I was excited when I saw it included was a children's museum (called Museum of Pedagogy), since I have a five-year-old in tow. Then, the weirdest thing happened. I would ask someone in the museum where the children's museum was (I showed them the words on my phone since I don't speak German) and they would ultimately point me to another end of the museum. So I'd go from one person to another to another, and ultimately ended up in circles. At one point, a staffer said, "This is a MUSEUM. We don't have kids stuff." I left frustrated and ultimately perplexed about the existence of this mysterious children's museum that was depicted on the maps and museum signs.

It took us less than 10 min to get to the top. The grounds where buzzing with tourists but even tho there where a lot of people it didn't feel crowded. We walked around the grounds for a while and I honestly couldn't get enough of the view! It is out of this world-- it is overlooking beautiful, historic Heidelberg and Neckar river!!! To get the whole experience we opted to tour the ruins and castle courtyard. The 11Euro to go inside the castle is totally worth it. The giant wine barrel in one part of the castle is insane-- it is so big that the is even a dance floor on top of it! Overall, an unforgettable experience and a must-see if you're in the area!

Only setback long line by the time you get to the castle you wasted 30 mins and you have to pay the fee. It was worth the steepest stair and cobble stone walk. The castle was well preserved. Beautiful color scheme of the old wall . Once your on top the entire view of Heidelberg was mesmerizing. Bring water and apply sunblock it was hot this month of visit.

The ticket I bought to get into the castle including entrance to this museum so why not? It's crazy to think how far pharmacology has gone in terms of regulation and distribution. In other words, instead of an alchemist just mixing concoctions in their shop, it's all about approvals from authoritative bodies and selling pre-bottled medicines.

You can spend decent amount of time here reading about alchemy and beginnings of pharmacy science. This is an interesting place to visit if you are in Heidelberg. It is the old student jail where…read morethey used to put students who had broken university, and also town, laws (the university was in charge of punishing students for their misdemeanours, unless they were of a very high charge). The incarcerated students spent their time covering the walls of their cells in graffiti, which has been well preserved. So when you enter now you can see the names the students gave each room, along with slogans scrawled on the walls and lots of amusing scenes.

Hermanshof is a hidden treasure in the middle of Weinheim. I like to go there with a book or my…read moredrawing pad and take a walk to get away from the city or to think. It's not a tradtional park where you can grill or have a party but a botanical garden where you can look at amazing species flowers and plants. Don't miss the wisteria trellis in Spring; it smells fantastic! There is no entrance fee and keep in mind no animals are allowed inside the garden.
