I am deeply concerned about the safety of the students at Landmark School. After a child tragically lost his life following bullying at this school, it is extremely disturbing to hear that fights and bullying continue to happen both inside and outside of school. Suspending students who repeatedly engage in serious bullying or physical fights does not seem like enough when the safety of other children is at risk. There needs to be stronger accountability and meaningful consequences for students who continue to put other students in danger. This is not simply about discipline or losing a school day. We are talking about the safety and lives of children. One child has already lost his life, and that should have been a wake-up call for everyone responsible for protecting these students. Parents should not have to wonder whether their children are going to be safe when they send them to school. I sincerely hope the school administration takes these concerns seriously, investigates repeated incidents thoroughly, and takes stronger action to prevent another tragedy. Children's safety should always come before enrollment numbers, money, or anything else. No student should have to be afraid to go to school. read more

I went to school there in the early 90s and I used to get beat up constantly even getting off at the wrong bus stop to try to run home from bullies. Looks like nothing has changed in almost 35 years, I wouldn't put my children in that school under penalty of death, those experiences still haunt me. The staff never helped. read more

I finished here for 7th grade and 8th. When it was 7th grade it was ok and wasn't good because there was a bunch of fights every 3 weeks on Wednesday or Friday and plus one teacher rarely teaches the class. Then when it was my 8th grade year "My Last Year" It was really great all of my teachers were really making me have a bunch of interest of them learning and also nice, kind, and intelligent. Overall, I give this school a 82/100 but for 7th and 8th i gives you this. 7th grade: 66/100 8th grade: 98.5/100. Do I recommend this school? maybe try this school for 8th grade because It was actually great!!! Lol read more

This school is the worst most atrocious atmosphere.The only satisfactory thing about this academic experience for my offspring is the food and even then it's hardly and bitterly even fit for human consumption. Followed by this is the worthless ,disgraceful, incompetent staff , they struggle to have knowledge regarding their own occupation, they can't even properly manage to lend a helping hand to scholars in need, when a scholar approaches a educator concerning a complication the educator hardly flickers an eyelid and neglects the subject at hand. to conclude another thing is racial discrimination, it is so unfavorable the scholars here have most certainly do not have any attentiveness for other scholars and will form the opinion established on a scholars Complexion. read more

They only support after something tragic happens, they need to take a proactive approach to issues on campus instead of a passive one. Three of my children attended Landmark between the years of 2016 and last week. My now 17 year old son was stabbed on campus by two predators in the 6th grade. Prior to his stabbing on 10/11/2016, he was bullied daily. He was threatened daily to wear red "or else". I reported to the principal that these boys were in a gang and beating up kids if they didn't wear red. Administrator (Camilla O'Connor), told me that she was from LA and their aren't any gangs in Moreno Valley!! He had his clothes and shoes stripped from his body in the locker room and his shoes stolen (replaced by Mr. Walker the head principal at the time) and made to walk home shoeless. I wrote complaint after complaint, even met with Dr. White, the superintendent at the time, who did nothing whatsoever. My son was stabbed on campus (by the same boys) before school started and Mrs. O'Connor (principal) informed me at 3:15pm on a voice message!! The administration continues to fail to inform us of what happens with our children and fail to protect our children at Landmark, even the new ones. Ms. Smith is the head principal now at Landmark. I had high hopes for her but she is more of the same like the past ones. She poorly assesses the severity in potentially dangerous situations. Her passive response to situations is why my son was assaulted on campus nearly two weeks ago. My son was attacked by two students that went around campus and told other students that they were going to jump my son before he even got to school, two Fridays ago. They attempted to jump him in the morning when he arrived and the principal, Ms. Smith brought the students in and told them to squash it. Warned them that if they did anything after that conversation, that they would suffer double the consequences. They already deserved a consequence for premeditating the assault, and making the attempt. However, she sent them back to class, even when one was resistant to what she said. They decided to ignore her warning and counseling and actually successfully "jumped" my 11 year old son in 6th period. The video was brutal to watch, I can only imagine how my son feels daily. These attackers are still current students and attend Landmark despite their actions. An email was sent around following the assault to inform parents and families but it doesn't even touch what actually happened. My son transferred to another school and it's over 8 miles from our home. I'm not complaining about the school change, transportation is being accommodated by the district. Which was requested by my child who does not feel safe on campus because administration can't protect him. They failed me twice. Administration can't be an easy role to have, especially at a school that is reminiscent of Eastside High from the movie Lean on Me. This school has instagram accounts made by students that announce fights and have knowledge of them before they happen. Instagram pages that spread hideous rumors about students, and even staff. You can look them up on Instagram at @landm_arkfights and @landmark_crustypeople.... and @landmark_shit_talk, thats just a few of several. This school is full of bullies and the administrators handle these matters very passively or in passing. Your kid is not a priority at Landmark. Their physical, mental, and emotional health is at risk while on campus. This will also effect your health as a parent as it has mine. Diego Stolz lost his life trying to defend himself on this very exact campus, under the same conditions. The only difference is that my son is still alive. This school should handle bullying and physical attacks more aggressively given the fact that two children lost their lives on this campus. I have lived in Moreno Valley for 33 years, so I remember. Do your research and weigh out your options. Think about what's best for your child because no one else will. Regretfully, a sad mother of three former Landmark students. read more

My son went to landmark finished 2021, and now vista de lago, my grandson is now there, school been with good teachers , and helped our son thru accepting tharapist going for my son. I think it depends on who they hang around. read more
