Backfisch: Breaded and fried fish fillet with a nice golden brown crust. It was delicious and cooked perfectly. Schollenfillet: Grilled fish fillet. It was a lighter option than a deep-fried fish. Flaky and tender. Currywurst: Shared this at the table. Very tasty with a slightly sweet curry sauce. Highly recommended.

Freshness, simplicity & great taste made to order is how I would describe what they are doing at Schabis We all ordered the shrimp with sauce (Gambas aus der Pfanne). You get a salad with the entree. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the sauce (with a little spicy kick) was more like a rich, creamy soup that went nicely with the fresh bread. The potatoes on the side were very tasty also. Karo Fisch was better but also not great, Karo Fisch Fish and chips was more crunchy and we liked that more. However we felt that Schabi had fresher fish and grilled it better with less oil than karo Fisch.
