We were told they had beaten the S&P 500 for the ten years prior to our investing with them (2014). In the five years they have been investing our money, our returns have been between 5.2 and 6% per year. During the same time, the S&P 500 has been up 10.2% per year and the QQQ has been up more than 18% per year. I'm pretty sure a monkey throwing darts at a stock chart would have done as well or better than Burney did. Do not invest your money with them. TdAmeritrade recommended Burney to us. I am doing my best to get TdAmeritrade to take them off Their recommended list. Bottom line is, don't invest with Burney.

This also means that you can rely on expert, attentive service at all times. Of late, I have gone to Mark to go over my policies, to see if I am missing coverage, to see if I can save money, and to go over things like 'Open Enrollment.' Usually when I see those emails, I avoid them in my in box until it's too late... and then I pretend like I never saw them. Mark has a (free) service where he'll sit down with you, explain everything and teach you how to investigate what you (might) need. He really takes the time to take extra steps. His whole staff does. Other insurance carriers may offer cheaper rates but the assurance that I have good neighbors watching out for me will keep me with State Farm -- specifically Mark and his team.

I started calling around and I was getting expensive quotes and then somebody told me to call Allstate and I got more coverage for much less. I had left my homeowners insurance with State Farm because it was going to be in effect until June of this year, so I just recently upgraded my homeowners insurance. I got more coverage for 50% of the price of State Farm. And I've been with State Farm pretty much my entire life. And I was supposedly getting"discounts" from them, but in reality it was a massive rip off...really a serious rip off. I never once met Jeff Summers in seven years of supposedly having him as my agent. And when I called and told them about what happened with Allstate, they tried to tell me how much better State Farm was, which is just salesman bullshit. I'm a salesman. I know the deal so no, I would not recommend these people at all. I wouldn't recommend State Farm at all.I got more coverage on my homeowners insurance and my deductible went down from $2500 to $1000. So do yourself a favor and call anybody except these people!
