I waited five months to see her, so needless to day, I was expecting to be blown away. Many of the things she told me seemed to be blanket statements (stubborn, marry engineer, good heart, travel a lot, new car next year, don't lend people money, etc) The things she told me were... okay, I guess. I want to start by saying that I've been to Lan at least a handful of times in the last 30 years. What has always drawn me back is her ability to see things I never saw coming. Each time something would occur in my life that I didn't "will" to happen or plan for, that she said was going to, has been "mind blowing"....to say the least. There's things in my life I swore I'd never do, such as open another business or purchase a large property in another state, and then many years later, long after these purchases were made, I'd realize that she predicted that I would. I should also add that I'm not a risk taker, my husband is, and with any great partnership, it requires support and compromise. Lan Vo has an amazing gift. I have gone to see her for the first time back in the late 80's and have seen her over the years, I think last in 2018. I had a friend who was ill and he needed someone to take him there. He told me how he heard that she was a very good psychic. At that time, she was at a home in Kaimuki. My friend said I should go see her first but I told him I really didn't believe in psychics and I actually was there to support him. Well, I did go in to see her. She told me many things in my past life that how would this woman ever know about. I was going through a divorce at the time and she mentioned the divorce and how many children from this marriage to the point of knowing one child's name and the other's first initial of their name. She said I would get married again and I said no don't plan on getting married again. I was in a dating relationship shortly after which she told me to get out of that relationship, was not good (on my second visit about a year later). And mentioned again I would marry again, as well as the name of my future bride, which turned out to be my second wife's middle name. A few years later, I married my second wife. I agree. Lan Vo is great. I won't say amazing since she missed a few things, but as we shape our own "destiny", I can't say she's wrong. My mother pulled me out of school to go see her as a walk-in to decide if college in the mainland was right for me.7:45 I get to school, by 8:15 I'm out the door. So I'm dressed up in my uniform and go to her home on the Pali where my mother's been coaching me and telling me about who she is, how she preaches herself, and how she conducts herself too. BTW listen well since her English isn't that great. But if you're a walk-in, prepare to wait; her receptionist told me some people wait all day and still cannot get a meeting with her. So as you meet her, she sits you down and will give you a pack of cards to shuffle and asks you to pick two cards. From those two she bases the reading. I'm amazed and what she knew without me asking; and the fact that her past is 10000000% accurate and the present was spot on, she made me a believer. Like I had mentioned above, the future was a bit bleak but maybe I had to have heeded that advice for that to come true as well. I was $75.00 for a half hour reading. My aunt also came with me that day, and out of the goodness of Lan Vo's heart she took my aunt for free. Lan Vo is my homie. Believer or not, she will blow your mind! She told me various things about myself, my mother, and my grandmother that I didn't know, and all in great detail. For example, she described 2 rings that my mother has that my grandmother (who passed away) wants me to have. She said one was an emerald with a diamond on each side, and one is a blue stone with diamonds all around it. I later called my mother, and it turns out she did have those rings. Apparently, my grandmother is ring-obsessed, because she also wanted to know why I took off the diamond ring I usually wear on my middle finger. She mentioned a detail about my mother that was completely unbelievable, that I didn't think happened to her...when I asked my mother about that, she told me it was true. Craziness. Among other random details...she told me to wear more sunblock on the 2 inch band on my lower back that's overexposed. I wasn't wearing anything that would show that, but I was much more tan in that area since I always wore a rash guard to paddle in. She knew about the flight I was taking, and told me the plane would have a 45 minute delay. It did. Exactly 45 minutes. When I went to the airport, it said it was on time. I thought, eh, Lan don't know everything. Got on the plane. Good to go. Aaaaand weeee wait. 10 minutes later the pilot comes on and says there's a problem with someone's luggage, and it should only be a 10 minute delay. I was hesitant to write this review but here goes... Late last year some of my coworkers couldn't believe that I'd never been to a psychic, so I thought I'd give it a shot for entertainment purposes. Everyone swore she was the best in town, celebrities go to her, etc.... I made an appointment 3 months out. The first surprising thing was seeing a major network tv star leaving as I was walking in. There were about 20 people camped out in a living room/waiting room taking a chance on getting a walk-in appointment. Lan had a thick Vietnamese accent and parts were quite difficult to understand, which I think adds to her allure with believers. I sat down and she basically just started riffing. She'd state a fact and then I'd tell her if she was right or wrong. I purposely didn't ask her any questions. Misses: - my age (thought I was 5 years younger) - my residence (she thought I was a tourist) - my parents' initials/first names - my occupation - my marital status - my financial situation - my general health - # of kids (I have none) - that I'd just gotten back from a friend's wedding (I haven't been to a wedding since 2008) Hits: - my sister's first name (not a common name) and occupation - the name and information about guy I was entangled with at the time To be seen: - a bunch of vague generic stuff that isn't even worth repeating (that I'll travel and be happy - that kind of stuff) - she predicted that I will get married in 2011 after a short engagement - I will end up working for the government - I will have a breast cancer scare - I will someday live in a house by both the ocean and mountains and will have a maid So, it was pretty much exactly like I expected - a very high inaccuracy rate that most people would ignore due to the few hits. Don't judge me alright?! I've been to Lan a million times already. Okay not a million times, but a couple ok? I've even waited with friends to see her, all of which are grateful I brought them because she either gave them hope, or told them they need to change their ways because she sees bad things happening to them. The first time I went was a couple of years ago. We were all obsessed about knowing our futures, tried out all these other psychic stuff, and finally decided we'll splurge on going to see Lan. I never made an appointment. All times were walk-ins, so of course you see everyone waiting and try to make conversation. I've talked to people who've seen her years beforehand and they said she was about 80% accurate. 80% for a psychic? That's hella good in my book, especially since I've been to other psychics and they were all 0%. So far, what she's told me so far has happened. The only stuff that hasn't happened were things she told me would happen when I'm older. Since I'm moving soon my mom decided she wanted to see Lan again and brought me with her. I feared going to see her again because I know I shouldn't base my life on what a psychic has told me, but I've been living believing that Lan's predictions are pretty accurate and just may come true. If I went again and she told me completely different things I would have been devastated! Or even worse, tell me that my move will be the biggest mistake of my life! Anyway, we tried to walk in and kind of got there a little late so there were two appointments and 4 people ahead of us before we signed in. I was like, GREAT. I told my mom if we don't get in before 11 we are leaving! To my astonishment, my mom got in around 10 and I got in around 1020. So here's how it went: She greets me (she looks exactly the same as she did a couple of years ago) does this lady age?! She tells me to split the deck and then just starts talking to me, telling things she knew about me, what I was doing, what was to come with my future. She kept on rambling on that I didn't even realize that she picked my cards for me. The other times I had to choose them myself. To my relief she pretty much told me the same things she told me at previous appointments, just now they are not so far off in the distance. She knew I was moving and reassured me that I'd be okay and it would be good for me, hard at first but I'll get with it eventually. She even told me, "Who die? He wants me to tell you he love you." (Which was my dad, whom she predicted in a past appointment that he was going to die about a year from then.) This time though, the session was pretty brief. In the past I felt I was in her room for at least half an hour, now I think it was only ten minutes! So my advice is, try to get the earliest appointment you can get AND make sure you have questions ready! Make use of that $100! Her prices keep on going up and up. I overheard the receptionist taking phone calls and there were no appointments available until two months ahead, and I think the person wanted an early appointment so the next available was three months ahead! So if you even have an inkling of wanting to see her but aren't in a rush, book it now! Even if you're not sure if you really want to see her, do it! Who knows what'll happen in a few months? You'll be wishing you made the appointment months ago. Be prepared to wait all day if you don't! She also told me next time I come she'll help me out, so apparently I'm going again. AHH addicted I guess, but that'll be after my next milestone in life hopefully. Which will be when I'm planning on getting married and having kids. Ohhh, and sometimes she is hard to understand. So make sure you clarify and maybe go practice talking to the Vietnamese ladies at the nail salons. Lan: "You lucky, you loo 25." Me: "Oh I look 25? Thank you." Lan: "Nooo, you lose 25 poun." I've seen Lan 3 times over a 3 year period (once a year) and she was so dead on with things going on in my life... she helped me get through some tough challenges... some predictions don't always come in order, or the exact people everytime, but the events did happen. I have gone to psychics off and on throughout the years for fun and definitely was interested in seeing Lan Vo, whom my coworkers at the time had all raved about. They told me how she was scarily accurate in her readings and dead on correct even down to the penny on financial topics. This I had to see and experience for myself. So my friend and I booked our three months out appointments and waited...until the day finally came and we were able to see her. We went in separately and had our appointments booked back to back, so we wouldn't be waiting there all day like others have. We also made sure that we arrived and checked in at least fifteen minutes early so that we wouldn't miss our long awaited appointments and be skipped by one of the many that waited around all day to jump at a moment's notice at any cancellations. There were a few there that day. I let my friend go in first. We decided to go in separately since we did want to question her about some personal things. After about forty-minutes (and $90.00 later) she walked out smiling, looking a little shocked and then it was my turn. I got seated. As soon as Lan Vo stepped in she called me a nickname that only my close friends knew. Wow. Then she had me cut her cards and dealt them out in front of us and began talking. I just sat there quietly. There were a few silent moments. I was determined not to say anything to give her any edge on telling me my future, so I just sat there patiently and smiled back at her. She then went on to telling me that I was going to buy a black suv and that I needed to put an alarm on it right away because a guy would be watching and wanting to steal it. I wasn't planning on buying a new car anytime soon, but amazingly I did end up getting a black Rav 4 suv, and I took her advice (Didn't want to take any chances.) and immediately had a professional alarm installed. Eager & Nervous Both words describe my feelings of this session. I made an appointment three months ago and was able to get a morning appt. (10:30 am). Figured it would give me three months to sort out my feelings and if at the point I wanted to cancel my session I would do so. I must admit that I have been to Lan many many moons ago and what she had pointed out back then did come to fruition. It was down to the names of the dudes that came into my life. One of them was a repeat name and back then I thought "NO WAY! SERIOUS THAT DUDE IS BAD NEWS". But fast forward to today, that same name is another dude that is making my life so much easier to live. If you have known me for a long time then you know that I've been to hell and back three too many times. Hence this current dude is the love of my life. As I waited for my turn another client struck up a conversation with me and she pointed out a very good point. If you don't have time to sit around on your appointment day for Lan then you shouldn't have made the appointment. And she's totally right. Who's to say that I want my session to be cut short because Lan only had a specific amount of time for my appointment. It's a reading and these things sometimes may very well go over the time that was allotted. Moving onto my reading. So she was spot on with my children. Spot on with my mother, father and current love. Showed her a pic of my better half and a wowzer came out. It was a heated conversation for a little bit in the car when I told him what she said. Lan went on to describe his situation and it was spot on. I did however write down my questions and before I could ask anything she was telling me what I was going to ask! For those things that was not clear to me or questionable I will make great effort to remember. Because this same thing happened on my first visit where things didn't make sense only to come true later. At that point my nervousness disappeared and all I could feel was warm loving energy from Lan which I am so grateful for. She did say a whole bunch more and I left feeling content, happy and accepting of things that I cannot control. Yes she has some skill which seems to consist of glimpses of the past and future (she is clearly better at the past). I think her insights are limited to being 3rd party objective glimpses with no depth. Stuff she was right about old boyfriend's name (cho han - she got the first syllable right) number of siblings parents were divorced. Stuff she got wrong - that the guy I was dating wouldn't cheat on me (he cheated on me with two women approximately 2 months after the reading.) that my father would find out that he had an illegitimate child by another woman? that my grandmother would die within a year. (This was 3 years ago and my grandmother is still very much alive.) I asked her how I would know when I've found the 'right' man to marry. Her answer was that i would know because the 'right' man would buy me a house and car. I'll acknowledge that my questions were stupid and that I should have placed more trust in my own experiences but still...the stuff she was wrong about was not just wrong but seriously misleading. 100$ for a 25 min reading and a 2 month waiting list that got changed two times a week before I was scheduled to fly over from another island? Are you kidding me? It is clear she had some psychic powers at some point in her life and when I read the other reviews, I think she may have been pretty darn good. I came here Jan 2014 when I was going through a lot of endings and I just couldn't tell what was going to happen next. My other family members have been going to Lan for many many years. She told my family a lot of things that came true. I don't doubt her ability at all but here are some of my thoughts: If you come with doubt, you will get a conflicted reading. You are a part of the reading. So, if you don't believe, don't bother dropping the big bills to come here. You are wasting her time and your money. Come with a long list of questions - you are paying for an hour; make sure to get it. She can ask for you and her readings are more detailed if you ask more questions. When you do come, have an open mind. She will tell you things that you didn't even think you'd ask. Ask more. So, is what she told me happening? A rejected a lot of the things she told me. I wasn't in the right state of mind to accept it. A year later, I'm in a better place, and actually, most of the things she said are coming to fruition. Some of the others, I hope to avoid. I have been to Lan Vo three times in probably a four year time span. I would say she's pretty accurate, but of course there are some minor glitches. I don't really take this psychic thing seriously, but if you ever come visit her you'll be blown away. She is so popular, you have to make an appointment 3 months in advance. Japanese stars, politicians, and the like also come here. They do walk ins but prepare to either wait all day or wait all day only to be turned away. At first I was nervous, but when you walk into her office, it is decorated with all her grandchildrens' photos, pictures of Jesus and little trinkets. She is a very smiley and friendly lady giving off a great vibe, so don't think she's some scary lady with a boiling cauldron of doom and a crystal ball. You will sit at a table and she reads from a deck of normal playing cards. You don't say your name or even speak and she just starts rattling off facts about your present and past. This time, she rattled off, "It's a boy. Definitely not a girl. And in vitro." That was totally freaky. Yes, I am having a boy and did in vitro. She told me that my baby will be a happy guy and will bring me good luck. He will also be a good and obedient child with light hair and hazel eyes. Said what date he would be born without me even saying how far along I was and also told me the time of day he will be born. Well, we will see. I was happy to hear that though because all I wanted to know was if he'd be healthy. She rattled off other facts about a friend dying recently which was true. Weird thing is, I wasn't thinking about him at the time. She told me he is happy and he says "Hi." She also told me how he passed and described his physical features to a T. There are a bunch of things coming my way, but I won't disclose them. All good though so can't wait. It's $120 a session, but sometimes she will charge you less if she likes you. After she says her piece you can ask clarification questions. Be prepared to wait. I had a 1130am appointment but didn't get seen until 2pm. Thus, docking one star. 10 years ago was the last time I saw Co Lan. I came with my grandma and was only 13 at the time so I didn't know much of what was going on other than I was in a big house to go see a friend of my grandma. We went into a room where she laid out cards and started asking my grandma questions and then asked me some questions. I went to see Lan Vo in 2004 while my husband was deployed. My main reason was to find out if the year would be ok and he would come HOME safe. I made an appointment 2 months out. I had my sister and her best friend with me. They waited in the car. Back then it was about $100 or something for the hour. I didn't say one word from the moment I sat down because I was a skeptic. I heard a lot of this psychic and I've seen some before but don't always believe everything I hear. I mean, we control our own destiny, right? Well, from the get go she hit everything on the nose about me, my family, my husband, my kids, my friends, etc. It was eerie. She even gave me readings of my sister and mom. Lan has a very strong accent and sometimes is hard to understand. She reads what she sees and feels and it's not going to be in any order. In other words, what she tells you is not in any type or order so don't expect things to happen tomorrow, a month, a year, etc. You will get flooded with all kinds of information and you choose what you want to remember. When one of my dear friends was in a rut and no amount of advice could help them, I advised them to go see the famous Lan Vo. I didn't get a reading for myself and I , but accompanied my friend. I sat next to them during the reading. After they drew a card, she started spewing information. She answered all of their questions and brought them tremendous peace of mind. She told him what career he will get into (a specific and unusual career already on their mind), but one thing in particular stood out to me. She had mentioned a field I was in.... it's a highly specialized field and when she said it, it knocked me off my feet. It is not a field that most people think of when it comes to careers. She said my friend would get into this, among a few other fields, but we've both come to the decision that she was referring to me. As in, she may have accidentally read me. Just went with a friend to see Lan Vo today. We made our appointment about 5 months in advance. My reading was an eye opening experience for a skeptic. There were general statements made that anyone could relate to. But on the other hand, she told me things that only I would know. One thing she told me totally blew me away since only two other people know about, and there is no way she could know! My reading went well and it seems there are many good things in my future. Im not one to think that the future is pre-determined, but if her predictions are true, I would be quite content with what is coming up for me. I was referred by locals. Go early (like 6:30am) if you can't get appointment. Sit outside and wait until she opens at 8am. Get on wait list. I was seen at 1:30pm. I knew I'd have to wait, so it wasn't a big deal. I brought a book and slept. I've never been to a psychic before.i knew I was going to go in sit down, not say a word, not react to what she was telling me and not give anything away with my body language - I've seen too many of them on TV picking hints up from people and then telling them what they want to hear. She was amazing. She practically named an ex boyfriend. She got one letter in his full name wrong. She got the exact age and description down to the combined ethnicity of current boyfriend. The list goes on, she nailed it. The only thing she got wrong were how many siblings I had and what sex they were. But everything else about my life, my parents etc was right. I called Lan Vo in September when my beloved cat disappeared. I was told no appointment until January unless I wanted to pay $350 immediately or I could wait until January for the $155. price for 30 minutes. I did not make an appointment that day. Later I decided to call again and was told I would need to compete for an appointment on Sunday at 9 am. I did that and received an appointment after giving my credit card number. Two days later I received an email stating that all appointments were booked but if I would like an immediate appointment I could have one for $355. For thirty minutes. WOW....Did this meeting with Lan Vo change the way I saw the world and the Universe. She told me names of people I knew and even professions, and facial features and appearances when she was adressing issues in my life. She even told me who I was going to marry, what he looked like, what he did for a living and also warned me of my mother's health. ( all came true) She said something about a cyst on my mother's kidney a year ago and 2 months ago my mom went in for a health check/MRI and the Dr's told her she had a cyst on her kidney and might need surgery! She knew specific information to validate herself. I didn't believe in this phenomenon before but now I'm a believer and boy does it feel great to know that God is here with us and watching us! Since then I have been back a few more times.. If you get in early in the morning she probably will be more accurate than later in the afternoon. I always show up at her house at 6:30-7am for a walk-in. Just bring a book and something to drink or eat and you will be all set. I wish she would charge less because the $100 is just a bit much for me. Still, I highly recommend seeing her as you will have proof that it is possible to tap into the "movies" of our past, present and future and that somehow our life experiences have been "archived" and is accessible to a few special people like her. Here is she several years later working at Tiffany's! She had completely forgotten what Lan had said but in the end it came true. Another good friend went to see her and she told him that he lives off Ala Wai! He was like.. hey! How did you know where I live? She told another friend of all the tatoos on her body and where they were and what they looked like when they were covered. Another good friend we'll call him Chris went to see her and I got to sit-in with him during his reading. She started talking about how he has 2 jobs. ( he really does) 1 for the government/social services, and 1 playing the guitar at night doing gigs. She said she can hear the music and she started to impersonate his music which was right on. She also saw his injuries from his recent motorcycle accident and described exactly where the pain was and said he was very lucky he didn't die. That Angels were around during his accident that saved him. He was blown away to say the least...... I waited for months to see Lan Vo, after a friend had this AMAZING reading. I read all the reviews and talked to different close friends who had seen her and loved her. I figured it would be worth $120 to get some perspective and guidance on a few topics in my life that are unresolved. Long story short, I left with way more questions than answers. Let's take out all the business aspect first, and focus on the reading. Right away she got some stuff about me wrong, like how many kids I had and their gender. She said I had lost a child, nope. She said my kids had different dads, nope. I instantly felt uncomfortable, like the credibility of everything else was questionable. I got a lot of general statements after that, "don't worry, you worry a lot" and "you lucky". Some of the advice was contradictory: stay where you are because you have help AND move to Vegas??? She told me give my kids dad another chance, until I told her the situation, then she said she didn't see me with him??? Sigh. There were also some specifics she got right, like I have family on the north shore. All in all, the reading was confusing as a lot of the insight seemed either canned and generic, what she thought i might want to hear, or based on her personal feelings about things rather than from some psychic insight (like not to get another tattoo). I guess I expected to leave with more clarity, and because I left thoroughly confused, I feel like it wasted my money. This is a review of a reading I inadvertently received 20yrs ago from Mrs. Vo. I was accompanying my mom. Towards the end of my mom's reading, she started mentioning seeing "2" all around me and saying she saw a little baby boy around. She then turned to me. I started crying because earlier that year I lost a pregnancy and always felt in my heart that I had a son. She started talking in great detail about specific people in my life and going on to detail specific number of children, career, relationships and how those would develop. Fast forward 20yrs later, all but two things have transpired- with frightening accuracy. My wife, my father and I have seen Ms Lam, the first time was in 1989, we saw her three times when we were going to Hawaii. You don't say anything. She doesn't ask you any questions. She just starts telling you things. She first tells you in great detail about you and your family's past, with amazing accuracy. Then she tells you about the present, again with much detail, and incredible accuracy. Then she advises you about the future. By this time I was so impressed that I hung on every word she said. She warns you by advising you to be careful of xyz. She doesn't make many predictions, but what she did predict would happen has happened, over the following years. A couple of examples: She told me how many brothers and sisters I have, and how many children of which sex they had. Correct. And what type of work we all did. Correct. She predicted a divorce for a sibling. Came true 8 years later. She told me that my mother had died of hypothermia. True. She told my wife to drive slower and avoid night driving. This was valid. I had an appointment to see Lan Vo today and the experience was pretty mind blowing! I am not particularly superstitious, but she was pretty right on about a lot of facts and details about me and my family. Without going in depth on personal details, she knew I was born in the year of snake, my brother's name, my mom's health condition, and the city where I was born..etc. She was empathetic when I had some tears after mentioning my dad's passing. She was kind and gentle and honest though out the reading. I think me and her personalities just kind of clicked. near the end of the session, she wrote some things on a bill and folded it into a crane, and told me to keep it for good luck! As for wait time, the appointment booking was about 3 months wait and for the actual waiting time at the appointment, I had waited about 30-40 minutes so it wasn't too bad. I did overheard a lady there who was a walk-in and she had waited about 5 hours but when I got out she got called in to see Lan Vo. Very interesting reading. She shared a lot of information about loved ones that passed. Some of which was alarming since I had a great relationship with my in-laws. She shared that my mother-in-law was upset with me and that she forgave me. The clincher that makes me believe that this is true is the statement, "never mind them." Something she would always say when my in-laws would do something hurtful. She also shared the fact about my grandfather worked in the plantation and is very lonely and sad because no one visits him. True, he did work in the plantation and his gravesite is located in Waipahu near the elementary and the gates are unlocked during memorial weekend only. As for some events some of it was "iffy" maybe its not the past or current but the future we shall see. She was accurate that I am a worry wart but that could be seen by my body language. It's much more fun to visit when you're a non-believer. I only went at the insistence of a roommate, whom at the time, I considered nuts. I didn't believe in psychics, but figured I didn't have anything to lose but time, so I dropped in and waited with as much of an open mind as possible. This is my second time going. When your driving up Pali Hwy, it is on your right, the driveway is very narrow so as soon as you see the house pull in immediately because there is no room for error. I think there is a Church right next door. My advice is, definitely get an appointment, the earlier in the day is best, so she's not tired. But more importantly you need to do your part. You need to have a good nights rest, meditate, and come with a positive attitude. My perception is that she is a mind reader. Thats how I felt the first time and was reaffirmed the second time. She can only see as much as you can, and your lucky if she can see past. She pulls up images, so stay away from computers and tv's. She is always dead on with the past and present. The only reason why I gave her 4 stars instead of 5 is because I'm not too sure about the future stuff she mentions. She's a very nice lady and if you concentrate hard enough, the accent won't be a problem. The waiting room is very comfortable and a nice cool breeze is always flowing through.
