My husband had the schnitzel and loved it. We all had the escargot that was delicious. I had the local special (first one on the menu) that translates to eel. It was marinated or "cooked" like ceviche is made point is it's not fried/baked etc and more like sushi consistency with sour cream based salad on top and yummy fried potatoes. It's wasn't fishy and I loved it. It's he nearer dish in the pic. One app, one beer, water and entrees was 43.60euros. If we're back in Bremen we'd go back.

I found this place on Yelp and was happy to know it was just a short walk from the hotel we had…read morebooked. It looked like the reviews were good from both tourists and locals alike, so I figured we should check it out. My German half-brother-in-law and I both ordered the Schnitzel, and he actually said it was very well done and one of the best ones he's ever had, which I think says a lot!! My husband got the pork knuckle which was really just way too much food, but he enjoyed it thoroughly. The servers were very kind and helpful, and although we sat outside because the weather was nice and there was no air-conditioning indoors, I got to walk through the restaurant to access the salad bar and was surprised to see how nicely decorated it was inside. I definitely considered coming back for a second day in a row and definitely would have if we had stayed for longer!

Review of the hotel:…read more We stayed at the hotel for a week in December 2025. While I love the excellent restaurant, the hotel was much less impressive and is totally overpriced at around Euro 200 per night for one of the apartments. When we arrived the apartment was freezing cold, and it took a day for the temperature to be bearable. No additional blankets were available, either. There were some plumbing issues, which resulted in water building up in the shower tub while taking a shower, the bedroom door handle came off multiple times, we couldn't find any detergent for the dishwasher and the washing machine. The washing machine was very difficult to operate. The dishwasher was extremely noisy. The owners also didn't honor the booked price and upcharged us 30% for bringing our two kids who were already included in the booked price. The list goes on. I would recommend to stay somewhere else.
