If I could give negative stars I absolutely would. Pathetic!! Liars!! Especially Steve. They said they would correct numerous things that they did incorrectly but NEVER DID! Our windows leak, cabinets have broken because they are so cheap, numerous electrical sockets don't work, wiring is bad because multiple brand new lightbulbs burn out every month, a piece of our garage broke off because it wasn't nailed in--safety issue, "hardwood" floor is so cheap is scratches and indents incredibly easily and is so slippery it's a safety issue, they didn't put studs in the wall where they should have so hanging items is very difficult, our "closet" isn't even deep enough to fit a hanger, our faucet broke right off, I could keep going. We tried contacting them numerous times but NEVER got a call back or anything fixed. Pathetic accountability. How the heck are they in business?! Our 4 neighbors have had issues also and also tried to contact them but never got a person or a call back either. So they take your money (charging for every since adjustment), do a HORRIBLE job and never do anything about it. Do NOT use these people. You will regret it. read more

I have sent 4 emails and left 4 phone request only to get no response. I have an issue with the wood flooring (gaps 1/4") that all I'm asking for is what my warranty is and nobody will responded. I'm not even asking them to do anything but give me what the warranty is. My home is 3 years old. read more

There are a lot of positive posts for Landis Reed on here. These were clearly done by people working for the company. I just closed on a house with LRH a few months ago and this was by far the worst experience I've ever gone through with a company!!! Since moving in the house in Cornelius, I've had numerous problems with the house that I've contacted Steve and Earle about and they have yet to respond. I sent a list of items a month ago and they have yet to respond. During the building process, there was nothing but lies and problems. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else to have your house built. Many of my neighbors have said the same thing as well. These guys are the worst business people I have ever come across. The fact that we were able to modify the plans for the house was really the selling point for us. Mark Hardy, the general foreman and Steve Brusko were both professional and addressed are concerns promptly. This was the first home we were building so we did not know a whole lot about the process. The home was initially listed on MLS as a packaged deal (home and land). We later found out that we would have to purchase the land from an outside individual. The land also perked for a 4 bedroom home but was listed as a 5 bedroom home. As a result, we were required to pay an extra $500.00 on rewritting the blue prints. We felt like LRH should have paid for this because they advertised incorrectly. Alot of the details were left out of the initial purchasing phase. Communication with Earl and Steve was poor. We had a difficult time getting in contact with them. On the other hand, the most positive part of this process was working with the contractor Mark. He was great. He understood that we were new to the process of constructing a new home and he was very patient and dependable. read more

Throughout the process, LRH was able and willing to make any and all changes we requested to the floor plan resulting in a custom home that we absolutely love!
