After providing the necessary documentation to my attorney and paralegal to finalize a specific document, I was billed and paid over $1,100 for the work performed. However, despite following up multiple times over the course of two/three weeks to review the draft, I received no response. Even after escalating the matter to the owner of the law firm with a detailed timeline of events, my correspondence was ignored. Due to this breakdown in communication and the loss of trust, I made the decision to close my case. While a paralegal eventually called to apologize, the underlying issues remained unaddressed. After a week I inquired about a refund and was quoted a specific amount; however, I have yet to receive the document I was billed for or an explanation as to why it has not been provided.
