinosaur section that's pretty cool with moving Dinosaur displays with sounds. It's a great place to have a wonderful unique family experience with tons of potential great photos just waiting to be taken. Don't listen to the negative reviews, give this place a shot. I went to this last year and it was amazing. Really beautiful light lantern displays representing many countries. They also have a whole dinosaur section for the kids. The acrobatics show is out of this world though they need to make it longer. The food was pretty good too. read more

Lights of the World was OK. Got the tickets from Walgreens for $16 each instead of $18. The lights were cool, but I don't think any of the displays really wowed me. Some fun activities there for kids. The acrobat show made it worth it, for an additional $8 per person... that was some America's Got Talent-style, quality entertainment. read more

I had an awesome time here with my family tonight. The lights were beautiful, and it was almost empty which was another plus! The acrobatic show alone was amazing and made up for the cost of the ticket. I would recommend coming on a weekday night to avoid the crowds. Its a perfect place for families as well as for date nights (I would assume- wouldn't know lol). Oh and first responders (police, fire, EMS) get free admissions on Tuesdays! read more

Wow !!!! This was more than what I had expected and had somewhat high expectations for there price let me just say it did not disappoint !!! First off check Groupon because you can get a deal 4 people for $48! Plus and extra $10 for parking. We went early because we have young toddlers who are usually in bed by 7. We got here at 5 lights don't start till 6 pm but you can still go in. They have rides for he little ones it's bout $5 a ride so can get very expensive very fast. They had all kinds of food vendors that looked delicious and smelled great with slot of artisans very beautiful authentic pieces. They will haggle in price just FYI ;) back to the lights pretty darn talented for the people who do these displays there wasn't that many countries as I was hoping for but for Christmas displays interactive displays and lots of dinosaurs which out kids had a blast and ocean we missed the acrobat shows :( pretty sure they would have been neat too . The bathrooms were porter potties kinda scary looking but after being there for 3 hrs my little one needed to go and it was very clean. My family and friends had a great time and will defiantly go back next year as long as they offer a discounted rate again such as Groupon because the regular price for admission is just too high for a family of four plus all the extras :) read more

Don't waste your time and money on this overpriced attraction. We had discounted tickets and it was still extremely disappointing. It took us only 40 minutes to walk and see the entirety of the displays. Cheese-y is the most apt description of this event. Also, parking is $10, cash only. Overpriced. Imagine giant blow-up lawn ornaments with lights inside. Honestly, you'll see better lights by driving down the streets at night than you'll see here, and at least in your car, people won't be trying everything they can think of to take your money. Very disappointing. Just a grocery store parking lot carnival with some light displays that were just ok. Spent $25.00 per person and $6.00 to park so we could stand in line for an hour and watch the kids ride two cheesy carnival rides. Amazing lights, wonderful authentic food, very well done acrobatic show. We enjoyed the entire experience from beginning to end. There were also rides and games. I was so impressed. People are complaining about cost.... the fair always costs money. Yeah the parking is kind of high I guess, but the light exhibit and show cost 26 total. I thought it was insanely well priced given the quality of show and lights. You would pay much more than this to see similarly talented cirque du soliel performers. If you haven't seen Lights of the World, save your money. It is expensive, there is an extra charge for parking, and when you get inside the food, drink and trinkets are super expensive. It was pretty but I would never pay that much money to see it again. read more

We went Dec 30th and waited over an hour to park while some casino partygoers urinated in the landscaping next to parking line and loud electronic music thumped at an adjacent rave. After paying $10 for parking we we're turned away from the lights venue due to lightning. Despite our explanation that we were leaving town and could not return they would not refund us our ticket price for family of 5. Don't recommend for families! read more

Very disappointed after all the hype of this light display. No comparison to the experience of the zoo lights. Geared more for children but with that said very expensive for a family. Even parking is $10！ Acrobatic show had very limited seating - very small crowd for a Saturday night and half of the people had to stand. Bathrooms were filthy and not equipped properly. Do not waste your money and time on this cheesy light show. First and foremost, it looks like something you would see in a carnival. The expense is outrageous. The placed lacked vendors in the area that would sell eats, etc., due to the expanse of the light show area. There were just a few small tables for people to sit on, even though, at this time of year there are thousands of snow birds, many that might find all this walking troublesome. I read a lot of the reviews before coming here. I brought a Groupon and wet with five other people. The lights were really cool and the exhibits were cool as well. The pricing was like $25 per adult just to get in and I don't think it was worth it so I'm glad that I brought to the Groupon. The food was kind of overpriced but something you would expect at a fair like function. There was also a carnival there with about five or six rides. Most of them were for a little kids and the tickets were like $20 for 10 tickets. Each ride took five tickets. I guess that's how they get you. I read reviews that you could only pay with cash at the food places every food place I went to excepted a card payment I didn't take any cash with me. Overall it was a fun thing to do to get out of the house and a fun alternative for the usual zoo lights. I recommend to bundle up because it gets cold outside and everything is outside. My family and I went to the show last night. It was terrific to see what could be done with lanterns, plates, and recycled bottles and cans! We enjoyed the acrobat show and the walk through the park to view the different areas of the world. We especially enjoyed the dinosaur exhibits. Very good program. The reason they only received 3 stars had to do with several things: 1) My parents are in wheelchairs and while they had a handicapped area set aside, it was not clearly marked and when I received directions at the gate to "take the first left", that was not the case. You had to do a loop around to get to the area and then it was all large gravel to the opening in the fence. We had to go back on the road with the wheelchairs to get down to admission. It was a poor set-up. 2) There was a $10 charge for parking which is not understandable at all considering the price of the tickets. Parking should be free for the event. 3) Everything inside to purchase in the way of food and souvenirs was TOO EXPENSIVE! It would have been nice to sample some of the items there for food but they were all way above what we would have paid. The food and other things to buy were higher than even the fair! We did need something to drink and paid $19.50 for 2 cups of coffee, 2 cups of hot chocolate, and 1 bottled water (which the brand came from COSTCO). It was fun to see the lanterns and what was done with the lights but I don't believe we would go back if they came to the area again. read more

After going to zoo lights and being disappointed this place surely made up for it. The lights and displays were beautiful! My 12 and 8 year old were entertained the whole time! I bought the Groupon so paid $42 for a family of 4. The whole event is paved, my mom is using a knee wheel chair and she was able to maneuver through the event with ease. I will say the food is pretty expensive $3 for a bottle of water and $9 for a chicken teriyaki bowl. I do recommend brining cash because the ATM will charge you $4. They have authentic Asian food as well as fair food trucks. The rides were good my kids loved them. The rides are limited but my 8 year old was tall enough for all of them so no complains there. The ride tickets are $20/20 or wrist bands $25 rides are 3-5 tickets each. The acrobatics show was very entertaining with many talented people doing dancing, gymnastics, acrobatics and mask changing tricks it was a good show that had our eyes glued the whole time! I recommend this event you won't be disappointed if you're looking for something different!!! read more
