This park is a great place to explore with kids. The historical mine tour looked cool, but I wasn't sure how my four-year-old would do so we skipped it this time. But the park itself is a great place to walk around, with big mining equipment from several eras spread around, restaurants in repurposed historical buildings, walking trails through the forest, a "mini-zoo" with a couple goats, and a small zip line. There's a huge parking lot, and it can be reached easily by bus with a short walk. read more
