Amazing food!! Shrimp ceviche was fantastic. Chicken nachos, steak and chicken fajitas with homemade flour tortillas all drinks we ordered were good.

originally came here for the views and ambiance, ended up coming back 3 more times for the oysters! this is the spot to visit for super fresh seafood and with the best view of the sunset. also try the tamarind margarita. service is always friendly and attentive. it's a must visit for me every time i am in PV.

Stumbled upon this place during our walk. They have wine on happy hour, I believe they also had pina coladas and margaritas. I got some white wine which btw was amazing. I also did get a pina colada (not pictured) which my boyfriend took from me bc he loved it so much. I got some pasta and my bf got some steak. I got a few pieces from his steak and WOW was it good. The view was really nice as you're seated on the beach but they also have some seating inside the restaurant.

This place is amazing. We had a sunset view with a great dinner. The food is reasonably priced and very flavorful. They were very attentive to our needs. I would totally recommend. The are a lot of local vendors trying to sell you stuff but if you say no they are fairly respectful.

Excellent ceviche! Jorge is one of the best and proudest, nicest and most accommodating servers I've seen. The playa de Los muertos views and people passing by are fantastic. This is what vacation should be! It is pricey (but totally worth it for the views and quality) and their wine list is very short (and mostly cheap Chilean). Great beer and cocktails selection.

Visiting as a tourist there's so many restaurants along the beach , this place has a unique name and me and my family decided to stop by our food was amazing and service was excellent ! The scenery is amazing and it's even better during sunset . Definitely worth visiting !

We ordered the spaghetti, Bolognese and the spaghetti carbonara. It is absolutely amazing.!

My waiter was absolutely amazing! The spaghetti Bolognese is what I ordered and it was very tasty. My daughter ordered the spaghetti carbonara and she said it was very creamy and had a lot of flavor. I recommend this place if you come to PVR.

What a great place to stroll by and hang for a strong Margarita and some wonderful foods The beach location is in the heart of a lot of foot traffic and action with a great view of the pier

This has been one our go to places while visiting PV. The waiters, waitresses and managers are always friendly and professional (Julian, Sophia, Abraham and Emilio). The music is good, the sunset view and the food is always delicious. Happy hour is 5-7 PM, long enough to enjoy the scene and sunset.

We came here specifically for the red snapper and did not leave disappointed. Service was excellent. We called ahead to see if they had the red snapper and when we got to the restaurant without ever meeting us prior he said my friend..you called! Jorge (?!?) stayed consistent the entire visit which made it more of a personalized experience for us. Anyways, the snapper was amazing and I myself got a pasta with cream sauce and garlic bread served piping hot as well as a side of guacamole to go with the complimentary chips. The frozen strawberry margarita was the perfect addition to dinner. For a place on the beach/ or with beach views and a great price I'd recommend this restaurant. Our bill was only $18-ish USD. The only slightly annoying thing is the people on the beach constantly trying to sell you stuff but that's typical for this area and has nothing to do with the business directly. A simple no gracias works.

Very reasonable price brunch or dinner and best food for all you have a view and of the beach.

Possibly the best location in PV, beautiful view of the dock, great service, just fun and friendly and good food and good times. Apologies again to our server; my niece became ill and was doing very poorly at dinner; she was horrified that they would think that it was them. It wasn't. She was feeling bad on our way to dinner and went downhill fast. Langostinos was wonderful, my sister and I loved our food, and my niece did also until the sunburn and sleep deprivation and jetlag did her in. Great place, definitely will return (when everyone is healthy)

Great food, location and service!! We look forward to coming here every time we're in town!

After looking up good places to go, Bar La Playa came up- and I'm sure glad it did! First, it's easy to get to if you're coming from North. Our Uber was easily able to drop us off without getting stuck in gridlock traffic that can affect certain roads of this area. Additionally, the location isn't a high-traffic area for tourists. That meant we were able to walk up and immediately find seats. Second, the service was top notch. I didn't get the bartenders name, but he was very welcoming, friendly, hospitable and spoke English. Just an overall cool dude and was glad to support his business. Third, the drinks were great. Finally, we were drinking 'real' drinks, not the watered down sugary stuff at the hotel. We were very satisfied with the taste of the drinks. Fourth, the prices are really good. Mexico has gotten expensive and this was a sigh of relief. You can have a great time here without feeling like you paid an arm and a leg. I highly-highly recommend making Bar La Playa your first stop when coming to this area. You're going to get great service, great drinks and all at a price that is reasonable and fair.

They use tanqueray as their house gin which is unusual but a pleasant surprise as it actually happens to be my preferred brand. I didn't have high hopes for the martini - I find that outside of major U.S. cities places end up putting in way too much vermouth - and it actually ended up being fantastic. It didn't taste too different from what I would make at home which is probably the best thing I could say about a martini (for my own personal taste). I tried a fruitier one - the Gigi - as my second and final drink. It was good but I'm just not a fruity drink person. I just wasn't equipped to handle another standard martini lol. The ambiance is phenomenal - it was both casual and comfortable yet classy. The crowd was much older than I expected although not in a bad way at all. There were lots of expats in their 50s and 60s. I was worried it would be a rowdy rooftop and by contrast it was actually a very chill vibe. Only complaint is that the bathroom is outside of the venue down the stairs and you need a key to enter, which was a bit annoying bc I wanted to use the restroom before I left and I forgot to ask for the key on my way out. Small annoyance and certainly wouldn't prevent me from going back.

You'll find people engaged in all sorts of activities ....eating, drinking, dancing, and socializing. Andale is the place to have a great time. Today, for some reason, the restaurants and bars on the street seemed less crowded. It was a Wednesday night when we finally stepped foot into Andale's. We ordered margaritas, shots of anejo tequila, and a beverage; we had already had dinner elsewhere. The DJ was playing a mix of 90s R&B, reggaeton, country, and pop music, and the whistle blowing from the staff added to the lively and exciting atmosphere. I must admit, though, the loud whistle blowing now and then annoyed me, I managed to drown it out somehow. If you plan to visit Andale, expect fun and lively atmosphere with plenty of staff ready to serve you.

During our cruise stop in Puerto Vallarta, we decided to have lunch at Andale's Restaurant & Bar…read more The main reason was to try their well-known Chile en Nogada and experience a local restaurant while we were in port. The restaurant itself was pleasant. Service was friendly, the atmosphere was lively, and it was a comfortable place to sit down, relax, and enjoy a meal. For visitors spending a few hours in town, it's an easy and convenient option. That said, after the meal, I felt the restaurant's biggest strengths were its location and atmosphere rather than the food itself. I specifically ordered the Chile en Nogada, which is considered one of their signature dishes. Presentation was beautiful: a large poblano pepper covered in a rich walnut sauce and topped with pomegranate seeds. It certainly looked impressive when it arrived at the table. The flavor, however, was not what I expected. The pepper was very soft and mild, with no heat at all. The filling combined meat, fruit, and spices, giving it a noticeable sweetness. The walnut sauce was thick, creamy, and nutty, but also surprisingly sweet. When everything came together in one bite, I tasted sweetness, savoriness, nuttiness, and the flavor of the pepper all at once. I can appreciate the complexity and understand why this dish is considered a traditional classic, but personally I struggled with the combination. As the meal went on, the sweetness became more prominent, and the dish started to feel like something caught between an entrée and a dessert. It wasn't bad--it just wasn't something I would order again. We also tried a few other Mexican dishes during the meal. They were perfectly acceptable, but nothing really stood out. The overall food quality felt average: not disappointing, but not memorable either. Throughout the meal, I couldn't shake the feeling that this was a restaurant designed primarily for visitors. The menu, atmosphere, and clientele all felt very tourist-oriented. For travelers looking for a convenient and comfortable place to eat, that may be exactly what they're looking for. But for those hoping to discover exceptional Mexican cuisine, I think there are probably better options in Puerto Vallarta.
