Stumbled upon this place during our walk. They have wine on happy hour, I believe they also had pina coladas and margaritas. I got some white wine which btw was amazing. I also did get a pina colada (not pictured) which my boyfriend took from me bc he loved it so much. I got some pasta and my bf got some steak. I got a few pieces from his steak and WOW was it good. This place has amazing entertainment (Freddie) and IF YOU CAN GET SERVICE the drinks and food are good too. We stopped in and met up with friends. Ordered a beer and a margarita. After awhile the beer came. Others ordered more drinks and they came but not the margarita. We asks about it and Jorge claimed we hadn't ordered one. It then came. We moved to a table after the others left and ordered soup and coconut shrimp. 10 minutes later our drinks were done. No one asked if we wanted more. 45 minutes later still no food. We asked where it was. 10 minutes later it came. No apologies, no discount, surly service from Jorge. Didn't get asked if we wanted another drink until the food came - 55 minutes after we first ordered. We suspect he forgot our food order too. When we told him we were not happy he said we could go next door next time. Good advice. read more

Excellent ceviche! Jorge is one of the best and proudest, nicest and most accommodating servers I've seen. The playa de Los muertos views and people passing by are fantastic. This is what vacation should be! It is pricey (but totally worth it for the views and quality) and their wine list is very short (and mostly cheap Chilean). This has been one our go to places while visiting PV. The waiters, waitresses and managers are always friendly and professional (Julian, Sophia, Abraham and Emilio). The music is good, the sunset view and the food is always delicious. Happy hour is 5-7 PM, long enough to enjoy the scene and sunset. read more

Wonderful location right on the beach - little run down indoors and beach area has some fairly dated furniture too. Service was an effort by the staff, but they seem a bit overwhelmed and unorganized. They brought wrong drinks and food at different points, never brought water glasses requested several times, and were delayed on other aspects. Always polite and friendly, but not the best experience The food was good - ceviches and other seafood dishes were fresh and well done, but not exceptional or much better than other places you can choose. Be prepared to also be over-run by people selling things to you while you eat. This is a bit expected though on any beach in the area Maybe a better spot for lunch than dinner. But would not go out of my way to go to this place - only if you happen to be near. Overall, okay. read more

We came here specifically for the red snapper and did not leave disappointed. Service was excellent. We called ahead to see if they had the red snapper and when we got to the restaurant without ever meeting us prior he said my friend..you called! Jorge (?!?) stayed consistent the entire visit which made it more of a personalized experience for us. Anyways, the snapper was amazing and I myself got a pasta with cream sauce and garlic bread served piping hot as well as a side of guacamole to go with the complimentary chips. The frozen strawberry margarita was the perfect addition to dinner. For a place on the beach/ or with beach views and a great price I'd recommend this restaurant. Our bill was only $18-ish USD. The only slightly annoying thing is the people on the beach constantly trying to sell you stuff but that's typical for this area and has nothing to do with the business directly. Possibly the best location in PV, beautiful view of the dock, great service, just fun and friendly and good food and good times. Apologies again to our server; my niece became ill and was doing very poorly at dinner; she was horrified that they would think that it was them. It wasn't. She was feeling bad on our way to dinner and went downhill fast. Langostinos was wonderful, my sister and I loved our food, and my niece did also until the sunburn and sleep deprivation and jetlag did her in. We stopped here for dessert and the music. The guitar player was simply amazing. The views were incredible. Will come back. We got a chocolate cake and some ice cream. If you like waiting 20 minutes after being seated to speak to a waiter; if you like to wait one hour after ordering food to have it served; if you like ear-splitting music blasting throughout dinner; if you like burnt black red snapper that is inedible; if you like rubbery vegetables; if you like overcooked mahi mahi that is dry and tasteless; if you like indifferent and hard to find waiters you will love Langostinos. When told and shown the red snapper was burned to a crisp on both sides the waiter said he would speak to someone. The response was that the fish was cooked on a grill and then the plates were taken away. No apology, no offering to serve something else and no offer to remove $800 pesos from the bill. We decided at that point to pay the bill and leave. We mistakenly left a $10 peso tip which enraged the waiter who shouted to us outside the restaurant to take our change back...the $10 pesos. "There is no tip? It wasn't my fault!" A regrettable experience. There are plenty of great restaurants in the area but we will never set foot in this place again. read more

This place is a health risk to eat at, stay clear. I'm not sure that I've ever had a worse restaurant experience. We should have left after the first drink was delivered but decided to be patient. The chips and guac came: this guac was large chunks of avocado with little taste and the chips were so stale that it cut my mouth. I asked for new chips and they threw a bag of equally stale tostadas on the table as they walked by. We ordered the chile relleno and fajitas. The oozing mess of a chile relleno came out soggy, half filled, and room temp. The beans on the side looked to have been sitting for the entire day. My ratings at langostinos are mostly for service and atmosphere. Arrived here for dinner, It is a really nice place right by malecon and the shore. It has a great view to the beach where you can enjoy sunsets and people watch. The staff was super attentive and friendly, the manager of langostinos catered to us and made us feel welcomed and even gave us some tequila shots on the house. The food was simply okay for me and did not cause a wow factor - I also felt was a little Bland for Mexican food. We ordered their popular chile relleno and I can say I was not impressed. They do however make changes to your order upon request and the portions are very generous. Family friendly and prompt service. This place is also tucked away from the outdoor vendors so it was nice and relaxing to eat there. read more

Came here in August of 2017, our last day stranded in Puerto Vallarta (best place to be) due to hurricane Harvey. The staff was very courteous and polite, red snapper was tasty and the music made you feel alive. Enjoying the tunes, food and beach view all at the same time; can't beat it. We have been to Langostinos a number of times in the past years. Sometimes service can be spotty (especially on holidays) but mostly it is very attentive and quick. Their breakfast is a total price performer and they do it very well. If you don't see the breakfast items that you want, they usually can do it special for you. This time we went for early dinner and sat at a very nice table to watch the sunset. We ordered the Chile Relleno ($8 USD) which was just delicious and filling. We also ordered the Xochilt chicken soup ($4.00 USD) with avocado, onions, rice and it too was so good! This is a great place to just watch the waterfront and sunset. They let you sit on the beach chairs with umbrellas all day if you want - just should order a drink or some food and they are really cool about it. Cool location but the worst meal we have had in Vallarta and we've been here to Vallarta 8 or 9 times. Of the 8 people we were with 4 of us were sick afterward. I got the verde shrimp and so did my wife and it was not very good quality. The server was way over worked and the busser ended up taking most of our drink orders. They were only at our table when they dropped off the food and drinks and that was it. Had to ask for napkins, got my drink wrong, and then ignoring us on top of that. Terrible. They actually had the audacity to confront us if we were going to give them a tip or not, and when we said no, another server came over to ask us why not. We said we didn't get any service only to be met yet again with so much rudeness. I highly recommend people to not go there. It's over priced for what it is anyways. read more

During our 5 day stay at the Casa Magna Marriott in Marina Vallarta, we did a ton of recommended tours and sightseeing. We stopped at Langostinos a few times along El Malecon boardwalk, as they had fresh, cold coconuts as a refreshment. It's located next to Los Muertos Pier, which is beautiful lit a purple and pink color in the evening. We had incredible views on the beach, as we sat and drank our fresh coconuts; there are many vendors who will try to sell you things, but just say no thanks and they'll be on their way.
