Great personality and isn't trying to lecture you or upsell any products or packages. I'm 5'4" and he's a little taller than me, but he is the most effective when he adjusts me. I've had doctors who were 6'3" who would hurt me and I still wouldn't adjust. Yes, you may be a little sore, but more than likely, whatever he adjusted, your body had been been out of "whack" for a while, was trying to compensate, and now it's aligned correctly and the muscles are getting used to it. I've been going to see him for about 15+ years, and I don't think he's ever raised his prices. I live in Hawaii and on average, you're paying about $65-80/visit and I can see him twice and still don't pay as much AND he can get everything on me to adjust. Majority of chiropractors who have worked on me cannot get my lower back to adjust, and he always gets the job done! If you want a treatment plan and someone lecturing you on your diet and posture, telling you to do certain exercises, etc, etc, don't go see him. If you want a non-hostile environment, where you can walk in and be seen without waiting more than 10-15 mins, get a good laugh and feel better, this is the place to go! I can't say enough about the man (his wife is the receptionist and she's the nicest!!!), and as you can tell, he is my absolute favorite!

Within a month, my migraines had stopped completely, I slept better, and I actually 'grew' an inch or so just from my spine and neck being straightened. After that summer, I moved away to college, got a job, and lived in various places for 18 years. Well I'm 36 now and my spine has degenerated over the years, resulting in poor sleep, terrible posture, and lots of pain. Occasionally, I would try other chiropractors to help out, but always felt like it was just a waste of my time and money. Well recently I have returned to the area and was ecstatic to find that Jim was still practicing here. The way they treat you at elevation health is like nowhere else. They legitimately want you to HEAL, not just crack your back and send you on your way. His methods are advanced and the staff will teach you what to do in order to get well. After just a few sessions, I am already sleeping and feeling 10x better. If you have any kind of back, neck, or pain problems in general, talk to them! If you are an overall healthy individual I would say this place would be decent but here is my experience. After my physical I had a follow up and prior to this we reviewed my medical records and medication. I reached out to Dr.Nguyen for help with anxiety, PPD, PPA, Adult ADHD & what I thought was depression (mind you all of my records w medications I was taking and had taken in the past). She prescribed me allergy meds for CRIPPLING anxiety , Allergy meds for appetite stimulant and some random antidepressant. Now I'm aware that she isn't a specialist in mental health but at the very least try and explore and help me instead of pumping antihistamines into my system (that didn't work by the way). That's not the worst event though . My records state that I take a control substance at a very low dosage , with her being my new physician I let her know so I can get a new script. As I'm discussing the treatment I needed she basically stopped me mid sentence and told me in order to prescribe any controlled substance in the state of Texas I would need to be drug tested to receive a refill (mind you my records show that I've never had an issue w controlled substance I've been prescribed the same medicine at the same dosage for almost 10 years. Now if I hadn't gone to doctors in Texas before I probably wouldn't have felt the way I did (never had a drug test for any prescription I've gotten thus far), but it's something about being a black young woman that made that comment and her attitude feel a bit racist. After a sit down w my lawyers it is Texas law and I get that. I haven't had this issue in the past but the allergy meds + the drug test felt odd. Only one-in-three African Americans actually receive adequate help for mental health issues & doctors like her are the reason. Nothing she prescribed me was evidence based for the issues I was facing and if she couldn't handle it she should've recommended I seen a specialist. A week after the allergy drugs I was prescribed i was hospitalized for my mental health and it was interesting to see the hospitals face when I gave them my course of treatment from Dr. Nguyen in full detail. After this I called and immediately asked for DPC to send my records to a new facility & lucky enough they refunded my membership. It took them over a month to finally get my records to my new doctor and they only sent my small file of records from their office but mind you they had my records prior and apparently don't send those and that's fine but inconvenient given all the treatments she gave me were awful . Not to mention she never asked any additional questions about my depression & guess what it wasn't even depression but much more severe. Imagine paying a membership fee for allergy pills and a doctor that just wants to push expensive medical grade skin care. Anyways , if you are diverse and have mental health issues go see someone who makes you feel comfortable, seen & safe. With my following and large influence in the DFW area I will continue to advocate for people like me to see qualified healthcare professionals for their needs.
