This doctor is not for me. I'm sure he's helped some people but before I was even able to meet him…read moreor his staff, I was pretty much snubbed so here is a review of his office staff so far... I called Dr. Granese's office almost 2 weeks ago to discuss what insurance plans he accepted. I was recommended to him by my postpartum depression counselor and she assured me he would be able to provide proper care to me. Of course, I trusted her judgement as she is a professional. I called immediately after my last session. The woman who answered told me the doctor would call me back to talk to me about it. Why she couldn't tell me this? I don't know! A little over a week passed and no call. Called back and the same woman just said, "Well, he doesn't work Thursday's and he'll be making call backs tomorrow and Saturday." Weird... 'Okay, but it's been over a week' I said. She assured me that he'd call Friday or Saturday. Well, it's Sunday and no call!! What kind of "professional" doesn't call a person in need of help back? One that clearly doesn't care about his patients well being. And apparently he takes weeks to call back? So, thanks for saving me time and money by showing me what kind of 'care' you and your staff provide. This office clearly isn't organized to transfer messages and I'm NOT going to put my trust into a doctor who can't even call someone back... This could have been EXTREMELY devastating if it were a person who was severely unstable and needed to be seen soon. I needed to be seen but not urgently (although that doesn't mean my call isn't important). Mental health is extremely important and needs to be addressed with the same care and urgency as physical health. A doctor who really cares would make a better effort! Sounds like he's in it for the money from other reviews so I will be taking my money to another doctor!!!!

I can't help but also notice that the majority of her positive reviews are either fake accounts or her personal connections posting more than once.

My mom began seeing Brynn Bailey about 9 years ago after I took her to be evaluated and admitted to a psychiatric treatment facility in the hospital. She used to require my mom to see a therapist in order to keep prescribing heavy doses of medication. Unfortunately she quickly disregarded the requirement that my mom continue to see a therapist for talk therapy and still proceeded to keep her on very high doses of 4 medications without seeing her in person for over 5 years, (this started before the pandemic ). There is no collaboration with her medical doctors which is essential to improving someone with a serious mental health condition. It should be required that her patients should actively participate in their treatment especially with this level of mental health decline, my mom should be regularly seeing a therapist to help with her mental health struggles, not just being over medicated. My mother is elderly and now addicted to Klonopin prescribed on top of 3 other serious medications. Brynn Bailey has not physically seen my mom in over 5 years but continues to prescribe heavy doses of medication that has affected her quality of life! Her medical physician's have advised my mom to lower her dosage to help her with improving her health but she won't work on lowering her dosage and Brynn Bailey has not EVER been in contact with my mothers primary doctor who has been trying for years to get her to lower her dosages because her quality of life has drastically decreased, she sits in a chair all day because she is OVER medicated. Please take your loved ones to another doctor who will follow up with the patients medical physician as well as requiring them to see a therapist if they are in need of this level of medication. She sadly is giving out heavy medication after a 15-20 minute FaceTime call. It's too late for my mom her life is already being cut short praying this information helps others not to be affected the same way or any family member who is caring for their loved one to endure the difficult struggles or repercussions of Brynn Bailey's treatment plans!

A new client was allowed to touch and throw my possessions out of my bathroom cabinet. Obviously the exchange got heated and the next day I was discharged. Able to change only heard one side. Hers. I had been making good progress as a client of 2+ months w a total of 4 months sobriety. They took the word of a woman who had just been discharged from a mental facility over me - again - a client in good standing. My spineless therapist gave me the news and informed me that the decision was made and that I was not allowed a word in edgewise. I was told at 1pm that I had to be out a 3pm. They provided no help w regards to housing or continued medication. If I had not had the financial and friendship support, I would have been out on the street w no continued medical care. This should be illegal and actually the tenant laws of California supersede any contract you sign w a sober living or disreputable company like Able to Change. In earnest I could have stayed until I had secured housing and they would be able to do nothing about it. I could have stayed for another 30 days. Now on to my therapist. He mentioned sex repeatedly in our group sessions - Ick! AND he also maintained a really inappropriate relationship w another young client. They often exchanged txt messages outside of business hours and therapy sessions. I felt slimy just watching it. The Power dynamic alone was ever in his favor - gross. This therapist was in his late 40s and the female client was 22. Additionally one of the house managers would often forget to put our medication in the safe overnight - both dangerous and unethical. Ariel now "Ariel Gatewood," a female house manager at Able to Change would often have her fiance on the property and in her room when she assumed no clients were around. Additionally she "borrowed over $170 dollars from myself and my roommate that she has yet, and probably never will pay back. Ariel Gatewood has no business working in treatment whatsoever. She is dishonorable and she abandoned her job, stealing kitchen utensils and tinfoil in the process. She should not be allowed to continue to prey on our vulnerable demographic. Bottom line Able to change is disreputable and harmful to people with mental health and substance use disorder. Bottom Line:They shoot their wounded.
