We started our search in May for a two-family home. We contacted Lamacchia Realty and they were super quick to respond. Being that we were first time home-buyers, the guy took the time to explain how things work in the real estate market, and said he'd set up a meeting with one of their agents (VINNY SCIFO) that very same day. We liked Vinny right away, BUT were not sure of how experienced he was... given his young age (under 30) haha. Well, boy...little did we know that Vinny would be our blessing! He's the most responsive realtor in the whole world - and I'm not exaggerating. He would respond to our endless questions and concerns 24/7. I'm telling you, that guy is the best agent out there! A little context here: After checking out lots and lots of properties, our offer for a two-family house was finally accepted...and you'd think that's all smooth sailing from there but NOOOOO! That's where the rigmarole started. Turned out there were too many complications between the sellers (2 sellers), and the worst part was their lawyer - a stubborn, litigation lawyer who had no clue of real-estate. Long story short, we went back and forth for 2 MONTHS...and if it wasn't for Vinny, we would have given up and backed out of the agreement 100 times. He kept us going, and "fighting" for us, keeping us informed every step of the way, texting us several times a day, touching base and giving us the latest updates on the progress. I have to mention that he was on vacation for 5 days, and EVEN THEN he kept reaching out to the sellers' attorney every day to make sure the process was not stalled and we were kept informed. We can not say enough good things about Vinny. He's a ROCK STAR!! He's professional, he's an amazing negotiator, super responsive, has his client's best interest at heart and will never give up on you. He'll go above and beyond just to make things happen. Even after we signed the P&S agreement (most of the realtors will then disappear as they don't really need to be involved in the rest of the process) but not Vinny...he even came with us to the closing just to be there for us. We can't say enough good things about him! We'd give him 10 stars out of 5 if we could. He's THE BEST and we highly recommend him to anyone who needs an agent THEY CAN TRUST! read more

If you are considering a short sale on your home, I highly recommend using McGeough Lamacchia. They have this process down to a science. Trust me, I tried using other realtors and attorneys with no success. My story: I had given up any hope of being able work anything out with Flagstar after a year of nothing but frustration and tears while trying to do everything they requested but getting nowhere. It was just by chance that I heard what they had done for a friend so I decided I had nothing else to lose and gave them a call. Right from the very first phone call, I started to regain some hope of being able to do a short sale on the home and salvage what is left of my credit. Everyone I worked with during this process was wonderful. It was such an amazing experience having so many people that were on my side, pushing to make sure this sale went through. Everytime I called with a question or sent an email, I always received a fast response and they always helped to put my frazzled nerves at ease. They have such an extraordinary staff, EVERYONE was great, I am so grateful to Anthony Lamacchia, Alex Montalto and Dave Karoly for getting this approved through Flagstar, no easy task, but Alex always kept me informed and calmed my fears when time was running out. Just when I thought we were all done fighting with banks, there was the ridiculous list of demands from our buyers bank, but June Schaufus was right there with me, helping me through the process and always keeping me updated. I would get emails from her at 9pm with updates or requests from the bank. She was truly dedicated to helping get this sale through. Angela Walker was also wonderful in answering every question I had about the process and very understanding about my worries but set me at ease each time. Now that this is all over, I feel like I can breathe again. I have finally moved on with my life and have started planning for my future. It felt like the end to this ordeal would never come, but thanks to McGeough Lamacchia it finally has. I will be forever grateful to them for this. read more

This review is for Matt Czepiel. I was brand new to Boston and didn't realize I was coming here soon after the "9/1" move in date. Between being new to the city, traveling a ton for work, and needing to find housing within 30 days, I was fairly stressed out. I happened to meet Matt through a Zillow listing for a rental. Within the first few minutes, it was easy to tell that, as much as Matt has a job to do, he cares much more about helping someone find a place that is a great fit and will meet their needs more than just getting a lease signed or a paycheck. I must have asked him a dozen questions, many of which were likely ridiculous or simply just about the city and adjusting here, and he answered every one of them with patience. Matt's desire to help was even more evident when he shared with me that he's more on the home buying side of things than helping with rentals, but still offered to help me knowing I was brand new to the city and on a time crunch. After the first place wasn't what I was looking for, I didn't anticipate hearing from Matt again knowing he didn't work with rentals much. Then, a week or so later I got an email from him with a listing, and not just any listing; one that fit nearly every checkbox of what I had told Matt I was looking for in rental from amenities to location to budget. From there, Matt helped streamline every step of the process between working with the landlords to getting the lease signed and making it convenient to get deposits in order. He even went the extra mile to re-show the property to my then potential and now current roommate because I had to be out of town for two weeks and was worried I wouldn't find a roommate in time. Where most realtors would stop there, Matt has since taken the time to reach out and ask how the rental is working out. As a new person in the city, the experience with Matt made my impression of Boston all that more welcoming. Needless to say, I know who my realtor will be when it comes time to buy my first home. read more

We were first time home buyers and now, thanks to Kristen Meleedy of Lamacchia Realty, we are first time home owners. Kristen started with us in the middle of a snowstorm during the month of February here in Massachusetts 2014. Anyone who lives here can tell you that it was a terrible winter, but she was amazing. Arriving just ahead of the storm, answering our questions and providing us with as much information as we desired. Within a week we were attending Open Houses and seeing homes that fit in with our initial "Must-haves and Want lists." We quickly realized that our must-haves needed to change and Kristen found us home after home to fit the bill. She helped us get through the process of putting our first offer in on a home. She met us promptly at each location and even become one of our 2 year-old son's favorite people to see. We felt very well looked after and cared for under Kristen's tutelage. She was a guide and a partner in our adventure. When we found our eventual home, she worked even harder; ensuring that our needs were met, our concerns assuaged, our questions answered. She provided us with innumerable contacts and nuggets of advice to keep us rooted and moving forward. She was, in a word, impeccable. Someday, if we sell, and if Kristen is still working. We will find her, and list with her wherever she may be. She made a daunting, frightening, and difficult experience exhilarating, relaxing, and simple. Absolutely the experience that I needed when buying my first home and I know that she will do the same for anyone because that is simply the kind of Realtor and person that she is. Joselin Malkhasian at Lamacchia Realty just helped us sell our condo and buy our dream house. We are so thrilled with the service we got from the entire team at Lamacchia, but particularly Joselin was so incredibly helpful! They sold our condo so fast! And we got well over asking price. The buying market was very competitive, and I'm a bit picky, but Joselin quickly figured out exactly the right houses to show us, and helped us put in a competing bid when we found the perfect one. She went above and beyond to make sure we got the house, and even negotiate some extras for us. :) Joselin really cares about her clients, taking personal interest in their needs and wants. She is also incredibly responsive, 24x7, and really knows the ins and outs of buying and selling. The entire process from start to finish was so easy. The Lamacchia team took care of everything, and kept us informed and educated every step of the way. We didn't have to worry about anything. They are also very well connected and helped us assemble an all star team from lender and attorney to inspector and mover. To be perfectly honest, I was skeptical at first... all of their advertising seemed too good to be true, what's the catch, right?... but I'm soooo glad we decided to go with them (ok, my husband convinced me to use them despite my skepticism), because they really are the best at what they do and they really do live up to all the hype. I would highly recommend Joselin and Lamacchia Realty to anyone looking to buy or sell a home. read more

Julie Gross was amazing!! Julie helped my husband and myself find our dream home and did everything in her power to help us get it. She was always on time for our appointments, was very knowledgeable about the area, and most importantly was so kind and pleasant to deal with. She went above and beyond her duty. I even recall her pushing her own plans with her family to the side on a Sunday night, so that she could help us finalize all of our paperwork to make our offer. My husband was actually working that night and she went to his work to bring papers that we needed to have signed. On the other end of this we also needed to sell our house first in one week otherwise we would lose the offer on our new home. We thought this was impossible, but Julie remained calm and confident. She walked us through step by step of what we needed to do to get our house ready to sell. Of course she pulled it off and sold the house for us in less than a week for over asking price. She also took care of everything for us as we had already booked a trip out of the country at the same time all this was happening. We were so nervous to go away and wanted to cancel the trip as we did not want to lose the house and knew there were still so many loose ends to tighten up. Julie said relax and enjoy your trip, I have it under control. And she certainly did! Julie was the definition of going above and beyond. She was a true professional and I would recommend anyone looking for a real estate agent to call Julie Gross. read more

My wife and I weren't sure if we could do a short sale or not. We weren't behind on our payments and we liked our home. The only thing was that some major expenses were going to be coming up. A new roof was going to be needed, front walkway repaired, insulation installed and a paint job or siding on outside of the house. We said that it will still be awhile before the market turns around and would we get this money back or should we short sell if we can and put this money towards our retirement. We wanted to be responsible and do the right thing. We decided to talk with McGeough Lamacchia Realty and see what our options were and if it would work for us. We were assured it was the responsible thing to do and that it could work for us and they would handle everything. We are very glad we made the decision to go with McGeough Lamacchia Realty. They were Honest, upfront and kept us fully up to date with everything that was going on. We were assigned a contact case manager Krissy whom was a pleasure to work with. She answered all our calls and emails within 24 hrs., which is excellent with the volume of work and cases they have. She was always positive and reassuring. We would recommend anyone thinking about the short sale or anything to do with buying or selling real estate to use McGeough Lamacchia Realty. They will receive the best Professional services available we can attest to that. Ronald & Janette Y. read more

I just want to send out a giant THANK YOU KRISTEN M. for helping to sell my first home. I had never sold a home before, and I did not have a good knowledge of the real estate market and had no idea about what I had to do or how to do it. So I really needed a trust worthy person to the right thing by me, to sell my home for a good price and provide reliable service. I instantly liked her, she presented as professional, knowledgeable and was very experienced in the real estate business. I knew I had found the right person to sell my home. Kristen was with me all the way, from the time before I went on the market to sell to the closing day! Kristen communicated with me every step about what was happening and what was coming next. Kristen got a full price offer one day after the open house. My aunt was selling her home at the same time I was so we would compare notes. My aunt's house was worth much more than mine, yet the service that I received from Kristen would have you thinking otherwise. I would share with my aunt what was happening and I kept hearing, my real estate agent isn't doing that. From the professional pictures, to the write up, as well as picking up the 6d certificate, Kristen blew the other real estate agent out of the water. I would definitely recommend Kristen to anyone who is considering selling their family home. read more

All we I can say is WOW! I was very impressed with Peggy Perkin's professionalism, personal attention, and marketing strategies. Peggy is a first class, high caliber, real estate professional, I received her personal attention almost on a daily basis! Selecting a real estate professional to represent me in the purchase or a new home and the sale of my home was a major decision. After 16 years of mortgage payments and home improvements I was looking for a professional who could help me realize the best possible return on my investment. She was always available for questions, and made me feel like I was her only client, she is gifted, talented and knows her market. Peggy Perkins was by far the right choice for me. Peggy quickly learned what I wanted and found it for me! I am totally clueless when it comes to these things, and she directed me in every way possible to help make it smooth and effortless. Peggy listened closely to my needs, developed a plan specific to my home, and then implemented the plan. She worked with me through the purchase of a new home and sale of my existing home, within a few weeks and she found my dream home and within two weeks my condo sold. I was totally impressed and would highly recommend Peggy to anyone who wants to sell their home quickly and not leave money on the table. read more

Can't speak highly enough of Kristen Meleedy, strongly recommend working with her especially if you're a first-time home buyer. I was afraid to take out a large mortgage- originally my plan was to get a condo, I'm very glad Kristen stepped in and set me in the right direction. Now I own a 2-family home and pay the mortgage with rent I collect. The house is perfect for me - as soon as she found it Kristen insisted that I get out and have a look. Because I was still a little hesitant she had to pressure me a little. At first I was upset about that (keep in mind at this point I'm still thinking condo, I'm 28, and I never spent this kind of money before) but now I understand & appreciate what she was doing for me. Another realtor might have been happy to sell me a condo, collect their pay, and move on to the next (less jittery, less of a hassle) customer - Kristen was adamant about me getting the house instead. She was 110% right - since I bought I've had 100% occupancy in the rental unit and my home's value has increased over 25%. Because I listened to Kristen I own a home I love at a great location and my finances are solid. I owe her a huge debt of gratitude, what she did for me was above & beyond the call of duty. read more

Joselin's tenacity, intellect, warmth, candor, good humor and savvy are remarkable. We are so grateful she rose to the unique challenge we presented! Imagine 5 adults looking for a property together, with each individual bringing different needs and different agendas to the table! Joselin took our collective pulse, gathered our varying input, and miraculously helped us find the perfect home. She worked tirelessly on our behalf, always willing to take phone calls or seek out new alternatives. In this competitive market, we found her to be creative, determined. and tenacious. It was not unusual for her to call with a new thoughts on how we might increase our chances of our offers being accepted or with new approaches to our search. She thought outside the box and was pro-active in guaranteeing our success. And what was most amazing and remarkable.... she made the entire process of house-hunting fun and enjoyable! We all looked forward to our Saturday quests together and we all enjoyed spending time with Joselin each week. Joselin is a remarkable individual whom we trust, respect, appreciate, admire and totally enjoy! Thank you Joselin! read more

After buying our first multi-famiy home in 2009 from Lamacchia Reality, my husband and I knew immediately we would use Anthony and his team for all future purchases. Last month (May 2016) we had the pleasure of working with Abby Jacobs who found us a tenant for one of the units in our home. We never thought to reach out to Lamacchia Reality to find tenats before and we're sorry we didn't. The ease of working with Abby was perfect. My husband runs his own business and I am a working Mom. There is very little time in the day for many things let alone finding a tenant while turning over the unit from the previous renter. I am sorry we didn't reach out to Lamacchia Reality sooner to help us! Abby was very professional and super friendly and personable to work with. She kept in contact with us throughout the entire process and she respectfully listened to all of our requests. I honestly can not say enough nice things about Lamacchia Reality. We highly recommend them to everyone that is looking to buy, sell or rent a home. We are looking forward to using them in the spring when we buy our single family! read more

Matt Czepiel made my wife and I feel confident the process of selling our house and buying a new house would go as smooth as possible. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He helped us find our new home and researched the property well, trying to think of any potential issues that could exist (many of which I never even considered). After everything checked out, we went ahead and made a competitive offer that was accepted after minor negotiations, which Matt expertly helped us with. The sale was contingent on selling our (at the time) current home. He came to our home, made some recommendations and gave us clear instructions on what to do to help boost the value of the property. After we acted on his instructions, we listed the house and it sold within a week for over asking price! I never once felt in the dark on how the whole buying and selling process was going, as Matt was in constant communication with us and answered our questions clearly. I couldn't have been happier with the process, and that is because Matt was with us every step of the way! Thank you! read more

This was my second time attempting to buy a home which I decided to pick a new real estate agent instead of using the same one from the previous attempt. I had Kristen helping me this time and from the start she showed a very professional side and comfortably to me knowing that this time around would be a success! She showed me many homes and it was a lot of looking before I found a house that I had liked but not once did she give up or stop searching for new homes I might be interested in and sending me houses that she thought I might like even in surrounding towns I hadn't mentioned. She went above and beyond her job in my eyes to try and find me a nice cozy home as she did very well. She wasn't trying to force me into a sale ever or push me into something I didn't want. If you're looking for a hard working very respectful agent then this is not only who you should have... but who you MUST HAVE! Was a great pleasure working with Kristen Meleedy and look forward to it if I decide to buy another home! Jeff G., Mansfield, Massachusett read more

Top notch customer service from these folks! This summer, we bought our first home with the help of Melissa Deane. She was great to work with - she listened to us, never pressured us, she was flexible, timely with responding to our questions, proactive with our offer (there was a competing offer on the house we wanted), guided us through the process every step of the way. Things went very smoothly thanks to Melissa - and we LOVE our new home. But what *really* impressed us about this company though was their follow-through on another matter. Melissa checked in with us after the sale to see how things were going and heard that we were having a customer service issue with a 3rd party - a company that ML Realty had a relationship with. Melissa got Anthony Lamacchia involved and they went above and beyond what we could have expected and intervened on our behalf to help get this issue resolved quickly and to our satisfaction. Amazing customer service - wow! These guys will take great care of you. I highly recommend them. read more

This review is for Matt Czepiel who we used to find our (my wife and I's) first home. Matt started with us over a year before we ended up finding our current place. He took the time from beginning to end to not only explain the process, but also answer all of our questions. He suggested open houses, gave us things to look for, and when we were ready, submitting an offer. He always went the extra mile, always being there for inspections and even going to City hall to ensure no open permits were left for our condo. We felt extremely comfortable when we finally found our condo, and Matt laid out everything and worked with some people we had picked out to complete the transaction. Before I go too long, I'll simply say Matt is extremely knowledgeable, patient, helpful and always there for us. I wouldn't and won't use anyone else for these reasons. I highly recommend Matt. We love our condo and wouldn't be where we are without him! read more

My recent house hunting experience was quite an adventure... yes it was fun, but it was also stressful and trying at times. It took me two years and many offers before I finally found "my house" and got my offer accepted in this sellers' market (where many of my competitors seemed to have cash for their purchases). But Chrissy was wonderful. She was a true professional; she was knowledgeable, calm (when I wasn't!) and extremely patient! I had a price range that fluctuated about $150K (due to the rising prices and my rising frustration) and a location range that was all over the map. Chrissy, always very politely, helped to keep me in focus of my goals. One thing that was very important to me was responsiveness. Chrissy exceeded my expectations in that regard. She always got back to me very promptly, and seemed to be available at all times. I couldn't ask for anything more in an agent, and would highly recommend Chrissy! read more

I recently moved to MA from CA and trying to find a new home from 3,000 miles away was tough. I found an apartment listing online and clicked the link to "send me more information". Kristen got back to me first thing the next morning to provide me with information about the property and kept in touch with me as we worked through different ways for me to see the apartment. I had a friend go to the open house in place of my and we did a virtual tour, and I fell in love. Kristen got me the paperwork right away and made it so easy for us to secure our new home from across the country. THEN she blew me away by going the extra mile to message me to make sure we had arrived safely and to see if there was anything else we needed. I can't imagine having done this without her - she definitely helped to make this move stress free. I am so looking forward to working with her again when we are ready to buy. read more
