Packed my gear in my luggage, hoping to check out the local level, all for naught. Desperately stopped by 3 other pb parks on my way to the airport. All the same result. The playground has slides different heights of slides and climbing games for different ages. The swings have belted seat spot for anyone needing extra assistance. The ground cover is solid so you don't have to worry about wood chips or rocks! And the fields are wide and open to run in. They aren't as flat as you would hope for a game of soccer but it's doable. This spot is super hot for pickleball and tennis. There's also 2 baseball fields. They recently fenced off the elementary school field grounds for safety which I fully support! Those playgrounds and fields are open outside of school hours.

We happened upon this park, and even though the rest of the canyon was packed, this was spread out enough that it didn't feel cramped at all. We saw plenty of parking from the road, so we pulled off for a pit stop. We walked across the bridge and towards the trail--this park sits right on the Provo River and the walkway--and then wandered back towards the restrooms and large grassy area. There are pavilions, and some kind of amphitheater, but we were looking for a picnic table in the sun and found plenty of them. We picnicked indeed! There are lots of places to picnic, including the grass or tables, and saw lots of kids riding bikes and scooters along the walkways that wind around. It looks like you can take off into the trees a little, though I'm unsure if there are any official hikes. With the golden sun starting to get lower in the sky, we ate our sandwiches and drank in the ambrosia of fresh canyon air, turning leaves, and a place dedicated to people getting out to enjoy it all.

This new Regional Park held a "grand opening" in June 2023, unveiling a huge grassy field, multiple jungle gyms, a basketball court, a Pavillion you may rent, and a restroom facility. Nestled in a residential area, there's sweeping views of mountains all around. Don't even worry about parking....there's LOTS of parking, at least three different lots all around this majestic park. I didn't see any EV chargers though. Maybe those will arrive in future phases? I mean, there's LOTS of space for solar panels and it is blazing with sun.... According to their website, Phase 1 was a $18 million investment from a handful of different organizations. Now, 160 acres is a lot of grass and plants...where is the water coming from to maintain this greenery?

There's also a place by the bathrooms to lock up your bike if needed. Several benches for parents to sit at. Beautiful mountain range views. Square walking around around it. Some large trees for shade too by the picnic tables. Also a fun swing set! 4 stars because it is in a neighborhood that's older and so the feeling isn't as new or as classy as other parks. It also is hard to find parking since it's close behind BYU campus.

Not only is it a…read morevery short drive for us (not exactly close enough to walk), but you can see the gorgeous mountain range, you're close to the lake, there are little water reservoirs (?) to stroll around, and these soccer fields are giant!!! Parking is plentiful and easy-peasy. Luckily there weren't any soccer teams playing on the soccer field we posted up at, so we were able to take up a lot of space. I liked how there were some hilly parts on the side of the field that gives my dog some more interesting sprints. The grass was nice and fluffy, so I laid down for a bit and watched the clouds go by. Lovely breeze and people-watchin'. FYI - this is where the paved Jordan River Parkway (trail) starts/ends. I hit a dead end when I biked here without the pup. Go West, and I promise there is plenty of paved road with beautiful views to keep you goin (I believe it goes for 40+miles!!) You follow the river and can look at the mountains while passing the plentiful trampolines in people's backyards. This will be a summer fave for me (and my pup).

I counted four (4!) full-sized soccer fields (with official-size goal posts), two fishing ponds, clean rest rooms, about 2.5 miles of perfect strolling along the Utah Lake Parkway trail, and easy access to the lake. North Lake isn't a playground park or really a picnic park. It's an outdoor sports park, and hiking park, and a great view park. And oh what park it is!

This park has a direct connection to the Bridal Veils park/trail as well. I did see a closed for the season sign blocking entrance into the parking lot areas, so you would have to park elsewhere and walk to this main area. If you're close enough to the river, the sound of the water drowns out the cars driving by on the road. I came to this park last week when I wanted to get away from the apartment for a while. I drove up the canyon for a few minutes and drove off the freeway to see that the parking lot for Bridal Veil Falls Park was packed, so I took a left and made my way over to Nunn's Park. I didn't wander over to the campground area, but the park is pretty nice. The trees are finally green and the sun was out, so I was able to kick back and enjoy how beautiful this place is during spring. Oh, but I must say, they have ants that I haven't seen since rural San Diego. Those nasty HUGE black ants...yikes. I've only seen those tiny house ants around here, so it was a bit of a shock. If you stray from the view of the water and just look at the bridge and the road above you, it's not all that pretty, but I guess that's the benefit of having two parks so close together. If you get tired of one, just walk across the street to the other one. Provo Canyon would have to be the most beautiful thing I've seen in Utah.

It's nothing to be utterly amazed by, but it's a nice park for what it's worth.
