I came to NC from California to find my dream retirement home only to be snubbed and ignored my entire stay. I picked a hotel close to their office thinking it would be easy for travel to the various homes I had designated as "Like" thinking the "realtor" could show my wife and I homes. I made an honest mistake assuming I would be transported by the Megan to various sites but because of CoVid she stated I needed my own car. I took responsibility but that was it for her I was wasting her time!!! An associate named Jenny Martin, who was gracious and sweet guided us on her own time to 3 of the spots on my list. The problem was Megan did not screen any of the locations and we ended up in "tobacco road" homes completely unsuitable. Now I'm under the impression a good realtor would of screened these choices and gotten rid of undesirable homes since I'm from California and don't know NC " Location Location Location" Not Megan she did NOTHING!!. So first day wasted . The next day mind you have rented car thinking I would get some showings, she just sent me 2 open houses i had picked from my likes . No meeting her AT ALL!! Bright side I meet a wonderful agent at one of the open houses that went out of her way to show me some homes after her busy day showing at her open house. I text Megan after our final day of searching telling her thanks for nothing and got counter attacked saying I didn't want a realtor , I wanted a tour guide. I'm appalled by my treatment. DO NOT GIVE YOUR BUSINESS MEGAN RESTIVO.

We bought a home that was nearing the end of its life expectancy for the roof. There were a few…read moresmall leaks. We obtained four bids, all of which varied widely in cost and curiously in the estimate of materials needed. Based on some strong word-of-mouth recommendations, we went with Sunshine Construction, although they were not the cheapest bid of the bunch. These guys truly impressed me. When they began stripping the old roof, they encountered some surprise issues relating to the ridge vent that altered the work they planned to do. This change resulted in a price change in my favor. They arrived on time each day (it was a 6.5 day job). They tidied up each afternoon before leaving. No one was home on their final day, but I watched the security camera footage of a very meticulous cleanup process, and a final walk-around by the site foreman. The entire crew was courteous and professional. Thankfully they were also quite careful with my wife's shrubs. If their attentiveness to detail is any indicator, I expect the roof to perform well. From the ground it looks fantastic. I highly recommend them.

After almost 25 years on Lake Norman, my wife talked me into moving to a 55 and older, gated…read morecommunity about 10 miles away in Denver NC. My wife has been looking for almost a year. Originally we had thought we would probably eventually move to the Villages in Florida but she also looked at Bailey's Glen in Cornelius as well as Trilogy in Denver. We put our Condo on the Market in February and things started out fine but then we went under Covid Lockdown and that put a halt to all home sales unless the home was currently unoccupied. We moved in the Phase 1 of moving out from under Lockdown and while there were limitations, Realtors were able to start showing again. Got one low ball offer immediately which we ignored but a week later, we got a serious offer which we negotiated to a fair price close to the original asking price. With contract in hand, last Saturday we went over and toured 4 different models that Susan liked. Christi was a fantastic agent for Shea Homes. Narrowed it down to two homes and Susan chose the Independence Model and we signed a contract on it. Tentatively closing is set for next month and we are looking forward to it. Susan is looking forward to it and has gone over several times measuring and planning. Last Friday her Son and Daughter-in-Law went over and got a chance to at least see the pool and tennis court plus some of the Club House. Thumbs up to all.
