My area of study in graduate school for…read moreinternational relations focused on human rights, so I obviously already have a deep connection and thus am biased, but I think this is something every civilized human can appreciate. The monument itself is beautiful, both aesthetically and geometrically. I loved the inclusion of so many different languages which were fun to read in some instances or attempt to in others. Most importantly though, I love the celebration of the Idea. Do yourself a favor. Don't just walk through quickly taking pictures. Have a copy of the full UN version in whatever your native tongue, and really marinate on these beautiful, if for now idealistic, sentiments and bathe in the beauty. So incredible.
