The teachers are fantastic and fun, patient and adapt to the student's needs. The class environment is very comfortable and they have classes at the rooftop patio!! I highly recommend "CAD Centro de Aprendizaje y Desarrollo" for anyone interested in learning how to speak Español. CAD es a toda madre!! Muchas gracias Daniela!!

Third, is Asiana Airlines is my go to for direct flights from LAX to Seoul. Then Seoul to Clark Philippines. Fourth, I want to be able to communicate with them when I'm in Korea. My lay over in Incheon, South Korea to LAX is almost 8 hours. I've been looking at this sign that reads, "Brilliant Foreign Language" in East Palomar St, Otay Ranch, Chula Vista. for the past year or so. Then, I finally had the courage to walk in their office and inquire about their program. There is a one time registration fee of $50 which includes the book, and $30/hour one on one lessons. If there are more than 2 students, you only pay $20/hour. The two staff who talked to me were very helpful and friendly. My Korean teacher is really nice. Her method of teaching is really good. If you're looking to learn another language, I strongly recommend this school.

My teacher Izak is exceptional and Lalo, the owner , is incredibly professional, responsive and he cares greatly about his business/students. There are always extracurricular events such as trips of nights out and it great to build a community and friendships. The model is to have only 4 students per teacher and this makes a huge difference, furthermore, there is a curriculum on which the class is based on. So we spend a portion of the class chatting, a portion learning and the third part is to practice what we just learned. I always feel like my spanish improves after every class and I cannot say the same for the other conversational based learning.

Through my conversation with Lalo, a lot of my anxiety immediately melted away. Once we were placed, we signed up for weekly classes based on our skill level and have had nothing but a positive experience. Our teacher is Andrea - she is charismatic, professional, and skillfully integrates on-the-fly lessons to our broader goals (i.e., when we are confused by a concept Andrea organically integrates it into our lesson and explains it in such a clear way). Everything we do is in Spanish - 45 minutes of conversation, then 45 minutes of lessons/activities/homework review. The Culture and Language Center has really helped cure so much of my speaking anxiety and given me a lot of confidence - now I feel safe to speak, play, and even make mistakes. :) I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this program to anyone. If you are on the fence, you won't regret this experience!

Paula is the best Spanish teacher I have ever had and I've experienced 6 throughout high school and university. She explains the logic (or lack of logic) behind grammar very clearly. I have had questions about estar/ser and the subjunctive that other teachers have told me I would just have to "feel out" that Paula directly answered for me. The subjunctive feels way less intimidating to me now. I like that she explains some things in English to insure that the basic principles are understood but still gets me to speak at length in Spanish. She starts every class asking about my week and my plans which gets me to learn very practical vocabulary and conversation skills. I feel really comfortable speaking with her in Spanish. The other day I appropriately used the past subjunctive when speaking with a client--"¿Quisieras un arbol de Navidad?" I was really proud and would not have been able to do so confidently if it hadn't been for Paula. I highly recommend you take her classes.

Cheap price, but you get what you pay for - ruined my hair and wasted my time…read more I normally pay $50 for a haircut from my regular barber, but with prices going up I thought I'd try this barber college since it's only $15 and the reviews mentioned supervisors always being present. Unfortunately, my experience was a total miss. First, the atmosphere is extremely loud - blasting hip-hop the entire time, which made it hard to communicate. The place is clean and the building looks nice from the outside, but it felt chaotic. Students and people hanging around were in oversized baggy clothes, and almost none of the students had sharp, well-groomed hair themselves (only one guy had a decent self-fade). That alone made me nervous. I got assigned to a student with 250 hours who genuinely seemed clueless about basic barbering terms. I asked for a classic taper with mid-length sideburns ("halfway down the ear"). He asked me about sideburns, I repeated "midpoint," and he immediately shaved them completely off and gave me fenders. Couldn't follow simple verbal instructions at all. He also didn't know what split ends were when I pointed them out. Multiple times he had to go find the supervisor, who was nowhere on the floor. We waited 5-10 minutes each time before the instructor finally appeared. The students seem to only know one style: high or mid fade finished with a hard razor lineup. If you want anything more traditional or natural (taper, no lineup, softer look), you're out of luck. I get that it's a school and the price is low, but there needs to be real supervision and students need to learn how to actually listen to clients and execute something other than the same "hood fade" on every head. I left looking worse than when I walked in and I'm still mad about the destroyed sideburns. Maybe some people only want that one specific urban fade and are fine with the vibe, but if you're looking for a clean, classic, or customizable haircut in a calm environment, spend the extra money and go to a real barber. I wanted to support a school, but I won't be back.
