After spending thousands of dollars on our car purchase, they told us we would receive our first oil change for free. After dropping it off and having the work done, they say you have to have "Ford points ". Never did the dealer mention this, all that was said " your first oil change is on us" then sent us on our way. An app was never mentioned until checkout. So beware when the salesperson says something is on them... just go to another business and not the dealership. Not that we mind paying for services, we just expected what we were told. Why does an oil change at a car dealership take so long. This is why dealerships constantly lose service business. Unless, it's a warranty/recall issue it's terrible. You would think the service department could find a way to prioritize customers waiting over those customers who got a shuttle or a rental for the day. An oil change at jiffy lube, or the like, takes 30 minutes max. I've been waiting now for over 3 hours. They know I am here. This is insanity. read more

Moved here 6 months ago and have tried 3 times to get an oil change. Answer's always the same...may be able to get to you in 4 hours. Today I actually had a service issue, but no way they can see me today. I asked if they were renovating or expanding, but alas that's not the case. On a clutch repair , they installed a $1200 clutch in backwards. So after it starts failing a little less than 5 min off the lot, i turnthe car around. I then contacted Scott Whittington who was supposed to "take good care of me" a service salesman at Landers Ford of Collierville TN, 38017 I was forced to leave the car with them. it took me over 2 months to get the car out of the shop, when they had to repair the vehicle a second time at my expense. i owe rental car fees upwards of $500 and both repairs cost me roughly $4000 i will tell anyone to avoid this dealership like the plauge. read more

The wait for my recall adjustment was not long at all-just enough time to return a few emails & set up some new appointments for my work week. I have a relatively new SUV, still under warranty. Took the vehicle in for evaluation and that's where the disappointment started. I tried over 12 times, each time to get someone in the service department to answer their phone. I asked the phone operator about the lack of customer service and was told she would walk my message back to the service department, but still no return call. The next step was to leave a message on the GM's voicemail. I did receive two calls the following morning, one saying he would find out about the status of my vehicle and another, 15 minutes later by a different gentleman offering a service appointment the following week (keep in mind, my car was already in their shop and computer system for 48 hours at this point). Neither of these conversations were followed up and eventually I went to the dealership to find out directly. My car had been looked at and one issue resolved, however the second was still pending and I decided to get the vehicle out of Landers and find a shop that I felt more comfortable with and showed they care about their product and customer. Purchasing my car was fine although I got a low trade-in value for my previous Ford Escape. The Quick Lane moves extremely slow but I have not had any concerns about the services provided there. Unfortunately, working with customer service is horrible. No one calls back and they do not follow through. It has taken months trying to resolve an issue that should have only taken a few days. I've left messages for the supervisors and General Manager but no response or follow through. I strongly recommend purchasing your vehicle somewhere else. read more

Second time I've had the same part break ,and it has been EXTREMELY poor customer service both times. They also ruined my chargers while fixing the radio. On today, August 10, 2017 I went to Landers Ford Collierville, TN to have my 2017 F-150 tires check for shaking issues. The vehicle has been defective since I purchased it on July 31, 2017. The Landers Ford service advisor refuse to document everything they did to my truck. I went to talk to the service manager, Robert Johnson. I began to tell him about the paperwork not having all the service information. I told him that the Ford Motor Company wanted this information well documented due to a buyback Lemon Law issue with the truck. Robert Johnson became angry and he took my key and stack of papers and push them violently against my chest, injuring me. He then said, "Get off my property." He then dropped my key and the papers on the floor and expected me to pick them off the floor. He got in my face like he was going to hit me with his fist. I shouted for someone in the dealership to help me. None of the other employees tried to help me or stop him from assaulting me. I left and call the police. The police took a report. I went to the emergency room where I was treated for the assault and injuries. Robert Johnson, service manager is a criminal and abuser of Women. read more

I own a 2016 Ford Edge Sport which I purchased new in 2017 from Lander's Ford in Collierville, TN. All scheduled maintenances and recalls were performed in a timely manner at Landers Ford in Collierville, TN. My last oil change was in February 2018 with mileage around 9600 miles still 1000 miles from my next recommended oil change. I was in route from Collierville to Oxford, Ms on August 2, 2018 when I noted the "check oil pressure" light briefly alerting me. It only stayed on for a few seconds. It again alerted me when I arrived in Oxford. I checked the oil level myself and the oil was not even touching the dip stick. I immediately took my vehicle to the nearest dealership (Belk Ford in Oxford, MS-less than a mile). In route, I called to Landers Ford and spoke with David Craine. I explained the issue I was having with my Edge and his response was "And what do you want me to do about it?". He offered me no assistance. On arrival at Belk Ford, I was warmly greeted by Salesman, Cameron Halbert, who asked how he could help me. He immediately spoke with the Service Manager, Pam, who promptly had her service team check my auto for leaks, (noting none) and added 5 1/2 quarts of oil. Pam recommended taking my auto to Landers-Collierville, TN for them to further investigate oil consumption. Cameron, Pam, Steven, and service staff at Belk Ford in Oxford, Ms went above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service even when I had never purchased a vehicle from this dealership. Long story short-I took my auto to Landers Ford in Collierville, TN, Aug 2 in the afternoon, ended up speaking with three (3) different service managers (Bill Austin, David Crane, Robert Johnson) up to the general manager (Don Kitchens) that assured me they would begin maintenance on my vehicle to determine why my vehicle was consuming oil. I had to return with my auto on Aug 3 in pm due to dealership not having loner vehicle available on Aug 2--After a week with no one returning my calls, or updating me on the progress of my vehicle maintenance, Aug 11, I went to the dealership in person to discover maintenance had never been initiated. So, needless to say, I asked for my keys after no response from Robert Johnson as to why maintenance had not started, nor having my calls returned or updates. If considering purchasing a new or used Ford, seek out another Ford dealership other than Landers Ford in Collierville, Tn. The current management of the Service Department was rude and has no concept of the true meaning of Customer Care/Service. read more

I was the 4 th person in line for an oil change. Two others came up as we waited for them to open the doors (at 7:08a.m.). They stated that they were 5th and 6th in line. After waiting for 45 minutes inside they pulled the two patrons vehicles in and changed their oil before me. An hour later my vehicle was finished. They were unable to identify an obvious problem with my Explorer, they were far from punctual with fixing it once I told them the issue, and then attempted to overcharge me when they had finally completed the job! First visit to the Service department with a 7:00 AM appointment ended at 11:00 when I asked for an update and my truck had not even been dispatched to a technician. I was livid so I got my keys and left. Second visit, dropped off my truck at 7:30 AM. Started trying to get updates at 2:00 and couldn't get anyone to answer or call me back. Finally got my truck at 5:00 and was offered nothing for all my inconveniences on either visit other than the managers name. Why call a manager that is obviously more concerned about President's Awards hanging on the wall than good customer service? Ford definitely needs to re-evaluate the criteria for these awards. I've owned 6 Ford vehicles and will continue to buy them but not from Landers. read more

I made an appointment on line to have a oil change done on a Saturday and received an e-mail confirmation. When my husband arrived for the scheduled appointment, he was told that they do not accept Saturday appointments but IT hadn't fixed the system to not allow people to schedule appointments. He was told that he could wait but it would be at least 2 hours since there were 5 people before him. He took the car down the road to Jiffy Lube and was done in 30 minutes. No one tried to call or e-mail before the appointment to let us know it would not be honored. I e-mailed the service manager Robert Johnson about the situation and have heard nothing in response. Clearly customer service at this dealership is not important. Do not come to this place; you will be disappointed. read more

Landers is great at selling cars. Very pleasant to work with. The service department is a nightmare!! This has only been the last 2 years that it has been so frustrating. I seem to get the runaround. I probably should have kept notes on my experiences. I noticed that the leather seat had been cut with what looked like a box cutter when they cut the plastic off of the new seats. Before the 30,000 mi bumper to bumper expired, I asked for the repair to be done. John sent in pictures and had the work approved. He left me a message to call back and schedule an appointment so that I could get a loaner car. I called back to make an appointment and he did not return my phone call for 2 weeks!! I called back, had to leave another message- two more weeks passed- no returned phone call. I was driving by and decided to stop in and make an appointment- all was accomplished. Show up for my appointment and was told by John that they could not get to it anytime soon!! Then John smirks and says "when would you like to bring it back?" --I could feel my face turn hot and red! I held my composure and asked him "well, when would YOU like to work on my car?" I already had an appointment and had been told that there would be NO loaner car- I had rearranged my schedule AND my self employed husband's schedule!!! We have since had the work done- and I did have a loaner car. I let my husband take my car in and let him deal with John. This my first problem with John, he seems to be arrogant and not kind to women. I did go to pick my car up and was directed the cashier. When I questioned the $100 charge I was told that it was the deductible. I came home and looked in my warranty book and found out that I was not supposed to pay a deductible. My husband went to Landers and questioned John. He blew it off and made some comment about he did not know who put that charge on our bill. IT WAS HIM!! My father is retired from one of the big 3 auto makers (not Ford) and we can get good discounts on cars. We switched to Ford because of Landers close proximity to our house and at that time the closest Chrysler dealership was Wolfchase. Landers will not get my business when it is time for me to buy a new car!!! read more

Approximately one year ago, we purchased a used Ford Focus for our daughter. There is a design flaw with this car that Ford has issued a recall for. This design flaw causes the engine to perceive that the gas tank is empty when it is not, which causes the car to not start. In April we took the car to Landers for this to be fixed. Our daughter has a small child so we did not want the car being inoperable while they were out. To make a long story short, in April Landers "fixed" the problem. Two weeks ago the car started doing the same thing. We took it back to Landers and their response was they had already fixed the problem. Well, obviously not if the car is doing the same thing all over again. That's not a fix. That's a sham. So we have to pay Landers $359 to fix a problem that they had supposedly already "fixed". We called the corporate offices and when we finally were able to speak with someone we got the same song and dance. Ford knew this was flawed when they produced this vehicle. Since Ford designed this vehicle with a flaw, they should fix it as often as this issue occurs. There is nothing that we can do to cause this issue to occur, so why do we have to pay to have it corrected. The first "fix" we were not charged for but the second "fix" which is probably the only time the issue was corrected, caused us $359. Not only will I not ever buy a car from Lander Ford, I will never buy another Ford. If this is their business model, all I can say is Buyer beware! read more

I finally went back up a week later and they told me they ordered a part which should be there within a day. I asked them to keep me in the loop. A week later I can't get anyone to give me an answer except "we don't know" I have been without car for 2 weeks and they wont return my call, they don't tell you anything or give any kind of insight and refuse to keep you updated. I sold vehicle for Ford for roughly 14 months and this would have been grounds for termination where I was. Worst customer service and professionalism I have encountered. read more

We are new to area. So naturally we took our Escape to Landers as it is close to our neighborhood. Let me just say, this is the WORST service department I have ever experienced at any Ford dealership, on national level! When I bring the vehicle in for service, they have it for several days. The car had an oil change - when does that take 2 days?! And lately it seems that we are bringing the vehicle in for more and more unusual problems. I feel I constantly have to argue with them for things that are covered under warranty. If my husband calls to make an appointment, they get him in the next day. If I make the appointment, maybe they can make room for the vehicle middle of next week. Maybe they are different with their more local customer base, but so far our experience has been nothing but ridiculous! read more

I bought a car from landers years ago and traded it in Florida for a truck. I took the truck to landers last year when I moved back to town and they told me they would fix a squeaky belt in it. Later that day I called and they told me they were still working on it. The NEXT DAY I pulled into the dealership and asked how my truck was looking and they said it was still getting worked on. I walked back to the back lot and saw my truck sitting untouched in the parking lot. They had it for 30 hours and did nothing to it. I decided to take my car to another dealership who fixed it that same day. Fast forward to this week where I took my truck for a quick oil change and tire rotation at the quick lane. I knew my brakes were bad and they informed me the brakes were so bad they had ruined the rotors. As the service tech behind the counter told me they could fix it he showed me a paper that had 2 numbers on it. Those numbers were 179 and 150. I asked him how much it would cost to fix and he said 300 so I asked how long and he told me about 45 mine. 45 mine later he says it's done and shows me the bill and it's $590. I asked where the extra 150 came from since oil changes are usually about $40 and the total he gave me for the extra repairs were 300. I expected some extreme labor charge but not 250 more than quoted. He told me the rotors themselves were 300 and I said he didn't tell me that or show me that and he saintly said oh I'm sorry I need to explain it better next time. I told him had I known the cost would be almost $600 i wouldn't have done the repairs that day and he said "Sorry, but at least it's fixed." The worst part of the experience is this is exactly what happened to my brother the year before where he went in for something that was quoted at a few hundred and ended up costing well over double the cost. I won't be coming back to the dealership because this seems to be a trend of how the service and quick lane operate. I advise everyone to go somewhere else for service. read more

Had my 20009 F150 in for repair last week where they replaced the ABS module/assmby which went out 3 mos after my ESP plan timed out. Pretty expensive repair.This was completed after a few days as they had to order the part. The brakes never did malfunction but the ABS was not functioning and the warning lights are obnoxious. The repair seems to be ok, although the pedal goes further to the floor than before, but... now there is a clunking sound near the shift leaver in the console when the brake is applied lightly that was not there before I took it in. I will be bringing it back to them as soon as I can. Everyone at the dealership is very nice, personable and professional. read more

I took my Focus ST in for a recall campaign on a Thursday, it was ready on Friday and picked it up on Saturday. The service adviser was very nice and attentive. The car was delivered to me promptly. The bad part follows. The recall was to replace/splice an electrical engine harness. My receipt said the mileage in and out was 16975, but it was delivered to me with 16981, and no where did it say that car was road tested. That means the car was driven 6 miles by somebody. The driver's side carpet and rocker panel were dirty with footprints. The car was delivered dirtier than brought in. This has happened to me before at this dealership. I'm not sure if it was taken out for a joyride, a test drive or to lunch. Anyway, I consider it very unethical and undermines my confidence in Landers Ford in Collierville, TN. read more

I am very disappointed in Landers ford service dept. I carried my vehicle in to have some wires fix that a mouse chewed into. The estimate came back in at $1500 plus tax. The said i had to have a completely new intake because mouse ate a hole in the intake manifold also. They also told me it was leaking water onto the #5 spark plug and it was causing the truck to run bad and misfire on that cylinder. I know a lot about cars and new that none of this was true and was a complete falsehood, I declined to have them fix my truck. I also waited 4 days to get this false information. I paid $126 to get my truck back. I took it to another very reputable auto repair shop in Collierville Tn. and they fixed my truck in 2 days and the bill was $220. This is the second time that landers ford has tried to get me to pay for repairs on my vehicle that were totally not needed. This make me wonder about the entire dealership. I wish some one at the dealership would call me about this situation. If I could rate them a negative number I would. Terrible!!! experience. read more

The service and staff were excellent. I still do not feel that my truck issues were solved or fixed. My truck has a "Death Wobble" that I feel is an engineering flaw from Ford. It makes the truck very dangerous to drive. Ford has refused to take responsibility for it and to try to have it fixed at the dealer has now cost me thousands of dollars. This is very disappointing as I have always been a loyal Ford fan. We will most likely get rid of the truck and buy a competitors product. I currently drive a F-350 Super Duty Dully and really want to love it, but just do not have confidence in it, especially when towing a large trailer or camper. read more
