I will say the east side of the mall parking lot is nightmare fuel. It's too condensed and the whole lot lacks any real flow. Tread cautiously. The west side of the mall is more my jam as you can pop into Gary Gribble's Running Store, Starbucks, and a handful of other good spots with relative ease. It still has that weird, echoey mall vibe when you're in the heart of it, but it's not quite as massive as some other malls that are now memories.

The new "frictionless" parking system is an obnoxious data grab, irritating to set up (I do not want to make an account for every place I park), and impossible for people who choose not to have a smartphone on them at all times (me). :) I'm sure it cost a lot to implement, but every person I've talked to has also found it frustrating. Will be ice skating elsewhere from now on and choosing alternative parking from the crown center garages whenever possible.

The restaurants have varieties like bbq, pizza and sandwiches. Sheridan's frozen custard is a really popular ice cream store. It is also connected to Westin hotel via passageway. I did struggle a bit the signs and directions. There were not clear in some corners. Security personnel are available throughout the plaza, we took some direction help from them. But overall it's a prime spot in KC.

They also turn the pavilion area into an ice rink in the winter, and there are some good spots to eat in here as well. In Independence, where I live and used to work, none of those stores are even on the same road. But there are some big issues with the roads. The parking lot makes no sense and it definitely sucks trying to find a spot without getting honked at or losing your temper. The center earns some bonus points by implementing special routes during holidays that prevent bottlenecks. There are also a lot of bumps in the road (literal bumps that force drivers to slow way down) that aren't meant to be there, and driving over them always makes me nervous for my car. But once you manage to park the car and actually start shopping, this is a pretty great shopping center.
