She's the absolute sweetest! Their prices are fair, it's a convenient location, everything is really clean without giving it a medical vibe. The decor is very appropriately aesthetic, happy and calm blues, whites, creams to compliment the wood floors and chairs. The ceiling is one of a kind, and it really distracts from the pain of waxing LOL. The girls at the front desk are always super friendly and try their best to do what they can for you. They're extremely understanding and offer such amazing service.

I went to the salon about a few weeks ago for intimate waxing session and noticed that the therapist was doubled dipping the wax sticks. I let it slide at the time but then I went home and researched the danger of double dipping during intimate waxing sessions. Seriously guys it is very unhygienic and it is highly possible to contract disease like STI from the contaminated wax pot. Would never go back again. After the posting my review, knowing full and well what I said was true, the owner avoided the issue and even denied the fact they serviced me as a customer. This kind of attitude is not going to help bringing customers back.

I was initially nervous to go in for a brazillian - im a bigger girl and I was unsure how the process went. Jyoti nade me feel completely comfortable, was professional and respectful the entire time, and has a great way of putting someone at ease (even when your bits are totally exposed!) I also get my eyebrows threaded, and have had other staff do this as well. They pay attention to detail, take their time and I never feel rushed though the place is usually busy (but well staffed). I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking to find a regular beauty bar with high quality and friendly faces.

On November 19, 2024, I visited Annie's Beauty Bar in Hamilton to get my hair done before my…read morecorporate Christmas party. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. First Impressions: My stylist, Melissa, appeared unkempt and unprofessional. She looked like she had just rolled out of bed, with messy hair and inappropriate attire. Additionally, she seemed to be sick, with a red nose and constant sniffing, yet she wasn't wearing a mask. This was my first red flag, but I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. The Haircut: I came prepared with pictures of the angular bob I wanted, a style I've had before and knew suited me. I explicitly told Melissa that I did not want bangs. However, she cut my hair shorter than I wanted and added layers, which resulted in unwanted bangs. My face dropped when I saw the result. The Colour: Melissa misunderstood the colour I wanted, mistaking a grey tone in the reference photo for the desired color. She applied highlights starting at the root, which is not ideal. Although she eventually corrected the toner, the final color was still not what I had asked for. Styling: Melissa finished by blow-drying my hair and using a straightening iron without giving it any shape or style. My hair ended up dry and crispy, leaving me feeling worse than when I walked in. Payment Issues: To add insult to injury, Melissa informed me that the debit machine wasn't working and asked me to send the payment directly to her email. Reluctantly, I complied and sent an e-transfer of $299.80. Follow-Up: Because I was so unhappy with the results, I decided to contact Annie directly. Upon contacting Annie, the owner, I discovered that Melissa had been taking payments to her personal account without reporting the payments to the salon. Annie offered me Melissa's contact information to request a refund, which I found completely inappropriate. After two weeks of no response, Annie informed me that Melissa had been let go and reiterated that I should contact her directly for the refund. This is unacceptable, as the responsibility for the refund should lie with the business owner. Conclusion: My experience at Annie's Beauty Bar was extremely disappointing. The lack of professionalism, poor service, and mishandling of payment issues reflect badly on the business and its owner. I would not recommend this salon to anyone.

I'm literally so torn between this review…read more The girls were very nice and soft spoken and I LOVED the place. Everything was clean and pretty and bright. I'm conflicted as the original girl who was shaping my nails got bullied into servicing this lady who was upset because she couldn't make her appointment yesterday but wanted to get her nails done today. Go figure. So the front desk girl took over and she was inexperienced as hell. First she made my cuticles bleed by pulling waay too hard. Secondly, she painted my nails and there's so many bumps :( my nails aren't smooth at all. But she was trying so hard. She painted 3 coats on my nails and she was so sweet. I love my nails from a distance. But if you look close :( They also did offer me a free drink but after the bully lady came in, they didn't have anybody on the floor to bring drinks from next door. Definitely be back, making sure I get the first girl though. Shellac, 3 coats, $30.
