We were looking for a lunch place near Arta and this place came up with good reviews on other…read moresites. We arrived at about 12:40, and the server said they weren't open until 1, but we were welcome to sit and wait. This is a lovely space, outside on a terrace in the middle of nowhere. We ordered wine and bread, olives and dip (small charge for this, which the waiter checked we were OK with), and our order was in with the kitchen before 1pm. Friendly and helpful staff all through the meal. We shared the vegetarian pallela, which was very exciting for me--as a lifelong vegetarian, I've never had pallela before, and it was delicious. Definitely enough for two people. My guy was feeling particularly hungry so also got the barbecued quail, despite the server saying it was way too much food. He managed most of both and said the quail was very good. Unfortunately no room for dessert, but the ice cream looked great. There are a number of cats that hang around, very well behaved, didn't jump on the tables but obviously interested in scraps. They were really cute and only added to the atmosphere. The only negative thing I would say is that I don't see a way of getting to and from this restaurant without going through Arta, which has literally the narrowest street I have ever driven on (the rental car had sensors to try to alert you before bumping into things and they were both screaming the whole time I crawled down this road). Out by the actual restaurant is fine, but give yourself a few minutes to get through the town to avoid too much stress. Everyone we interacted with switched to English once they heard my terrible Spanish, and German was also spoken, based on conversations at nearby tables.

Fabulous spot on a very quiet lane leading to the Betlem hermitage. We had a large table for 8…read moreunder a tree for a long, lazy dinner. We had starters to share as they are huge (and delicious), Paella, lamb and various fish dishes. Everything was amazing!
